stumbleupon.com Traffic Statistics

Stumble was bought out by a company that owns Mix.com. To keep the stories up stumblers have to transfer over to Mix.com by June 30th when stumbleupon is no more.

Stumbleupon is currently rated at 2155 globally and 1052 in the US.
Mix.com is rated 36,597 in the US. They are rated 162,501 globally.
The site IMHO is slow and convoluted. Folks will have a heck of a time finding anything.
I think this is another example of corporate censorship.

2nd American Revolution essential stages: 1) Recognize the US .01% illegal rogue state empire, 2) Speak up, 3) Engage where Life/God gives you battles to offer choice for ‘We the People’

*hyperlinks/videos live at source*

“There are three scales of intelligence, one which understands by itself, a second which understands what is shown it by others, and a third which understands neither by itself nor on the showing of others.”~ Niccolò Machiavelli. The Prince, Chapter XXII, page 172 (London: Oxford University Press, 1913) Translated by Ninian Hill Thomson

After 41 years of civic activism to end empire-imposed poverty, history-endured, and Orwellian-illegal Wars of Aggression started with lies known to be lies as they were told, and have truth in media and education, I conclude the role of the awake has been to offer fundamental choices to We the People for standing for virtue or kneeling to evil in either willful complicity or willful disconnection from our Brothers and Sisters’ enslavement as work animals, “food” and sadistic entertainment for evil.

I do my best to artistically represent the human condition here.

War Crimes Committed by Federal Forces During the Civil War

We have all come been taught that Abraham Lincoln was a gentle man, “Honest Abe,” a man who advocated “malice toward none and charity for all.” We have been taught that Lincoln would have opposed the policy pursued by Radical Republicans like Thaddeus Stevens, which pushed for vengeful, retributive policies against the South. We have been taught in books, movies and documentaries that Lincoln instead preferred a policy of healing that neither punished the defeated Confederate government and Army nor average Southern civilians.

Was My Lai just one of many massacres in Vietnam War?

In a war in which lip service was often paid to winning "hearts and minds", the US military had an almost singular focus on one defining measure of success in Vietnam: the body count - the number of enemy killed in action.Very quickly the phrase - "If it's dead and Vietnamese, it's VC" - became a defining dictum of the war and civilian corpses were regularly tallied as slain enemies or Viet Cong.

Civilians, including women and children, were killed for running from soldiers or helicopter gunships that had fired warning shots, or being in a village suspected of sheltering Viet Cong.

At the time, much of this activity went unreported - but not unnoticed.

Decades Of Unconstitutional Wars

Despite United States Congress members insisting that Congress debate and vote on US military actions overseas, congressional leadership has chosen inaction, allowing military actions unilaterally pursued by the executive branch to continue unrestrained.

And, when, this year, consideration has begun to move forward on an authorization for use of military force (AUMF), it is in the form of legislation (S.J.Res. 59) sponsored by Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R-TN) that would rubber-stamp the US government’s existing wars and sweepingly authorize the executive branch to choose to pursue much more additional military action across the world.

A former California startup has accused Mark Zuckerberg of 'weaponizing' user data to earn Facebook billions and force rivals out of business.

The social media company is also accused of allegedly conducting mass surveillance through its apps by gathering information from texts and photos of users and their friends, as well as smartphone microphones.

The allegations are from the lawsuit filed against Facebook by Six4Three - a former California startup that was behind the failed app Pikinis, which allowed users to scan their Facebook friends for bikini photos.

Here’s How The Government Will ‘Calm’ The Public If A Nuclear Attack Occurs - Mac Slavo

The government has already prepared some scripts to use on the terrified public should the United States ever be attacked with a nuclear weapon. The US government prepares for all sorts of threats, but none match the pomp and circumstance they’ll display in the event of a nuclear explosion.

Here’s an example of what the government will tell people to try to prevent widespread panic:

“Lives have been lost, people have been injured, and homes and businesses have been destroyed. All levels of government are coordinating their efforts to do everything possible to help the people affected by this emergency. As lifesaving activities continue, follow the instructions from emergency responders… The instructions are based on the best information we have right now; the instructions will be updated as more information becomes available.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

People need to be prepared for any eventuality, because the Federal Government cannot really protect us, given the reality that the foreign policy decisions being made right now, are engineered to keep this country less safe, and need to take their own precautions.

Compliance to government dictates, should this country manage to get itself into a nuclear exchange, does not necessarily translate into individual survival.

Mattis Tells Air Force Graduates To "Prepare For War"

It was supposed to be a joyous occasion, marking the commencement of a new and better phase in the life of nearly 1000 graduates. Instead, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis told the 984 new lieutenants who are graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy to prepare for the worst: war.

On Wednesday night, Mattis spoke at the graduation ceremony on the campus outside Colorado Springs and told the 2018 graduates they must be ready to fight and win. The Pentagon chief also told the 60th class to graduate from the academy that they must maintain U.S. military superiority in the air, and urged them to make the Air Force better.

As the ceremony ended, the newly commissioned officers threw their white hats into the sky as the Air Force Thunderbirds roared overhead, a longstanding tradition. Of the nearly 1000 graduates, more than 400 are headed to pilot training, and 69 will be trained to operate drones.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mattis' statement, indicates that these graduates cannot prepare for intelligent, nuanced foreign policy decisions which are going to keep this country safe; not prepare for stability on the world stage, because the US government loves creating instability leading to regime change; but the only thing for which they can prepare is perpetual wars, because the US government has lost the ability to resolve its geopolitical differences in any other way!!

"Unplug Your Alexa Devices Right Now... You're Being Hacked"

That was the disturbing message that a Portland family received just weeks after installing the Amazon listening devices throughout their home.

As KIRO7 reports, Danielle, who did not want us to use her last name, contacted Amazon to investigate after they say a private conversation in their home was recorded by Amazon's Alexa, and that the recorded audio was sent to the phone of a random person in Seattle, who was in the family’s contact list.

"My husband and I would joke and say I'd bet these devices are listening to what we're saying," said Danielle.

After receiving the call above from one of her husband's employees - who was in the family’s contact list - Danielle says she unplugged all the devices, and she repeatedly called Amazon. She says an Alexa engineer investigated.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Pompeo’s ‘Plan B’ for Iran is ‘designed to put the US’ on a path to 'forcible regime change'

Two weeks ago, President Trump terminated the United States' participation in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), more commonly known as the Iran nuclear deal," Secretary of State Mike Pompeo started his speech at the Heritage Foundation on Monday.

"President Trump withdrew from the deal for a simple reason," he continued. "It failed to guarantee the safety of the American people from the risks created by the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

Thus Pompeo began a talk grounded more in fantasy than strategy.

He spoke repeatedly of an Iranian "march across the Middle East," painting Tehran as the mastermind of regional instability which poses an active, existential threat to U.S. friends and allies.

The "path forward," as Pompeo described it, is for Iran to submit to onerous new U.S. sanctions and concede to a long list of demands.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This stance gives the US government very little room to maneouver, and where the only moves left, ultimately, lead to a war against Iran.

And as I have pointed out in a previous post today, as a country which has historically pledged to protect Iran from military invasion, just what will Russia's President Putin be willing to do to prevent such an invasion from happening, or how intensely will he be willing to defend it?!?

I would like to hope that this potential Russian military involvement, against the US, Israel, and Saudi Arabia, is at least keeping someone in the bowels of power up at night in DC, Riyadh, and Tel Aviv right now.

Gaza massacre ends American political oath: Israel support is bipartisan

To be in Israel during a historic massacre, as I was on Monday, is a special experience, and one whose meaning will sink in for a while. I wonder what I will remember in five years’ time, or ten.

This is what I can tell you two days later. All that afternoon in the gathering and protests in the hot sun near the new embassy in South Jerusalem, the latest casualty figures were coming over the phones. “Did you hear, there’s a sea of blood at the border,” a friend had called to inform me at 4, and subsequent texts brought the numbers. 25. “37 dead so far. This country is irredeemable,” wrote my friend. It seemed impossible that the number would grow and yet it did. It was over 50 by the time the protests wound down.

Syria Rejects US Demand for Iranian Pullout

One of the 12 demands issued by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was a complete pullout from Syria of all pro-Iranian forces. Iran hasn’t really had a chance to respond, but Syria has already chimed in, rejecting the idea.

Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mikdad said the matter isn’t even up for discussion, noting that the decision “concerns the sovereignty of Syria.” He added Syria’s government is grateful for the help of Iranian military advisers, as well as Russian troops.

Mikdad further faulted the US for its continued intervention in Syria, and its “support of terrorists in Syria and elsewhere.” The US has troops within Syria, but those troops were not invited by the Syrian government.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Syrian Deputy Minister Mikdad is absolutely correct in his assessment; unfortunately, Pompeo and Bolton will use this as their excuse to escalate the US war in Syria, ultimately translating into wars against Russia and Iran.

All Of Chile's Bishops Offer To Resign After Sex Abuse Cover-Up

All 31 active bishops in Chile offered to resign Friday, following a meeting that Pope Francis called to examine the Chilean clergy's failure to protect children from pedophiles.

The bishops started the conference by thanking the pope for his "brotherly correction" and the victims of sexual abuse for their bravery and perseverance in coming forward. Their statement was read aloud to the press in Spanish and Italian.

"We want to ask forgiveness for the pain we caused victims, the pope, the people of God and our country for the grave errors and omissions that we committed," they said.

"We want to announce that all bishops present in Rome, in writing, have placed our positions in the Holy Father's hands so that he may freely decide regarding each one of us."

It was not immediately clear whether the Pope had accepted the bishops' resignations. He could delay, accept or reject their offer, and the bishops will stay in their jobs until he acts.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What never changes is the institutional culture of child abuse here, which is deeply ingrained in Catholic clergy.

The way the church could get this to stop, is only accepting young men for the seminary who are married. I think that would go a long way to curing the problem.

Because if the 21st century Catholic Church cannot get a handle on this, it will, and should, be sued out of existence.

IRAN LISTS 7 CONDITIONS TO REMAIN IN NUCLEAR DEAL

In his first statement since Pompeo's Wednesday speech, Iran's Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei set 7 conditions for the European nations if they want Tehran to remain in the agreement.

Khamenei laid out the full list on Twitter on Trump's favorite social media network, remainder of continued on twitter where in a brief tweetstorm, he unveiled the following demands of Europe:

Over the course of 2 years, US violated #JCPOA, several times, while the Europeans remained silent. These 3 European countries should prove that they won’t be as dishonest & untrustworthy as they were during nuclear talks in 2004-2005. Europe needs to compensate for it:
The US has violated Resolution 2231. Europe must issue a resolution against US’s violation [of it].
Europe must guarantee it will not raise the issue of the Islamic Republic's missiles and regional affairs.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation; Europe will not be allowed to acceed to Iran's demands by the US government, meaning that the Iranians will shortly go back to uranium enrichment, which will then be used as the "justification" for a war against it by the US, Israel, and Saudi Arabia.

But this will not happen until Israel uncorks in Lebanon against Hezbullah, and accomplishes "regime change" there, to achieve a more "Israeli-centric" government in Beirut.

So we have, maybe, a couple of months or more, before that happens, and then, the major world war against Iran happens. Look at the attack against Lebanon to come either right before, or right after, the High Holy days in Israel, Rosh Hashana, and Yom Kippur, which are celebrated in September of this year.

June 1st is already upon us week; So watch for 3 months of intense demonisation of Lebanon; Iran, and Russia in the next three months, leading up to an Israeli first strike on Lebanon.

But the big issue in all of this, with Russia having historically claimed that it will defend Iran should it be attacked militarily, is, when Iran is attacked, what will Russia's Putin actually be willing to do to defend it?!?

And lastly, here is a link to Ynetnews.com, with an article which is more than a little unsettling:

HomeWorld NewsIsraeli airstrike hits boat at Gaza port preparing to meet aid flotilla – locals

An airstrike launched by the Israeli military has hit a boat that was moored in Gaza City. The vessel was preparing to meet other boats that were trying to sail through Israel's naval blockade of Gaza, locals say.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said they hit "military targets belonging to the Hamas terror organization's naval force," as well as "underground terror infrastructure." On its official Twitter account, the IDF said it was done in response to a group of people breaking through the Israel-Gaza border and setting a military post on fire.

Gaza residents cited by Reuters said the boat that was set on fire by the Israeli attack was due to sail to meet a flotilla on its way to Gaza. A number of aid flotillas have attempted to breach the Israeli naval blockade of Gaza in recent years, but the vessels have been stopped, seized or turned back. In the most notorious case in 2010, Israeli commandos killed nine activists on board the Turkish ship Mavi Marmara.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have seen the names of participants in these flotilla runs in times past, and they certainly do not look like the names of Hamas members at all; this flotilla is probably no different in its peace activists, advocating for justice for Gazan Palestinians, and who are, of course, in Israel's definition, are "terrorists" for wanting such peace and justice for the Gazan people.

Mueller Rejects Speedy Trial Law To Delay Russian Collusion Trial

It is the second time Mueller tried to delay the trial. Judge Dabney L. Friedrich, a Trump appointee, rejected the earlier request without comment and ordered the case to go forward. (RELATED: Mueller Wants To Flood Russian Collusion Case With 2 Terabytes Of Russian Social Media Content Without Translation)

One of the Russian companies — Concord Management and Consulting — entered the U.S., hired American lawyers, and demanded a speedy trial. The Speedy Trial Act is a 44-year old federal law that dictates that a federal criminal case must begin within 70 days from the date of the indictment.

The “complexity” of the case warrants excluding the speedy trial law and delaying the trial, Mueller argued in Tuesday’s court filing.

A “district court can, on its own motion or at the request of a party, grant an excludable continuance if ‘the ends of justice served by taking such action outweigh the best interest of the public and the defendant in a speedy trial,'” Mueller wrote.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Trump says US military 'is ready if necessary' after Kim Jong Un summit cancellation

President Donald Trump said Thursday that the U.S. military stands "ready if necessary" following his cancellation of a planned summit with North Korea's Kim Jong Un, ramping up already tense rhetoric exchanged between Washington and Pyongyang.

The president, throwing aside his conciliatory rhetoric, called the meeting's cancellation a "great setback for the world." Touting a "greatly enhanced" American military and the power of U.S. allies, Trump warned Kim against taking "foolish or reckless" action.

"I have spoken to South Korea and Japan and they are not only ready should foolish or reckless acts be taken by North Korea, but they are willing to shoulder much of the cost of any financial burden — any of the costs associated by the United States in operations, if such an unfortunate situation is forced upon us," he said during an event at which he signed a bill rolling back bank regulations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

How completely ironic that the President who brought us "The Art of the Deal" appears to be a man who is pathologically unable to negotiate, at the national level, and keep this country on a peaceful footing around the world.

But I am sure he had help from Bolton and Pompeo, two men who never met a potential war they didn't savor. Pompeo's visit to North Korea, and Bolton's casual reference potentially comparing what happened in Libya to what should happen in North Korea, didn't help matters at all.

So as someone who lives on a first-strike target in the Pacific (China's missiles would decimate these islands), you can color me very nervous all over again.

CANADIANS SUBJECT TO CIA BRAINWASH EXPERIMENTS SEEK DAMAGES

Canadians subjected to CIA brainwashing experiments at McGill University's Allan Memorial Institute are taking legal action against the federal government, demanding a public apology and compensation.

The Survivors Allied Against Government Abuse(SAAGA) group met in Montreal, Canada, on May 20. "The government should offer an apology and there should be recognition of the injustice that was done," said Gina Blasbalg, a patient at the institute in 1960.

Dr. Ewen Cameron, who co-founded the World Psychiatric Association, served as director of the Allan Memorial Institute psychiatric hospital between 1943 and 1964.

Cameron oversaw 'depatterning' and 'psychic driving' experiments which attempted to erase a patient's memories and reprogram them with new thoughts, according to CBC News.

Someone Has Infected At Least 500,000 Routers All Over The World And No One Knows Why

Unknown hackers have reportedly infected at least 500,000 routers and other network devices all over the world with sophisticated and potentially destructive malware—and the Ukrainian government believes Russian hackers may use this botnet in an attack ahead of the Champions League soccer final this week in Kiev.

On Wednesday, Cisco’s subsidiary Talos warned of this new malware campaign, dubbing it “VPNFilter” because that’s the name of the folder where the malware creates and installs itself on the infected devices. Talos researchers wrote that VPNFilter’s most dangerous feature is that it can make the devices it lives on completely unusable thanks to a “kill” command.

“If it suited their goals, this command could be executed on a broad scale, potentially rendering hundreds of thousands of devices unusable, disabling internet access for hundreds of thousands of victims worldwide or in a focused region where it suited the actor's purposes,” the Talos report read.

Webmaster's Commentary:

How convenient; just when Russian/US governmental relations could hardly get any worse, it appears that Russia is going to get accused of a "cyber 9/11" against Ukraine and potentially beyond.

Now is the time to make sure your router is secure, and if you have not changed your default password, do it now.

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL THINKS POLICE HAVING TO FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION LEADS TO VIOLENT CRIME INCREASES

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is an old-school law and order man. He wants asset forfeiture returned to its former glory -- no longer questioned by all and sundry for its ability to enrich law enforcement agencies without making much of a dent in criminal activity. He wants drug sellers jailed for as long as possible, suggesting the last time he read a policy paper was sometime during the mid-1980s. And he thinks people questioning law enforcement efforts should be ashamed of themselves, what with the dangers faced occasionally by officers whose workplace can't even crack the Top 10 Deadliest Jobs in America list.

Sessions goes where he's wanted when he speaks, ensuring he'll receive applause and accolades, rather than a bunch of "wtfs?" when he delivers bullshit like this:

I believe one of my highest duties is to call attention to your successes, and to encourage our fellow citizens to support you in your difficult and dangerous work.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There are many good, fine cops in this country; I know, because my brother was one of them.

But that being said, things in police work need to be done by the book, honestly and legally.

And this country needs to very honestly, and realistically, have a conversation about why crime has expanded in this country, and to me, there are several reasons.

Unskilled, and even skilled labor, is becomming a thing of the past, with jobs offshored and outsourced to the lowest pricepoint of manufacturing. Poverty is a driver of both desperation and crime.

If this country decriminalized drugs, as has Portugal, the profit margin would become cripplingly bad, and we would see far less crime, and far less profits for drug cartels.

Education needs to become education again, not political indoctrination, with teachers both in control, and rewarded for their work, and kids made excited to come back, and learn more the in the next days and months of the school year ahead. Does anyone remember the Edward James Olmos film, "Stand and Deliver"?!? You should find it, and watch it again, to see what excellence in education can really do.

And lastly, the penal system in our country is engineered to fail, and I say this because the recidivism rate in the US is disgraceful. That has to be fixed in such a way, that when criminals have served their time, they have had some education which gives some hope of finding meaningful employment when they leave prison, and will rejoin society in a meaningful way.

We are very fortunate with the police officers on Oahu; they are, generally, very nice, polite people who do their job with strong professionalism.

Unfortunately, you have stories like the following unfolding all over the country, and this is what Attorney General Sessions critically needs to address, if he wants the American public to have more respect for this country's police:

Swat team raids wrong house, nearly kills dad, and injures 6 year old with flash-bang grenades

CIA KNEW TORTURE WAS EXTORTING BAD INTELLIGENCE — KEPT DOING IT ANYWAY

The CIA’s record of torture is front and center in the media again. This time because President Donald Trump’s new CIA Director, Gina Haspel, played a key role in the agency’s program of “enhanced interrogation” (i.e., torture). Haspel was head of station in at least one of the CIA’s black sites in Thailand where torture took place, and also held multiple senior roles at the CIA Counterterrorism Center, which oversaw the torture program.

She was also involved in the destruction of the video recordings of the torture sessions and was less than forthcoming recently with members of Congress who asked about her role in that action.

Nevertheless, the Senate confirmed her. The fact that Haspel, who played a key role in the CIA torture program, made it through the confirmation process fairly easily, signals, at the very least, that the agency should have no problem continuing to shield itself from any outside scrutiny of its treatment of terror suspects in the years after 9/11.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Back during World War II, the Germans had a brilliant interrogator, Hanns Scharff.

The Story of Hanns Scharff

Scharff never indulged in violence of any kind; he used kindness and rewards to gain insight into the British and German prisoners of war he questioned, and frequently brought them out of their prison on day trips for cultural events.

After the war, Scharff was so well thought of, and respected, that the American military invited him to the US to teach his methods to American interrogators.

It is unfortunate that the President and CIA have forgotten (and/or unlearned) that there were other methods, rather than torture, which would give the interrerogator far superior, and actionable, intelligence.

So instead of a Scharff archetype being nominated and confirmed in the position of CIA director, they put a Torquemada archetype in charge instead.

This choice bear ominous witness to what lies ahead for US foreign policy; more and more wars, other than those we cannot seem to be able to win, like Afghanistan and Libya, and ultimately... more torture.

Torture only makes the tortured person say what they believe their torturers want to hear, to get the torture to stop.

And when the US government tortures, or outsources torture, two things happen.

First, the world understands, very clearly, that for all of the political drivel being vomited to the world, about this country's respect for humanitarian values, and the rule of law, when it comes torturing prisoners of war, (which is what these people are), those values and laws get well and truly flushed.

Secondly, when we torture, or outsourcing it, that gives leadership in other countries carte blanche to torture American military members, and American troops.

Please chew on that last one for a while, if you still think torture is a "good idea."

FEDERAL RESERVE: MORE THAN 4 OUT OF 10 AMERICANS DO NOT EVEN HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO COVER AN UNEXPECTED $400 EXPENSE

The U.S. economy is not doing nearly as well as the mainstream media would have you believe. A few days ago I wrote about a new study that discovered that nearly 51 million U.S. households “can’t afford basics like rent and food”, and just yesterday I discussed the fact that we are on pace for the worst year for retail store closings ever. Now we have just gotten new numbers from the Federal Reserve which are absolutely staggering. According to the Fed’s latest study, more than 4 out of every 10 Americans do not even have enough money to cover an unexpected $400 expense without borrowing the funds or selling something. In essence, nearly half the country has no significant financial cushion whatsoever. So what are all of those people going to do when the next economic crisis hits?

Sadly, living on the edge has become a daily reality for tens of millions of Americans. The following is from a CNN article about the Fed’s new report…

Can you cover an unexpected $400 expense?

Webmaster's Commentary:

For far too many Americans, this alleged "economic robustness/recovery" (call it what you will) has not arrived at all, and particularly for hourly salaried people, who are seeing their wages get throttled though inflation and ever-higher taxes.

Mike and I were at a local supermarket yesterday, and I was looking at the fish counter. One particular type of tuna was selling for nearly $27.00 per pound, and all the prices seem to have jumped through the roof.

I do not know how families are making it, unless one of the two partners came from roots where slow cooking of cheaper cuts of meat, to make them very tender, was the way things were done.

The Problems of the new Anti-Semitism Awareness Act

The Anti-Semitism Awareness Act of 2018 has been introduced today in Congress. The bill includes an overly-broad, political definition of anti-Semitism, which includes criticism of the state of Israel. The bill should be opposed because it misappropriates a non-legally binding definition for the basis of legal prohibitions, does not combat anti-Semitism, constitutes viewpoint discrimination, and is unconstitutional as being overly broad.

Italian parents who named their daughter Blu must change it to a 'traditional girl's name' – or have one imposed by the court

Blu's mother Vittoria, who met her partner Luca three years ago, said: 'Since the first day Luca told me he wanted to call his daughter Blu and I chose Blu because It is the colour of the fifth chakra.'

He told Il Giorno: 'If we don't show up with an alternative, a judge will decide our daughter's name for us.'

The bizarre case came about because of a presidential decree that all newborns should have gender appropriate names.

Amazon defends giving its Big Brother-style facial recognition tool to police claiming 'our quality of life would be much worse' without AI watching our movements

Amazon has defended giving its Big Brother-style facial recognition tool to police following an outcry from civil rights groups.

The response comes just hours after it emerged Amazon's facial recognition tool, dubbed 'Rekognition', is being used by law enforcement agencies in Oregon and Florida.

However, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) warns Rekognition could be misused to identify and track innocent people in real-time.

It claims the software guide for the AI 'reads like a user manual for authoritarian surveillance'.

If ‘We the People’ fail .01% arrests for OBVIOUS crimes annually killing millions, harming billions, looting trillions, the US will become just another failed and forgotten empire promising ‘freedom’

*hyperlinks/videos live at source*
“2,000 years from now, will students of ancient history ask, ‘Do we have to know what the United States was for the test?’” ~ paraphrase of Professor Rufus Fears

“It is no use trying to escape their arrogance by submission or good behavior. Robbers of the world, having by universal plunder exhausted the land, their drive is greed. If the enemy be rich, they are rapacious; if poor, they lust for domination. Neither rule of the East nor West can satisfy them. Alone among men, they crave with equal eagerness poverty and riches. To plunder, slaughter, seize with false pretenses, they give the lying name ‘empire.’ And where nothing remains but a desert, they call that ‘peace.’ ” – Tacitus, The Agricola and the Germania (analyses here, here)

The United States is the most dangerous illegal rogue state empire in human history. Among the damning facts:

Dozens of foreign ISIS brides sentenced to death in Iraq

Dozens of foreign ISIS brides are being sentenced to death in Iraq as the country exacts its revenge after three years of jihadi occupation.

Pleading that they themselves are victims, the women were given 10 minutes to beg for their lives before judges decide their sentence.

Many of them find little sympathy with the Iraqi judiciary and locals and are despised for their support of their militant husbands, who tore the country apart between 2014 and 2017.

French citizen Djamila Boutoutao, 29, appeared in court last month and claimed: “I thought I had married a rapper. It was only when we arrived in Turkey for a week-long ‘holiday’ that I discovered my husband was a jihadist.”

“I’m a victim. My husband beat me and locked me up in a cave with my children when I refused to follow him (to Iraq).”

She reappeared in court again last week alongside 14 other women, The Guardian reported, where she begged to keep her daughter.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These women, and most probably their children, will be murdered by the Iraqi government, demonstrating that the Muqtada coalition is just as barbaric and midieval regarding issues pertaining to women, as were their predecessors.

They were, in many cases, victims of men who played and betrayed them, not revealing their jihadi affiliations until after they had been married to these guys.

And hey, Amal Clooney; we know where you and your husband were last weekend, attending the royal wedding of the Duke and Dutchess of Sussex; where the hell are you now, in a human rights case, that is screaming your name?!?

the short answer is, NOWHERE.

The US is running out of bombs — and it may soon struggle to make more

The Pentagon plans to invest more than $20 billion in munitions in its next budget. But whether the industrial base will be there to support such massive buys in the future is up in the air — at a time when America is expending munitions at increasingly intense rates.

The annual Industrial Capabilities report, put out by the Pentagon’s Office of Manufacturing and Industrial Base Policy, has concluded that the industrial base of the munitions sector is particularly strained, something the report blames on the start-and-stop nature of munitions procurement over the last 20 years, as well as the lack of new designs being internally developed.

Some suppliers have dropped out entirely, leaving no option for replacing vital materials. Other key suppliers are foreign-owned, with no indigenous capability to produce vital parts and materials ? setting up the risk that a conflict with China could rely on Chinese-made parts.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This story is deliciously ironic; how is it the the Unhinged, Surveilled State of WarMerica could possibly run out of munitions?!?

The answer is simple; this country is engaged in far more wars than it can effectively, and practically win, as opposed to trying to resolve its geopolitical differences with moral, hard-won negotations.

So of course, the Pentagon's, and Federal Government's answer here is, more bombs, dammit!!

China Celebrates Social Credit System Blocking People from over 11 Million Flights

China’s state-run Global Times newspaper reported on Monday that over 11.14 million instances of individuals not being able to board flights – and 4.25 million similar incidents on trains – had occurred “by the end of April.”
Since the same person could attempt to board a flight or train and have officials deny them more than once, it is likely that the number of individuals banned from traveling is slightly lower than the number of instances in which the government has blocked travel.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Watch for such a system to be instituted in the US, in the very near future; and for some people who are late on paying taxes, such draconian steps are already in place here:

Another Travel Ban: IRS Moves to revoke Passports for Unpaid Taxes
The article goes on to state:

"Now, over a year later, the IRS has finally released new details on its website. If you have seriously delinquent tax debt, IRS can notify the State Department. The State Department generally will not issue or renew a passport after receiving certification from the IRS. The IRS has not yet started certifying tax debt to the State Department. The IRS says certifications will begin in early 2017, and the IRS website will be updated to indicate when this process has been implemented."

Caputo says Mueller team didn't seem to care about alleged informants in Trump campaign

Former Trump campaign adviser Michael Caputo opened up to Fox News about alleged informants who approached him during the 2016 presidential election, and revealed that special investigators didn’t seem to care at all.

“I gave this information to the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, and I gave this information to the Mueller team. They never reached out to the intermediary to check on it,” he told Neil Cavuto Tuesday on “Your World.” “They didn't even seem to be taking notes.”

Caputo said he was approached in early May 2016 by an intermediary “who had been talking to a government official” looking to connect with the Trump campaign -- purportedly to hand off Hillary Clinton-related emails.

Caputo noted both were amazed to be contacted from a government organization, which he didn’t name.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The degree to which Meuller - and the FBI - have been politicized, is an absolute shame, and an abomination.

Both Meuller, and the FBI, should be completely sacked for this political corruption, and the appointment of impartial non-partisan individuals to the FBI needs to begin immediately.

‘First step’: House passes prison reform bill uniting (some) Democrats and Trump

The US House of Representatives overwhelmingly backed the First Step Act, which would allow more inmates to earn an early release from federal prisons and end practices such as shackling female prisoners during childbirth.

The bill, House Resolution 5682, was approved on Tuesday evening by a vote of 360 in favor and 59 opposed. Co-sponsored by Representatives Doug Collins (R-Georgia) and Hakeem Jeffries (D-New York), the bill managed to unite President Donald Trump and some of his critics among the Democrats.

Under the law, federal inmates would be able to earn up to 54 days per year in “good time credits” towards an early release, up from the previous cap of 47. This would apply retroactively, meaning that around 4,000 inmates could be released immediately once it is signed into law, according to Axios.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It sounds like a decent first step; unfortunately, prisons in this country are deliberately engineered to fail, and that is borne out by the horrifically high recidivism rates we see in the Unhinged, Surveilled State of WarMerica.

There are countries, particularly in Scandanavia, which don't have anywhere near the recidivism rates we do here.

And why?!?

They treat prisoners as though they were human beings.

I have kind of a hug/punch relationship with the work of Michael Moore, but I must tell you that his "Where to Invade Next", was nothing short of sheer genius. One of the places he filmed, was a Swedish prison, where you saw the incarcerated treated with respect, because the goal of Swedish prisons is rehabilitation, and reintegration with society at large.

US recidivism rate is around 50%.

US recidivism rates

Sweden's is under 40%, because of its commitment to rehabilitation, rather than punishment per se.

Sweden has done for its prisoners what the US government won't

One would think that the US might want to take a clue from prison systems which are working far better than its own does; of course, that... would be logical.

Rudy Giuliani won deal for OxyContin maker to continue sales of drug behind opioid deaths

The US government missed the opportunity to curb sales of the drug that kickstarted the opioid epidemic when it secured the only criminal conviction against the maker of OxyContin a decade ago.

Purdue Pharma hired Rudolph Giuliani, the former New York mayor and now Donald Trump’s lawyer, to head off a federal investigation in the mid-2000s into the company’s marketing of the powerful prescription painkiller at the centre of an epidemic estimated to have claimed at least 300,000 lives.

While Giuliani was not able to prevent the criminal conviction over Purdue’s fraudulent claims for OxyContin’s safety and effectiveness, he was able to reach a deal to avoid a bar on Purdue doing business with the federal government which would have killed a large part of the multibillion-dollar market for the drug.

The former New York mayor also secured an agreement that greatly restricted further prosecution of the pharmaceutical company and kept its senior executives out of prison.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why is it, that people who are at the top of US society, no matter what party they represent, are such pieces of non-biodegradable pond scum, in terms of their ultimate effects on society?!?

AMAZON PUSHES FACIAL RECOGNITION TO POLICE, PROMPTING OUTCRY OVER SURVEILLANCE...

Amazon's decision to market a powerful face recognition tool to police is alarming privacy advocates, who say the tech giant's reach could vastly accelerate a dystopian future in which camera-equipped officers can identify and track people in real time, whether they're involved in crimes or not.

It's not clear how many law enforcement agencies have purchased the tool, called Rekognition, since its launch in late 2016 or since its update last fall, when Amazon added capabilities that allow it to identify people in videos and follow their movements almost instantly.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office in Oregon has used it to quickly compare unidentified suspects in surveillance images to a database of more than 300,000 booking photos from the county jail — a common use of such technology around the country — while the Orlando Police Department in Florida is testing whether it can be used to single out persons-of-interest in public spaces and alert officers to their presence.

The horrific possibilities outlined in the film "Minority Reporty" are, apparently, already with us, courtesy of Amazon.

VENEZUELA'S MADURO REJECTS TRUMP'S SANCTIONS, EXPELS TOP US DIPLOMAT

A day after being re-"elected", Venezuela's Maduro spoke on State TV rejecting U.S. sanctions - which "offend national dignity" - and expelling the top US diplomat from Caracas due to "conspiratorial behavior" against the government.

Tensions have mounted mount between the two countries following Maduro's victory in disputed presidential elections on Sunday. The White House has branded the election a "sham," and Maduro claims he "earned every vote and fought to win."

“How many times have they underestimated me?” Maduro, 55, called out to crowd of supporters outside the Miraflores presidential palace in Caracas.

“You have believed in me, and I’m going to respond to this infinite confidence, this lovely confidence.”

“They say you were forced to vote, that you were coerced into voting -- it’s an insult to the people!"

Webmaster's Commentary:

Was the Venezuelan vote tampered with?!? Most probably. But the same kind of shenanigans happen in the Unhinged, Surveilled State of WarMerica on a consistent basis.

Ask Debbie Wasserman Schultz about how she insured that Bernie Sanders was robbed of the Democratic nomination for President, if you don't believe me.

I very strong regret that Maduro has thrown out Naranjo and Robinson, the American diplomats on the ground here.

This will, in turn, set the stage for a US-backed "color revolution", to bring Maduro down, and have installed a more US-centric puppet, eager to make sure that Venezuelan oil, which is documented as being one of the largest oil reserves on the planet... is only sold in US dollars.

WHERE THE DEBT SLAVES ARE THE MOST VULNERABLE

This type of chart is trotted out constantly these days to show that American households are in fabulous shape when it comes to their ability to service their blistering record debts. The red line in the chart shows household debt-service payments (combined monthly payments on mortgages, credit cards, auto loans, and student loans) as a percent of disposable (after-tax) income. Since 1980, the ratio has ranged from 9.9% to 13.2%. It hit that top in Q4 2007 just before it all came apart. Ten years later, it was at 10.3%. Hence the conclusion that households won’t have any trouble servicing their record debts. In a moment, we’ll get to the trap in this conclusion.

It all looks good, in terms of the debt burden. And so the red line in the chart above is trotted out to show that the American consumer – this unified, amorphous, monolithic structure whose job it is to hold up the entire global economy – is strong and won’t buckle.

NETANYAHU ORDERS CABINET MEET IN SECRET UNDERGROUND BUNKER, FEARS LEAKS ON SYRIA AND IRAN

In yet another sign that broader war between Israel, Syria, and Iran may be on the horizon Israel’s Channel 10 has revealed in an exclusive broadcast that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently ordered all national security cabinet meetings to be held in a secure underground bunker in Jerusalem.

The National Security Cabinet (NSC), also known as the “inner cabinet,” is akin to the US National Security Council and convenes regularly under the authority of the prime minister in the Prime Minister’s building in Jerusalem. However, according to Channel 10’s Barak Ravid, who broke the story, Netanyahu made the decision out of fear of leaks related to “sensitive discussions on Syria and Iran.”

The underground secure Jerusalem bunker normally hosts the National Crisis Management Center, responsible for emergency planning and response during times of war or national crises.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder if the location of these meetings have been moved due to Netanyahu's determination to wage war against all three of these countries, with US military assistance, and quickly.

Public opinion in the US does not augur well for Israel doing this, so Netanyahu may well feel that Israel must move swiftly, to avoid a groundswell of US popular resistance to such actions.

LANDMARK LAWSUIT CLAIMS MONSANTO HID CANCER DANGER OF WEEDKILLER FOR DECADES

At the age of 46, DeWayne Johnson is not ready to die. But with cancer spread through most of his body, doctors say he probably has just months to live. Now Johnson, a husband and father of three in California, hopes to survive long enough to make Monsanto take the blame for his fate.

On 18 June, Johnson will become the first person to take to trial on allegations that it has spent decades hiding the cancer-causing dangers of its popular Roundup herbicide products – and his case has just received a major boost.

Last week Judge Curtis Karnow issued an order clearing the way for jurors to consider not just scientific evidence related to what caused Johnson’s cancer, but allegations that Monsanto suppressed evidence of the risks of its weed killing products. Karnow ruled that the trial will proceed and a jury would be allowed to consider possible punitive damages.

Monsanto says its pesticides are safe. Now, a court wants to see the proof

Webmaster's Commentary:

U.S. warns citizens in China after 'abnormal' sound injures consulate worker

An American citizen working at the U.S. consulate in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou has reported suffering from “abnormal” sounds and pressure leading to a mild brain injury, the U.S. embassy said on Wednesday.

The embassy, which issued a health alert to Americans living in China, said it could not link the case to health issues suffered by U.S. government staff in Cuba dating back to late 2016.

However, later on Wednesday, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told lawmakers that the “sonic attack” in China was “medically similar” to the incidents in Cuba.

The unnamed American citizen assigned to the consulate in Guangzhou had reported a variety of “physical symptoms” dating from late 2017 to April this year, the U.S. embassy in Beijing said in an email.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What is interesting here, both in the case of China and Cuba, is that citizens of other countries do not seem to have been affected, as no people from other origins, other than Americans, have suffered from this; the question to be asked here, is why, and why is it that only Americans, seem to be affected by these symptoms?!?

At the end dismissed by mainstream commentators as “conspiracy theory,” the Deep State is an invisible second government which acts in a coordinated manner to protect its prerogatives and advance its interests and favored policies versus changes supposedly demanded by “the people” via their elected representatives in Congress and the presidency. The premier example of this view is the claim that John F. Kennedy was assassinated by the CIA and the military industrial complex because (in one version) he was about to get the US out of Vietnam.

BlogviewPatrick Cockburn Archive Uncritical Support from the US Will Do Israel More Damage Than Good

The Palestinian issue is back on the international agenda more than at any time over the last 15 years. If the move of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem was intended to demonstrate that the Palestinians were powerless and there was nothing they could do about it, then it has failed.

The embassy move, signalling that the US has abandoned even its previous modest restraint on Israeli actions, had exactly the opposite effect to the one intended. The protesting Palestinians and not the celebrating Israelis and Americans became the central feature of the event. Television split screens showed what looked like a Trump campaign rally in Jerusalem side by side with Israeli soldiers shooting dead 62 Palestinians and wounding a further 1,360 in Gaza.

Israeli claims that they were defending the fence that surrounds Gaza from an attack by Hamas activists armed with stones and kites were contradicted both by the television pictures and the lack of any Israeli casualties.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Patrick Cockburn, whose work I greatly respect, misses one critical point in his equation; the Trump Presidency has absolutely outsourced his Middle East policy to Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu, and that creates an horrific danger for this country, the Middle East in general, and the world.

Please understand; Israel wants to see Lebanon, Syria, and Iran "neutralized, and to see regime change in all countries to create governments which are more Israel-centric. He also wants to see Hamas fail spectacularly in Gaza, and is doing everything within his power to accomplish that goal.

However, the caveat I would share here, is that he only wants this done at the costs of American blood and American money.

And then, there is the 6,000 lb gorilla, snoozing on the Bosendorfer grand, in the living room in the situations in Syria and Iran; that is the presence of Russia, which has pledged to prevent both the regimes in both countries from falling, if they are attacked militarily.

Tel Aviv would love nothing better than creating the climate for "Let Russia and the US fight it out in Syria and Iran." And what happens if such a war is a Pyrrhic victory for both sides?!?

Israel is then in position to control all the region's oil, and in what currency that oil will be sold.

Do not be deceived here; in terms of nation-to-nation "friendship", Israel is a true "frenemy", ready to instantly turn away, when the dead host, WarMerica, can no longer support its hubristic warmongering in the region.

And this is followed by a companion article, also from antiwar.com, which is more than a little eye-opening on the topic of the US government "never being able to do enough for Israel":

Israeli MPs Push Trump to Let Them Use Military Aid on Non-US Equipment

The article goes on to state:

"The $38 billion aid package is to be spent on US-made equipment. This has been a common way to make foreign aid politically safe, as it means that money is ultimately going to US arms makers who have a lot of influence.

Israeli officials, however, see this US armament as a problem for their economy. The Israeli Knesset Finance Committee is estimating that 22,000 Israeli jobs would be lost if the US doesn’t just send Israel the money straightaway and let them spending on Israeli-made arms."

Washington’s Pax Americana Cartel

In 2016, Donald Trump distinguished himself from his chief Republican opponents and certainly from Hillary Clinton by saying out loud what many ordinary Americans already suspected: that in terms of immediate threats, it’s not some faraway axis of evil that we need to worry about so much as pervasive stupidity among the managers of Pax America in Washington. In memorable fashion, Trump vowed to “drain the swamp” and to formulate an “America First” approach to policy. If elected, Trump would end the reckless squandering of American power. So, at least, he said.

Haspel Is Not the Problem. The CIA Is the Problem.

As a general rule, when Dick Cheney favors a foreign policy position it’s best to be on the opposite side if you value liberty over war and authoritarianism. The former vice president’s enthusiastic endorsement of not only Gina Haspel as CIA director but of the torture program she oversaw should tell us all we need to know about Haspel.

Saying that Haspel would make a great CIA director, Cheney dismissed concerns over the CIA’s torture program. Asked in a television interview last week about the program, Cheney said, “if it were my call, I’d do it again.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately, Dr. Paul, this is precisely what we have become as a country; a country with no concern for human rights, either domestic or foreign; where the quietly corrupt, as is former President Barak Obama, who has been unmasked as having ordered spying on the Trump campaign, gets brilliantly financially rewarded; and where the agendas of the military/industrial complex and the medical/industrial complex must be obeyed, and anyone with peaceful, alternative views will get either literally, or, professionally, assassinated.

I understand this very completely, as that last criminal act, is what happened to my sweetheart Michael, when he asked a very logical question concerning the very strange death of Vincent Foster, during the Clinton years.

You might remember: the image the Clinton White House put out of Foster's body, was as far as humanly possible from what the real damage by this kind of alleged "suicide" would have caused.
The Death Of Vincent Foster: Vincent Foster's wounds were not as reported!

May 22 11:35

The Day of Shame

For me, the moving of the US embassy means nothing. It is a symbolic act that does not change reality. If and when peace does come, no one will care about some stupid act of a half-forgotten US president. Inshallah.

So there they were, this bunch of self-important nobodies, Israelis, Americans and those in-between, having their little festival, while rivers of blood were flowing in Gaza. Human beings were killed by the dozen and wounded by the thousand.

The ceremony started as a cynical meeting, which quickly became grotesque, and ended in being sinister. Nero fiddling while Rome was burning.

When the last hug was exchanged and the last compliment paid (especially to the graceful Ivanka), Gaza remained what it was – a huge concentration camp with severely overcrowded hospitals, lacking medicines and food, drinkable water and electricity.

South Koreans See John Bolton as an Obstacle to Trump-Kim Summit

While President Trump’s reaction to “hiccups” in diplomacy ahead of the North Korea summit is to threaten Kim, South Korean officials say they see the real problem as John Bolton. MP Chung Dong-young referred to Bolton as one of “several land mines” that are in the way of the summit.

South Korea’s current pro-diplomacy government has a lot of familiar faces to their last such government, which was in power when Bolton was a hawkish ambassador. South Korean analysts saw Bolton’s hawkish stance on North Korea before as a problem, and say he hasn’t changed.

When Bolton’s talk of the “Libya model” in North Korea immediately provoked fury from the North Korean government, US officials didn’t seem to understand why. South Korean officials say the “Libya model” was an obvious red light to North Korea.

Indeed, it’s a blunder to the point where officials suggest that Bolton is deliberately interfering in the peace process, and trying to botch it in doing so.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Bolton is one of the most war-centric people around this President, and that is a real problem for any kind of peace to have a chance to happen between the two Koreas.

He will try to do his utmost to scuttle the meeting between Trump and Kim Jung Un, and he, and his cohorts, do have a rather wide assortment of tactics they can deploy in their diplomatic, and military, arsenals, to prevent this from happening.

Pentagon Threatens More Aggressive Stance Toward Iran

Following up on Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s bellicose threats toward Iran, Pentagon officials suggested that moving against Iran would require a “whole government solution.” They pointed toward the Pentagon being more aggressive toward Iran in the future.

While officials were not specific about what the Pentagon would or even might do, they condemned Iran’s “malign influence” in the region. Some talked up freedom of navigation operations, which has long been a favored way for the US Navy to pick fights or escalate tensions with rivals.

Purely theoretically, the freedom of navigation exercise is just meant to prove that ships can safely transit certain waters. Though Iran has never impeded anyone’s ships passing around their sphere of influence, the US Navy has favored parking ships along Iran’s maritime borders, and occasionally hugging that border.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What alleged "malign influence" is the Pentagon talking about here, regarding Iran, please?!?

Just because Iranian advisors were not going to allow Syria to go down in flames, courtesy of a US/NATO cabal, supporting rebels in taking control of Damascus' government, and throwing Al Assad out, is this the reason for the Pentagon's ire against it?!?

Someone... has some 'spaining to do, as to the actual, and specific, activities Iran has really done, then honestly document them, if they think for one moment that they can lead the American people to a mindset of wanting war against the Iranians, who have done nothing negative, or wrong, to the people of the US. The people of this country are both war-weary, and war-skeptical, and more wars will be a lose for any candidate who supports more wars, before mid-term elections here in the US.

As ADHD Diagnoses Increased, So Did Calls to Poison Control

A NEW STUDY IS SOUNDING the alarm about misuse of medication for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

There were 156,365 calls to poison control centers for people under 20 who were improperly exposed to ADHD medication from 2000 through 2014, according to the study published in the journal Pediatrics. The number of calls surged between 2000 and 2011 before declining slightly between 2011 and 2014.

Overall, call volume increased by 60 percent over the period, says the study's senior author, Gary Smith.

"As the diagnoses and treatment with medication of ADHD have increased in the U.S., these exposures have also increased, which means we really do need to pay more attention … and for different age groups, come up with different strategies to prevent them," says Smith, director of the Center for Injury Research and Policy at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The following is a reality which needs to be checked out by all parents who love their kids very much:

The Man who Discovered ADHD makes a Startling Deathbed Confession

The article goes on to state:

"“ADHD is a prime example of a fictitious disease.” These were the words of Leon Eisenberg, the “scientific father of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder),” in his last interview he gave before his death at age 87 in 2009.

(While some have described Dr. Eisenberg’s statement as an “exaggeration,” many doctors are coming to the belated conclusion that ADHD is often “over diagnosed” by the use of “fuzzy diagnostic practices.” Harvard psychologist Jerome Kagan, who is one of the world’s leading experts in child development, states:

“Let’s go back 50 years. We have a 7-year-old child who is bored in school and disrupts classes. Back then, he was called lazy. Today, he is said to suffer from ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). . . . Every child who’s not doing well in school is sent to see a pediatrician, and the pediatrician says: “It’s ADHD; here’s Ritalin.” In fact, 90 percent of these 5.4 million kids don’t have an abnormal dopamine metabolism. The problem is, if a drug is available to doctors, they’ll make the corresponding diagnosis.)

Eisenberg made a luxurious living off of his “fictitious disease,” thanks to pharmaceutical sales.

Please remember: Doctors in the US are frequently compensated by drug companies manufacturing drugs, like ADHD drugs, for prescribing them to their patients.

So the next time you're taking Little Johnny to his pediatrician, as his teacher has told you that he has a really hard time focusing and staying still, ask that doc, and look them right in the eye when you ask this, if he or she is getting compensated by the drug company whose prescription he is going to prescribe for your child's alleged ADHD.

Every parent in this country should be asking that question of their own, and their kid's doctor; full disclosure, in both directions, is reasonable here.

Russian Airbase In Syria Attacked By Drones Of "Unknown Origin"

Did the Russians just repel another al-Qaeda mass drone attack, similar to the one in January of this year?

Though details are still unclear, Damascus-based journalist Danny Makki reports that numerous drones have been downed by Russian air-defenses near Khmeimim airbase (or alternately Hmeimim airbase). In the nearby coastal city of Jableh loud aerial explosions could be heard sometime before 11pm local time — thought to be Russian missile defense systems engaging the drones.

The Russian Defense Ministry quickly acknowledged the attack, telling RT News that "An unmanned aircraft of unknown origin has been shot down near the Russian Khmeimim airbase in Syria." White House: Justice Department to investigate FBI’s Russia probe

President Trump and top intelligence and law enforcement officials reached an uneasy compromise on Monday, following another weekend of blistering attacks from the President aimed at his own Justice Department.

Following the hour-long meeting, the White House confirmed that the agency’s internal watchdog will review the FBI’s use of an informant in the early days of its probe into Trump’s campaign and that White House Chief of Staff John Kelly will review classified information about the informant sought by Republican lawmakers.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The wheels may just be coming off the train of Obama/Clinton corruption.

TRUMP ADMINISTRATION SETS ITS SIGHTS ON DISMANTLING TEENAGE LABOR LAWS

You’ve heard the phrase “burdensome regulations” ad nauseum for probably your entire adult life. But one branch of regulation that’s definitely not burdensome, nor optional, is the branch that protects minors from dangerous workplace conditions.

At the present time, America’s Hazardous Occupations Orders, or HOs, prohibit employers from tasking teenagers under the age of 18 with the operation of chainsaws and a host of other powered equipment; working at height, including on rooftops; and a broad variety of other manifestly hazardous types of manual labor, for more than one supervised hour per day.

But the Department of Labor intends to introduce a proposal that would remove the restrictions we’ve just described. Their mission, literally, is to “safely launch more family-sustaining careers by removing current regulatory restrictions on the amount of time that apprentices and student learners may perform HO-governed work,” reads the official DOL statement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And how, precisely, does this writer expect such a "federal jobs guarantee program" supposed to work, please?!?

FORMER OBAMA CIA DIRECTOR JOHN BRENNAN FREAKS OUT OVER POTUS TRUMP’S DEMAND DOJ INVESTIGATE ILLEGAL OBAMA-ERA POLITICAL SPYING

WEEKS EARLIER D.C. WHISPERS SHARED WITH READERS INFORMATION THAT INDICATED JOHN BRENNAN’S NAME WAS SOON TO BE FRONT AND CENTER IN THE DEEP STATE’S MANUFACTURED TRUMP INVESTIGATION FIASCO.
THAT TIME HAS ARRIVED IN THE FORM OF A FULL-ON FREAKOUT BY THE FORMER CIA DIRECTOR WHO WENT SO FAR AS TO THREATEN HOUSE SPEAKER PAUL RYAN AND SENATE MAJORITY LEADER MITCH MCCONNELL IF THEY DON’T DO SOMETHING TO STOP PRESIDENT TRUMP.
It is a bizarre public post with clear threatening implications on the D.C. Establishment that has a man who likely holds many dark secrets on many powerful figures that if they don’t protect him from President Trump there will be hell to pay.

It also goes beyond Brennan. His public desperation to get the Trump administration to back off from investigating 2016 Election wrongdoing by the Deep State is likely due to immense pressure from the Obama Machine to protect the former president at all cost.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It's too late to stop this train.

President Obama will ultimately be proven, and outed, as one of the most quietly corrupt Presidents ever sitting in that Oval Office, and there is utterly nothing Brennan can do at this point, except to flee to a country which has no extradition arrangement with the US.

I would suggest that some of his aides start a very descreet search in this area; because trust me, he just may well need this information, and quickly.

"IT'S RIDICULOUS" - PARENTS FURIOUS AS AUSTRALIA SEEKS TO BAN USE OF "BOY" OR "GIRL" IN BOOKS

"For goodness sake, this is social engineering gone crazy...

Leave kids alone to be kids. Stop trying to destroy kids’ childhoods..."

That is an example of the furious reaction from parents in Victoria, Australia where the local city council has announced plans to audit children’s books and toys with a plan to ban them from kindergartens, schools and libraries if they don’t meet strict gender guidelines.

The Herald Sun reports that the local government's justice warriors were inspired by research from the Australian National University that showed children were influenced by gender stereotyping, and urged a ban on the terms 'boy' and 'girl'.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is utter hogwash, but I understand why Australia is going this way, and for the followng reason:

Teen hormoes being altered by gender-bending chemicals
But this isn't just happening in the UK; it is happening all over the planet.

The Australian government can't fix this, so it is attempting to normalize what they cannot repair in the state of their drinking water.

The next step coming, of course, will be a "Farenheit 451" moment for the Australian people, when banned books will be physically destroyed.

VERIZON BEGINS 'TESTING' DSL USAGE CAPS IT REFUSES TO CALL USAGE CAPS

For years now broadband providers have used a lack of competition to impose all manner of obnoxious additional fees on the backs of broadband consumers. That includes arbitrary and obnoxious usage caps and overage charges, which not only raise rates on captive customers, but quite intentionally make using streaming video competitors more expensive and cumbersome. Once caps are in place, large ISPs often exempt their own content from usage caps while still penalizing streaming competitors (aka zero rating).

ISPs used to claim that such limits were necessary to manage network congestion, but as that argument was increasingly debunked (caps don't actually help manage congestion) they've shifted their justifications to more flimsy alternatives. These days, ISPs usually offer no justification at all, or issue vague declarations that they're simply trying to help users "better understand their consumption habits."

Webmaster's Commentary:

With these kinds of usage fees being places on internet services, consumers need to fight back, but that is difficult when a company has a monopoly in specific areas, and there are no other services from which to chose.

AN ISRAEL-IRAN WAR IS UNLIKELY TO HAPPEN ANY TIME SOON

Writing in the Asia Times earlier this month, David P. Goldman lamented that an Israel-Iran war is unlikely to take place any time soon. His observation appears surprising considering the mainstream media has been hyping up the idea of such a war over the past few months.

Nevertheless, he is correct. Short of something catastrophic that completely upsets the current status quo, there are many signs that Israel and Iran are not headed for a direct confrontation in the immediate future. Though the mainstream media dishonestly advertises such a war, the truth is that Israel’s next war will not take place in Iran — or even Syria for that matter. It is far more likely to take place in Lebanon.

As Goldman explained:

Webmaster's Commentary:

First, why in the name of heaven, is this man "lamenting" that it doesn't look like there will be war between Israel and Iran in the near term, but a war against Hezbullah in Lebanon is close to a dead moral certainty?!?

For intelligent people, any war is to be avoided if there is any other way to resolve geopolitical differences.

Apparently, when it comes to David Goldman's thinking, all wars bringing Israel closer to acheiving the "Erez Israel" model, should be pursued, and immediately.

Sweden distributes 'be prepared for war' leaflet to all 4.8m homes

The Swedish government has begun sending all 4.8m of the country’s households a public information leaflet telling the population, for the first time in more than half a century, what to do in the event of a war.

Om krisen eller kriget kommer (If crisis or war comes) explains how people can secure basic needs such as food, water and heat, what warning signals mean, where to find bomb shelters and how to contribute to Sweden’s “total defence”.

The 20-page pamphlet, illustrated with pictures of sirens, warplanes and families fleeing their homes, also prepares the population for dangers such as cyber and terror attacks and climate change, and includes a page on identifying fake news.

The publication comes as the debate on security – and the possibility of joining Nato – has intensified in Sweden in the wake of Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014 and recent incursions into Swedish airspace and territorial waters by Russian planes and submarines.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The question I need to ask here is, why now?!?

You have to love the irony of this story, written by John Henley, as the Swedish officials talk about how to spot fake news, then in a couple of paragraphs down, Henley makes the false claim that Russia "annexed" Crimea, which never happened.

In 2014, after the coup threw the duly elected Ukrainian President Yanukovich under the proverbial bus, and replaced him with Poroshenko, Crimean officials realized that there was no true rule of law in Ukraine at that point.

What they did was a two-step referendum, first asking their people if they wanted to stay with Ukraine of leave it (the people voted overwhelmingly to leave, due to Ukraine's massive corruption), and secondly, petition the Russian Federation to join it, and Russia accepted that petition. These are the facts on the ground which cannot be erased, period, end of discussion.

And John, for having included that codswallop "bit" about Russia having annexed Crimea, because that is the American And European narrative, and you have been given your "marching orders" not to stray from it, even though you know it never happened, shame on you, sir.

DUMA PASSES BILL ON COUNTER-SANCTIONS, GIVES RUSSIAN GOVT POWER TO IMPOSE RESTRICTIONS

The Russian State Duma has passed a bill aimed at defending "economic interests and security" in response to the latest sanctions introduced by the United States and its allies.
The motion was drafted by State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin and the heads of all four parliamentary caucuses in mid-April, days after the US Treasury Department released a list of 24 Russian citizens and 14 Russian corporations that fall under new sanctions imposed over Russia’s foreign policy.

“The main objective of this federal law is to defend the economic interests and security of the Russian Federation, its territorial integrity and the rights and freedoms of its citizens, from unfriendly actions of the USA and other foreign states that impose political or economic sanctions against the Russian Federation, its citizens and companies or any other activities aimed at destabilizing Russia’s politics or economy,” reads the freshly approved bill.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And so, the escalation continues, essentially due to the US government punishing Russia for things it has not done, like allegedly annexing Crimea, which never actually happened.

I hate the way trade wars can escalate into shooting wars, which the Presidents of both countries claim that they do not want, but right now, it looks like a question of when, rather than if, we are looking at a military confrontation between the two.

I cannot tell you if we are looking at that confrontation in Syria; Iran; Dombass/Ukraine, or elsewhere; but I can feel it coming, and with a certain, particular dark aura of ...inevitability.

WATCH: BORDER PATROL AGENT IN MONTANA DETAINS TWO US CITIZENS BECAUSE THEY SPOKE SPANISH

Last week, near the US border with Canada, an incident took place at a convenience store gas station in the small town of Havre, Montana that has garnered national attention, thanks to a video posted to social media.

Ana Suda and Mimi Hernandez ran what should have been a quick late night errand to buy milk and eggs, as many Americans have. After getting in line, the errand took a turn for the worse. The American Civil Liberties Union is now looking into the incident that transpired.

Suda and Hernandez, who are both fluent Spanish speakers as well as U.S. citizens, unsurprisingly and legally conversed with each other in Spanish while waiting in line. Their exchange of words caught the ears of a nearby uniformed Border Patrol agent who interrupted and eventually detained the women.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Having a second language in this country is always a blessing, and keeps the brain sharp.

But the agent should apologise to these women; having a 2nd language should never be construed as a crime, particularly when they have shown their ID, which has been shown to be legitimate.

THIS IS THE 'DEPRESSING' CHART MARK ZUCKERBERG DOES NOT WANT YOU TO SEE

Almost a year ago, we wrote about how post-Millennials are safer, physically, than adolescents have ever been , but they’re on the brink of a mental-health crisis.

There is compelling evidence that the devices we’ve placed in young people’s hands are having profound effects on their lives - and making them seriously unhappy.

In the period since, various former Facebook founders and Silicon Valley sicophants have had their 'come to Jesus' moments, recognizing and accepting that what they have created is indeed changing behaviors... and not for the better.

Mustapha Itani, via Medium.com, explained that several months ago, one of the early pioneers of Facebook and its first President Sean Parker, voiced his regret regarding helping create social media in the form we know it today, saying:

DIGITAL TIME-TRACKING SYSTEMS ARE DRAINING WORKER PAY

The days of the soul-sucking manual punch clock are over. Digital systems now use things like facial recognition to monitor when a worker arrives and has finished for the day. Combined with certain legal ambiguities, the software that’s replaced the 19th century technology is helping some employers chisel away at workers’ hourly pay.

This so-called wage theft is a problem for many healthcare workers, drivers, and food-service and factory employees, according to a study by Elizabeth Tippett, associate professor at the University of Oregon School of Law, published in the American Business Law Journal. An earlier report from the Economic Policy Institute found that wage theft in the U.S. may account for more than $15 billion each year.

How digital wage theft works

Tippett’s study of 330 cases litigated in state and federal courts found three main types of digital wage theft:

Investigators Admit Victims in Texas Shooting Could’ve Been Killed by Police Fire

But it’s unclear whether all the victims were shot by the suspect, or whether some were shot by deputies during the crossfire. Trochesset said authorities are waiting for the medical examiner’s autopsies to make that determination.

A “decent amount of cameras in the school” will help investigators piece together a timeline, Trochesset said.

The idea that police may have killed some of the victims is chilling.

Harvard To Give Hillary Medal For "Transformative Impact On Society"

Hillary Clinton, who paid for an opposition research dossier which was used by the Obama administration to justify surveiling her political opponent, Donald Trump, and later to smear him as the sitting President, will receive Harvard's prestigious Radcliffe Medal on Friday for having a "transformative impact on society," according to the Ivy League university.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Oh yes, this woman has been "transformative" in taking the Democratic party as low ethically as it could almost possibly go, in an effort to steal the election; and she still lost.

The Meuller investigation, though which she and her cohorts plotted to take President Trump down, through impeachment, is running off the rails, and headlong into oblivion; and the troll they had infiltrate the Republican 2016 campaign has been outed and named.

She has left the Democratic party severely injured, in a series of self-inflicted wounds by the people around her, starting with Debbie Wasserman Schultz, as Chair of the DNC, and her literally stealing of the nomination from Bernie Sanders to insure that Clinton got the nomination.

IF the Democratic leadership had two brain cells to rub together, they would be looking for a pro-peace candidate in 2020, and I have just the right person for them; that person would be Tulsi Gabbard, a House Representative from the state of Hawaii. She is very bright; a pro-peace Veteran, and a woman with Samoan-American heritage.

And trust me, if President Trump's foreign policy continues in its belocose, war-centric manner, causing even more wars than the ones we cannot seem to win in which we are still enmeshed (read: Afghanistan; Yemen; Somalia; and Iraq), the American people will be eager to elect a pro-peace candidate.

Trump's Big Defense-Spending Plans Still Aren't Enough For This Beltway Think Tank

Earlier this month, SIPRI (Stockholm International Peace Research Institute) which monitors global military spending, released its latest report. To no one's surprise, the US topped the list, with more spending than the next seven biggest spenders combined.

According to the report, in 2017 the US spent 610 billion dollars, while China spent 228 billion. The rest of the list engaged in miniscule amounts of spending by comparison, with Russia spending 66 billion, the UK spending 47 billion, and Japan spending 45 billion — to list a few examples.

Viewed in light of the deterrent power of the US's enormous nuclear stockpile, US military capability is far greater than even the SIPRI report suggests.

Nevertheless, there are some in Washington who every year cry wolf over how the US military is being stripped to the bone, and that the US must "rebuild" its military capability.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The issue isn't more money; it is getting every penny's worth of taxpayer dollars in what the DOD is already spending.

The corporate weapons industry culture believes that it is just fine to deliver products which are obsolete at the time of delivery; products which don't work as advertised; and that have insane cost overruns, breaking the budget. And why do these people believe this?!?

Because they contribute so intensely, overtly and covertly, to national political campaigns, they never think that things need to change, and this has put the US military in a position falling behind Russia and China in development, because their weapons manufacturers are delivering what their countries are asking of them, and even more.

We need that to start happening in the US military/industrial complex, and quickly.

Corporate leaders in this industry need to understand that in the next phase of US weapons development, they either deliver equipment on time, within budget, and working as advertised, or... the US government could well nationalize its weapons development.

Supreme Court Crushes Unions By Limiting Collective Action Bargaining

In what will likely be remembered as an epic middle finger to America's unions, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 on Monday - in a decision split along ideological lines - that businesses can force employees into individual arbitration to resolve disputes, virtually eliminating the threat of a class-action lawsuit.

The Washington Post described the ruling as "an important outcome for business interests."

The decision could make life much harder for unions fighting for better conditions and wages.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This decision was not the wisest the Supremes could have made here.

While I am not necessarily union-centric, I can see where they have helped many average working Americans have a better quality of life than they would have without unions existing.

"The Stakes Here Go Beyond Trump's Future" WSJ Editors Demand Truth About FBI Spying

Amid all the liberal media's meltdown over President Trump's "interference" in the 'investigation' by "hereby demanding" that potential crimes by Obama's FBI be investigated - and The Deep State's insistence that any exposure of the already-leaked name of the Trump campaign spy would damage national security - The Wall Street Journal refuses to back off its intense pressure to get to the truth.

President Trump dropped a three-tweet quote this morning...

The horrific politicization of the FBI, under Obama's watch, was a phenominal disgrace to this country, and imperils this country's future.

NYU Abu Dhabi Censors John Kerry Over Fear He Might Say Nice Things About Iran

It's one of those inevitable and awkward moments that so well exposes the hypocrisy of Western progressive academic institutions aligning themselves closely with autocratic gulf sheikhdoms.

While speaking to graduates at NYU Abu Dhabi on Sunday, former US Secretary of State John Kerry opined that "true civil discourse" is under threat around the world, yet in an irony that appeared lost on him the whole event was censored by NYU, possibly under orders from United Arab Emirates authorities.

FBI Informant Stefan Halper Paid Over $1 Million By Obama Admin; Spied On Trump Aide After Election

Less than a week after Stefan Halper was outed as the FBI informant who infiltrated the Trump campaign, public records reveal that the 73-year-old Oxford University professor and former U.S. government official was paid handsomely by the Obama administration starting in 2012 for various research projects.

A longtime CIA and FBI asset who once reportedly ran a spy-operation on the Jimmy Carter administration, Halper was enlisted by the FBI to spy on several Trump campaign aides during the 2016 U.S. election. Meanwhile, a search of public records reveals that between 2012 and 2018, Halper received a total of $1,058,161 from the Department of Defense.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This proves, as if it needed any more proof, that the American government has become corrupt beyond repair.

And President Obama paid this guy out of the Department of Defense?!?

Taxpayer dollars were used to spy on the Trump campaign?!?

Absoflippinglutely unbelievable, but perfectly predictable from the previous administration!!!!!

IF the Democrats are going to be running midterms on an "anti-corruption" platform, they had better get their own damed house in order.

This is hysterical, given the recent shenanigans pulled by the Democrats; and the problem is, being able to stop laughing, when looking at information like this.

Hillary Clinton urges Yale class to buy newspaper subscriptions

Who says Hillary Clinton dislikes the media?

Speaking to Yale graduates over the weekend, the former candidate for president urged the class to stop the spread of fake news and help support journalism by paying for it.

"It means calling out actual fake news when we see it and supporting brave journalists and their reporting maybe even by subscribing to a newspaper," she said.

As Michelle Wolf, the comedian who attended the White House correspondents dinner, noted, President Donald Trump's election has been a boon to most of the media business. The New York Times revenue topped $1 billion in 2017. In the final quarter of last year, it signed up 157,000 new subscribers, taking full-year subscriptions to 2.6 million.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Oh, yeah; the same corporately controlled papers which declared, in lock step with the Bush Administration that "Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction", and refuse, en masse, to report on the US-enabled, Saudi genocide in Yemen?!?

OF COURSE, this is precisely the kind of media Clinton would want Americans to rely upon, when the independent media honestly reported the truth about the Clinton Foundation before the election, and the big presstitutes did not!!

What’s Making Our Children Sick? Food Loaded with Chemical Ingredients. GM Foods

There is increasing concern about the health of our children among some parents, and our new book explores the perfect storm we have created that may be the culprit.

This storm is formed by a toxic mix of;

1) outdated medical models that struggle with chronic diseases and often overlook food;
2) an embattled scientific community, some of whom have obscured questions about the safety of GM foods and their associated pesticides; and
3) frustrated parents and children who are finding solutions by doing something so simple as changing their diet.
Of course, the causes of children’s disorders are many. But food plays an enormous role. Consider the possibility that some of the food we are feeding our children is loaded with chemical ingredients that are impairing our kid’s guts.

Gut feeling

Webmaster's Commentary:

To all the parents with kids who read this blog; please throw out your chemical pesticides, and ask the people at the hardware store you frequent, for a natural, working alternative.

And please, for the health of your kids (and your own health), switch to eating organically. Both the local supermarket, and the big box store where Mike and I do our weekly pilgrimage, have started listening to customers on this issue, and are bringing in a better assortment of organic foods as a result.

What is The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO)? Tectonic Shift in Global Geopolitics, Strategic Agreement between Russia and China

more well-known in the West.

What is the SCO?

The SCO is largely a story about Russia and China coming together, but it’s also more than that. Its emergence is testing Sir Halford Mackinder’s 1904 thesis:

‘Whoever rules East Europe, will rule Heartland; whoever rules the Heartland, will rule the World Island; whoever rules the World Island, will rule the world.’

Economically, and geopolitically, this institution will give the US government a real run for its money, which many of its member nations, particularly China and Russia, are going to be avoiding like the plague henceforward in international transactions.

War Authorization on a Silver Platter: The “Authority for the Use of Military Force 2018” (AUMF), A “Forever Vote” Is on the Move

The AUMF 2018 would replace AUMF’s 2001 and 2002 which proponents suggest would remove the onerous Constitutional responsibility from a self-proclaimed over-burdened Congress from voting to approve every single separate act of war. While final approval of the AUMF 2018 represents a “Forever Vote,” product of a low vibration consciousness, the ACLU, which should be leading a vigorous national campaign against the proposal, appears absent from the debate.

Approval of a one-size-fits-all AUMF will greatly facilitate the Pentagon’s long held desire to ‘take out’ seven countries in five years – although somewhat behind the original timeline, military conflict is ongoing throughout the Middle East and will allow dramatic escalation in each of those countries without meaningful accountability or Constitutional Congressional oversight.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It didn't take long for me, in my perspective about the Vietnam War, where many of my college mates were drafted into fighting it, and a number of them didn't return, other than in a cheap, aluminum coffin, or returned with PTSD, to realize that there was one thing Karl Marx had said, which made absolute sense; all wars are economic in origin.

At the moment, our troops are fighting and dying for contol over all the oil in the Middle East, and in what currency that oil will be sold; it is just that simple.

Yes, we can wrap these wars in a pretty, red, white, and blue flag, and talk about honor, glory, and protecting the "American Way of Life" (or what passes for it in the Unhinged, Surveilled State of WarMerica); but at the end of the day, as it has been for all the years in which wars have been fought, won, or lost, it is about control of resources, and control of the money in which those resources can be purchased.

IF Congress is unwilling to do its duty, by declaring war, or preventing it, as Constitutionally required, then every single alleged representative should be SACKED in the midterms, and replaced with someone who understands their responsibility here.
