Chemistry Technique Developed By Researchers That Turns Plastic Into Clean Fuel

By Mayukh Saha

This is one waste problem that could instead be turned into a boon for our energy-starved planet. We are drowning in plastic and have already produced 8.3 billion tons of plastics in just 65 years, equivalent in weight to 25,000 Empire State Buildings. This will take ages to decompose and will cause incalculable harm to wildlife and the environment. But researchers have come up with a new technique that can convert the pollutants into eco-friendly fuel...

Short Video: Doctor Explains How LED Screens Affect Your Mental State and Sleep Quality

By B.N. Frank

According to Dr. Leland Stillman’s Facebook page, he is a physician with an interest in how the environment affects human health. Last month he posted a 4 ½-minute video about 2011 research on how LED light affects our minds and our sleep.

Because blue light from LED screens can keep us awake and stimulated, some people really like it. Unfortunately, it can also prevent us from sleeping well. Many health experts have warned about this especially in regard to how LED light from screens affects children...

How Music Therapy Can Help Anxious Children

By Elizabeth Coombes, University of South Wales

According to the NHS, as many as one in eight children aged five to 19 faces a mental health challenge. And a significant number of these cases are related to some form of anxiety.

Of course, a degree of anxiety or worry may be a normal state of affairs for young people – particularly when moving schools, or around exam time. But for some, anxiety can affect every aspect of their daily lives.

One effective method of providing support for this anxiety is music therapy, where music becomes the main tool the therapist uses to connect and work with the patient. This kind of therapy has been shown to be effective when treating children and young people living with anxiety based disorders...

Livestrong.com and Cardiologist Promote Apple Watch Despite Known Cardiac Risks From Electromagnetic Radiation and WiFi

By B.N. Frank

Telecom companies have been warning shareholders for many years that they may eventually be held liable for their devices and transmitters. Insurance companies won’t cover their devices or transmitters because it’s too risky. Regardless, many health organizations still promote wearable tech as beneficial even though boatloads of research has determined that exposure to Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) aka “Electrosmog” (including WiFi) is biologically harmful. Symptoms and severity from exposure varies and includes cardiac issues.

A quick search on Livestrong.com indicates they regularly promote wearable tech. More nonsense was posted recently which includes a recommendation from a cardiologist for Apple Watch wearers...

The Asteroid That Killed the Dinosaurs Created the Most Beautiful Underwater Caves in the World

About 65 million years ago, the Earth had a little encounter with a 7.5-mile-wide asteroid, now called the Chicxulub impactor. Scientists are still arguing over whether this was the killing blow for the dinosaurs, but what we do know was that it was so catastrophic that it liquidized a chunk of the Earth's crust and created a crater in the Yucatan Peninsula 112 miles wide, then threw up enough ash to cause a global drop in temperature that's estimated to have been between 14 to 18 degrees.

The Chicxulub asteroid was probably the worst impact the Earth has even seen, but it did create one of the most breathtaking natural wonders of the world: the Ring of Cenotes.

New flu vaccine contains Gulf war syndrome adjuvant

Pharmaceutical giant Novartis has just rolled out a new flu vaccine, FLUAD, intended for Americans age 65 and over. And the vaccine, developed for the 2016-2017 flu season, contains a nasty surprise – squalene, the substance many say is responsible for triggering Gulf war syndrome. {Even military personnel are speaking out about what really causes Gulf war syndrome}

Gulf war syndrome, which affects returning military veterans of the Persian Gulf War, is a cascade of conditions and symptoms including fatigue, muscle pain, cognitive problems, rashes, night sweats, and other ills. Research scientist Dr. Vera Scheibner maintains that lupus, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and other life-threatening diseases can also result.

Over 250,000 of the 697,000 US veterans who served in the Persian Gulf are afflicted with the condition.

Ocean Cleanup starts harvesting plastic from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch

After years in development, the Ocean Cleanup arrived at the Great Pacific Garbage Patch in October last year with the intention of gathering up plastic waste. Sadly, things didn't go precisely to plan and the huge U-shaped barrier had to be hauled in for repairs in January, 2019. It was fixed and redeployed in June, and subsequently had a parachute attached to it. And today the non-profit is reporting that its latest prototype is successfully capturing plastic debris.

Genetically-engineered 'superflies' which eat poisonous plants and make predators throw them up if they're eaten are developed in laboratory

A 'superfly' resistant to toxic plants has been created in a lab by scientists who have made a major advance in the field of gene editing.

In nature, the fruit fly will die if it eats milkweed, a sticky sap-filled plant, and is eaten by hungry frogs and birds.

But scientists manage to edit the DNA of the flies to make them able to stomach the once-poisonous plant, which has the added benefit of making predators vomit if they try to eat them.

Scientists at the University of California, Berkeley, gave the flies' maggots the properties of monarch butterflies, which feed of milkweed.

Their effort is thought to be the first time an animal has been engineered to survive in a completely different environment, with a different diet and predators.

The releases of genetically-modified organisms (GMOs) into the natural environment is having a catastrophic and irreversible impact on our planet. A company known as Oxitec, based out of the United Kingdom, which had announced plans to release genetically-engineered, or transgenic, mosquitoes into the wild.

Oxitec’s stated goal was to eradicate native mosquito populations carrying potentially deadly diseases like Zika by infiltrating their ranks with transgenic impostors. These impostor mosquitoes, we were told, do not have the ability to reproduce, and thus pose no risk of causing long-term changes to the natural ecosystem, according to a report by Natural News. Google goes full-throttle with health censorship, doubles down on Big Pharma drugs and disease

Google has gone all-in with Big Pharma to push drugs and disease, while simultaneously blocking access to life-saving health information. But Google’s not stopping at censorship for health and wellness — the tech giant is also pushing pro-Big Pharma propaganda on their search engine. From trying to cover-up the opioid epidemic and Big Pharma’s death toll, to discrediting and silencing the natural health community, Google’s evil truly knows no bounds. Big Pharma CEO: “My Primary Responsibility is to Shareholders”

The truth, as explained by Dr. Marcia Angell, a physician and longtime Editor-in-Chief of the New England Medical Journal (NEMJ), one of the most prestigious peer-reviewed medical journals in the world alongside The Lancet, is that “it is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. Another Narrative Collapse — Eating Meat is not Ritualistic Suicide

Just stay away from the red meat!
Because the demonization of red meat cuts to the heart of the political con job that is modern cultural Marxism and its supposed moral high ground.

You can see this in the response to the landmark study just completed that concluded there is no perceivable risk from eating red meat as opposed to anything else. It immediately provoked apoplexy akin to doctors prescribing hemlock to treat eczema.

Veganism and ethical vegetarianism are inextricably bound up with the push towards modern forms of social control. They are religions based on the mistaken, inherently Marxist, belief that humanity is a virus that needs to be contained.

Vegetarians claim a moral high ground they can’t support as an extension of an ideology built on the guilt of being alive, of denying their basic humanity as predators.

Pesticides found to make bees helpless to deadly mite infestations

A new study from the University of Guelph, located in Canada, confirms that sub-lethal doses of certain pesticides cause harm to honeybees. The scientists say that neonicotinoid pesticides, or “neonics,” actually interfere with the bees’ ability to self-groom and increases their risk of succumbing to a deadly mite infestation.

Published in Scientific Reports, the researchers looked at the effects of clothiandin, a commonly used neonic, on bee grooming behavior. What they found was that low-level exposure to the neonic caused the bees to stop grooming themselves properly.

For bees, poor self-grooming practices can be fatal, as it leaves them susceptible to varroa mites — and these mites can carry deadly viruses.

Ashkenazic Jews' mysterious origins unravelled by scientists thanks to ancient DNA

For a more scientific take on the Jewish origin debate, recent DNA analysis of Ashkenazic Jews – a Jewish ethnic group – revealed that their maternal line is European. It has also been found that their DNA only has 3% ancient ancestry which links them with the Eastern Mediterranean (also known as the Middle East) – namely Israel, Lebanon, parts of Syria, and western Jordan. This is the part of the world Jewish people are said to have originally come from – according to the Old Testament. But 3% is a minuscule amount, and similar to what modern Europeans as a whole share with Neanderthals. So given that the genetic ancestry link is so low, Ashkenazic Jews most recent ancestors must be from elsewhere.

Energy-efficient washing machine in a German hospital acted as a 'reservoir for multidrug-resistant pathogens' and passed on 'pneumonia-like bacteria' to several babies in intensive care

Energy-efficient washing machines could be harbouring dangerous antibiotic-resistant bacteria as they do not run hot enough to destroy them, a new study found.

Researchers found that a washing machine used on the clothes of babies in intensive care in Germany was harbouring pneumonia-like bacteria in trapped water.

It is also thought that the final rinse — which uses unheated water — could also have helped cultivate the bacterial contamination.

The rise in popularity of energy-saving, low-temperature washes — which are less capable of destroying microorganisms — could be dangerous, they warned.

As most of you know, who read this site, as a Christian Pacifist activist, I never counsel violence, nor would I; but I think that there is a Biblical invocation which would definitely apply today, and that is "Be ye wise as serpents, but as harmless as doves." (Matthew 10).

First, it means don't hurt people; know with whom you can speak about these issues, and those you cannot. Share, one on one, what you learn here, and at other places which refuse to be cowed, as long as they are allowed to exist.

Secondly, if you are still on TwitFace, get off, immediately; all information you share is scanned, held, and then shipped to the "proper authorities", and these entities will be very quick to deplatform you, and never explaining why they have done so.

They have become an arm of government in and unto itself, which now consists of: Legislative; Executive; Judicial; "Permitted Journalism", and Surveillance (Twitface's job).

This will not be explained to you in Civics Classes (do they even have Civics classes anymore?!?), so you need to get up to speed about the mechanisms Twitface uses to "disappear" content of which the US Deep State does not approve.

At lower altitudes,frost,a month early.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

A month of intriguing September weather — including a tornado and heavy rain in the Portland area — wouldn’t have been complete without a bit of mountain magic.

Now, with the month winding down, 11 inches of snow is on the ground at the famous Timberline Lodge.

Doug Casey and E.B. Tucker on the Climate Change Hoax

Question: E.B., you’ve called global climate change a “hoax” before in your Strategic Investor newsletter. That’s a bold claim. After all, most people think that, one, climate change is happening, and two, that humans are causing it.
Why do you think it’s a hoax?

BEX ALERT: Troops, Vets Increasingly Targeted by Russian 'Troll Factories,’ Report Finds

Rather obvious Propaganda.

27 Sep 2019
Military.com | By Richard Sisk
The same Russian "troll factories" that sought to influence the 2016 elections have continued to target service members, veterans and their families online with "hateful and divisive messages," according to a two-year investigative report by Vietnam Veterans of America.

"They're incredibly good at branding" and are seeking to "pit us against each other" in the military and veterans community, said Kristofer Goldsmith, VVA chief investigator and author of the 191-page report.

Trump, FDR, and War

President Trump’s campaign of “maximum pressure” against Iran reminds me of President Franklin Roosevelt’s similar campaign against Japan prior to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

Trump’s brutal economic embargo on Iran brings to mind what FDR did to Japan. The difference, however, is that Trump’s objective seems different from that of Roosevelt.

When Trump withdrew the United States from the accord that it had entered into with Iran under the Obama administration, it was with the aim of arriving at a new accord. Trump figured that by squeezing the economic life out of the Iranian citizenry with his embargo, he could induce Iran’s rulers to return to the bargaining table and enter into a new agreement, one that would be satisfactory to Trump, which he could then trumpet in his campaign for reelection.

Dems Propose First Gun Grab Since Lexington And Concord

Mandatory gun buyback' is a silly euphemism.
By David Harsanyi

What Democrats propose can be more accurately described as “the first American gun confiscation effort since Lexington and Concord,” or some variation on that theme.

I’m certain nothing in the Second Amendment mentions hunting, because the right of self-defense—an individual concern, as well as a collective one—has nothing to do with shooting deer, and everything to do with protecting Americans from those who endeavor to strip them of their inalienable rights.

If you think you’re going to have overwhelming support for “mandatory gun buybacks” when people learn that you’re really talking about “the confiscation of 20 million guns,” you’re fooling yourself.

Time Travel Back to Shot Heard 'Round the World

By the rude bridge that arched the flood,Their flag to April's breeze unfurled;Here once the embattled farmers stood;
And fired the shot heard 'round the world.

Lest we forget, this country was forged out of a concerted desire to free the shackles of the British Empire, so that colonies could chart their own course for individual state governments.

Stand abreast with the Lexington Massachusetts farmers as the echo of the first crack of defiance was heard throughout the globe. The significance of the “Shot Heard Round the World” is nicely summed up by Chuck Baldwin. He submits that these “two elements of American history are lost to the vast majority of historians today: 1) it was attempted gun confiscation by the British troops that ignited America’s War for Independence, and 2) it was a pastor and his flock that mostly comprised the “Minutemen” who fired the shots that started our great Revolution.”

How the Saudi Oil Field Attack Overturned America’s Apple Cart

For all their overwhelming firepower, the U.S. and its allies can cause a lot of misery in the Middle East, but still can’t govern the course of events.

In spite of a $68 billion a year defense budget – the third highest spending of any country in the world – with a world-class air force and supposed state-of-the-art anti-aircraft system, a handful of bargain basement drones and cruise missiles slipped through the Saudi radar and devastated Riyadh’s oil economy.

This is hardly an historical first. British dragoons at Concord were better trained and armed than a bunch of Massachusetts farmers, but the former were 5,000 miles from home and there were lots more of the latter, and so the English got whipped.

#Greta Thunberg is decoy, Fossil Free-groups funded by billionaires who also fund Big Oil. Somebody’s manipulating Oil

The public child abuse in using Greta Thunberg to push the Fossil Free campaign to end investments in oil and gas world-wide, has far wealthier sponsors than local Swedish businessmen such as Ingmar Renzhog and Bo Thorén. The billion dollar climate-change industry is hyped up for a reason.

Soros investments in oil and gas far overshadow his investment in #FossilFree eco-environmental groups. He is not the only leftwing billionaire donating to end oil, and at the same time investing heavily in oil and gas.

One may assume that the Oil and Gas industry is currently subjected to a billionaire-funded, eco-group like “Arab Spring” where the mainstream media plays its usual role in hyping up sentiments. Somebody’s manipulating the industry to profit massively once the bubble bursts and the market needs more energy, writes historian, author and founder of Herland Report, Hanne Nabintu Herland.

American Families Are Rejecting Hi-Tech School Curriculums and Their Zombifying Effect

By B.N. Frank

For many years, Silicon Valley parents (aka tech inventors) have been sending their kids to private low-tech schools and limiting their use of tech, whereas other American families are being told that providing “high tech” educations is what’s best for their kids. An increasing number of experts and studies continue to warn that this is definitely NOT best for kids, and it’s not just about eye damage from excessive screen use.

When students at a private school in Australia were given a choice between a high-tech education or no-tech education, they chose no-tech. When American families aren’t given a choice, some are removing their kids from schools...

Biden seeks to bar Giuliani from TV news, after Trump lawyer alleges possible Biden corruption

This is typical narcissistic behavior. Accuse the other party of what you are guilty of.The Old 180 degree switcheroo!
Was married to one and have learned their techniques the hard way!

Joe Biden's presidential campaign requested in a letter on Sunday that major news networks not invite President Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani anymore, after Giuliani spent the morning on a series of talk shows aggressively highlighting what he called Biden's apparently corrupt dealings in Ukraine and China.

Biden has acknowledged on camera that, when he was vice president, he successfully pressured Ukraine to fire that prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, who was investigating the natural gas firm Burisma Holdings — where son Hunter Biden had a highly lucrative role on the board paying him tens of thousands of dollars per month, despite limited relevant expertise. The vice president threatened to withhold $1 billion in critical U.S. aid if Shokin was not fired.

First Flight of Iran's Qaher F-313 Imminent? Capabilities of Iranian Military Aviation Indicate a Basic Stealth Jet is Possible

The Iranian armed forces have recently announced the imminent first public flight of a new indigenous fighter jet of unknown designation, leading to much speculation as to the platform set to be unveiled and whether the Qaher F-313 stealth fighter was the aircraft referred to.

While it cannot be verified at this point whether the Qaher F-313 is or is not a genuine stealth fighter, the prospect for such a program may not be as impossible as Western and Israeli sources have claimed. Firstly one must consider Iran's substantial military industrial capabilities, which supply the vast majority of the country's defence needs independently, effectively and an extremely low cost.
