Missouri retracts police memo which labeled activists as 'militia'

The Missouri Department of Public Safety has retracted a controversial profiling memo which linked libertarian activists, Christians, constitutionalists, supporters of Congressman Ron Paul and other traditionally conservative groups to underground militias.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Too late. Nobody will ever believe that this is not still what the government is thinking.

Obama passing new law to allow searching of PC's, Laptops, and media devices

Webmaster's Commentary:

Folks, mp3 players and even laptops are cheap these days, so have an mp3 player and laptop you use for everyday life and a second cheap set you use to travel, not only because the travel set can be sanitized but because the TSA are probably going to drop and break it anyway.

ATTENTION TERRORISTS: The US Government has just opened the door for your activities. Buy an mp3 player, load it up with downloaded stolen music and just leave it abandoned in the waiting area at the boarding gate. Watch who "recovers" it and get in line behind them. The TSA will be so orgasmic at having found a real music pirate they will ignore you while you carry that SCUD missile onto the airplane!

ATTENTION AIRLINES: You know, I really did want to buy a ticket to fly to that trade show, but I can't take the risk that the TSA goons will steal my clients' data from my laptop while searching it for illegal copies of rap music, so I am going to stay home and read sales brochures instead. I know you are just hovering at the edge of bankruptcy and that several thousand business travelers deciding to cancel their trips for security reasons (i.e. to protect themselves from the government) will probably drive you under, but heck, that's the way the economy crumbles, when the government makes it impossible for us all go on about our business.

ATTENTION MEDIA CORPORATIONS: Your sales of movies did not decline because of piracy. The buying public just got sick of all those remakes of stories we have already seen, especially about Germany in the middle of the last century.

Taking back the USA

Globalization has profited only the multi-national corporations and the rich elite who run or invest in them. The multi-national corporation sits on the backs of working people around the world, people who have been pitted against each other, and now work for less because they undersold their services to enrich those corporations. These corporations financially divided and conquered world economies.

The Usury Vampire Game

The Zionist Empire is something like those enormous trawling and drift nets that are up to 40 kilometers long. This net, which is a net of woven darkness, covers the Earth like Sherwin William’s paint. First, I’m going to say it flat out and then I’m going to toss a lot of examples out and you can decide if I’m just being mean to these poor oppressed victims who get criticized for the routine, cold-blooded murder of women and children, whose land they stole and who don’t have the good sense to leave… or anywhere to leave to for that matter. The Zionist movement is indeed no different from that of the Nazis and they and their supporters are bloodthirsty predators whose intent is to enslave the human race.

US backing for world currency stuns markets

US Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner shocked global markets by revealing that Washington is "quite open" to Chinese proposals for the gradual development of a global reserve currency run by the International Monetary Fund.

The dollar plunged instantly against the euro, yen, and sterling as the comments flashed across trading screens. David Bloom, currency chief at HSBC, said the apparent policy shift amounts to an earthquake in geo-finance.

"The mere fact that the US Treasury Secretary is even entertaining thoughts that the dollar may cease being the anchor of the global monetary system has caused consternation," he said.

California May Ban Black Cars

The California legislature is considering regulating the color of cars and reflectivity of paint to reduce the energy requirements to cool them. A presentation on the proposed legislation by the California Air Resources Board is below.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I understand the physics behind this suggestion, but I have to say I oppose this latest grab for control over our lives for two reasons. The first is that if one thinks about it long enough, there is always going to be one more reason why the government should control our lives just a bit more. How much water we use, when we can run the air conditioners, where we can live, what clothes we must wear and when, what we may or may not watch on the internet, to what gods we must sacrifice, etc. etc. etc.

It never stops.

Until you make it stop.

The second reason I am opposed to this level of government tinkering in our lives is that while the science behind banning black paint is fairly straightforward, the same is not true for some of the other intrusive measures government has taken, such as the push for ethanol that turned out to ruin automobile fuel systems and created a food shortage.

Even today as the Earth demonstrably cools, those government entities that have hitched their fortunes to human-caused global warming are still trying to figure out a direct path into your wallet and control over your hot body, reality be damned. and of course, it continues to emerge that government-mandated vaccinations may be contributing to the epidemic of autism.

The fact is that the government has botched a lot of things, including the economy, Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, our industrial base, just to name a few. The assumption that government knows best is simply not operational at this time.

Seychelles: Paradise goes bankrupt

Last year, as tourism and fishing revenue began slowing, the Seychelles defaulted on a $230 million, euro-denominated bond that had been arranged by Lehman Brothers before its own bankruptcy. The IMF came in in November with a two-year, $26 million rescue package, and the country has since taken a series of emergency steps: It laid off 12.5% of government workers (1,800 people), floated its currency (the Seychelles rupee, which has fallen from eight to the U.S. dollar to 16, effectively doubling the prices of imports), lifted foreign exchange controls and agreed to sell state assets.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Notice that there is never a mention that maybe government is too large and taxes too much and that the solution to restart the global economy is much smaller government and the elimination of taxes, to allow people who make the money to keep more of it.

Judges Accused of Jailing Kids for Cash

Ciavarella and Conahan, who face up to 7 years in prison, had devised a plot to use their positions as judges to pad their pockets. They shut down the old county-run juvenile detention center by first refusing to send kids there and, then, by cutting off funds, choking it out of existence. They then replaced the facility with a cash cow -- a privately owned lockup built by the judges' cronies -- and forged a deal for the county to pay $58 million for a 10-year period for its use. At the time Conahan was serving as president judge of the Luzerne County Common Pleas Court, a position that allowed him to control the county-court budget. Ciavarella was the Luzerne County juvenile court judge.

Stimulus Bait-and-Switch: Federal Tax Changes Will Reduce State Tax Coffers

President Barack Obama told the nation's governors in February that the states' $229 billion share of the federal stimulus package "will ensure that you don't need to make cuts to essential services that Americans rely on now more than ever."

But while one hand of the federal government is offering Medicaid, education and other direct assistance to the states, the other hand could reduce state tax revenues by billions of dollars. That's because many states copy adjustments in the federal tax code into their own to make things less confusing for taxpayers — and the $787 billion stimulus package is heavily laden with federal tax breaks and incentives. ...

Did a Monsanto-Hosted Dinner Kill the Montana Farmer Protection Bill?

But, considering the simplicity of the bill, and considering that Monsanto in particular was not there to tell legislators what signals the bill would send to the company and others like it, it seemed just a little out of place.

Then, Kahrin Deines of the Associated Press found out that Monsanto did in fact offer input on the bill. It just did so via a private hosted dinner—rather than through customary channels like, you know, registering as a lobbyist or testifying before the committee along with the rest of the public.

UN & IMF Back Agenda For Global Financial Dictatorship

As Georgetown professor and CFR historian Carroll Quigley noted, the goal of the banking families and their minions consists of “nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole… controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences.”

In 2007, Robert Mundell, “the father of the euro,” noted that “international monetary reform usually becomes possible only in response to a felt need and the threat of a global crisis.”

Welcome to Pipelineistan

What happens on the immense battlefield for the control of Eurasia will provide the ultimate plot line in the tumultuous rush towards a new, polycentric world order, also known as the New Great Game.

Our good ol' friend the nonsensical "global war on terror", which the Pentagon has slyly rebranded "the Long War", sports a far more important, if half-hidden, twin - a global energy war. I like to think of it as the Liquid War, because its bloodstream is the pipelines that crisscross the potential imperial battlefields of the planet. Put another way, if its crucial embattled frontier these days is the Caspian Basin, the whole of Eurasia is its chessboard. Think of it, geographically, as Pipelineistan.

Hungry shrimp eat climate change experiment

Earlier this month, the controversial Indian-German Lohafex expedition fertilised 300 square kilometres of the Southern Atlantic with six tonnes of dissolved iron. The iron triggered a bloom of phytoplankton, which doubled their biomass within two weeks by taking in carbon dioxide from the seawater. Dead bloom particles were then expected to sink to the ocean bed, dragging carbon along with them.

Instead, the bloom attracted a swarm of hungry copepods. The tiny crustaceans graze on phytoplankton, which keeps the carbon in the food chain and prevents it from being stored in the ocean sink.

New Rule Would Allow Banks To Choose Values Of Their Assets

The Financial Accounting Standards Board quietly buckled to banking-industry pressure last week and proposed new accounting practices that would allow banks to value assets at a higher price than they could currently be sold for.

Banks have long demanded the "mark-to-market" accounting rule change, arguing that it's unfair to require them to mark toxic assets down to current market prices because the very market for those assets is frozen.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is why the stock market is soaring right now.

Men who ate omega-3 rich “dark” oily fish such as mackerel, salmon and sardines between one and three times a month were found to have a 36 per cent lower risk of developing prostate cancer than those who never ate fish.

And men who ate oily fish once a week or more had an astonishing 57 per cent reduction in risk. Similar results were found in men who eat shellfish, which also contain fatty acids.

Researchers found men’s omega-3 intake had a significant impact on the effect of a variant of the COX-2 gene, which is linked to prostate cancer.

Men with the inherited gene are more than five times more likely to develop prostate cancer, but the scientists found a high consumption of oily fish wiped out this risk factor.

States Rebellion Pending

Our Colonial ancestors petitioned and pleaded with King George III to get his boot off their necks. He ignored their pleas, and in 1776, they rightfully declared unilateral independence and went to war.

Today it’s the same story except Congress is the one usurping the rights of the people and the states, making King George’s actions look mild in comparison. Our constitutional ignorance—perhaps contempt, coupled with the fact that we’ve become a nation of wimps, sissies and supplicants—has made us easy prey for Washington’s tyrannical forces. But that might be changing a bit. There are rumblings of a long overdue re-emergence of Americans’ characteristic spirit of rebellion.

A not-so-private PC

The personal computer may soon be not-so-private, with the U.S. and some European nations working on laws allowing them access to search the content held on a person's hard drive.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Well, thanks to the music thieves, governments are now pressing for laws to allow random searches of all of our computers for stolen materials without probable cause. The real danger is, of course, that corrupt people involved in those searches will copy and exploit personal business information for their own use.

In theory, what these laws do is force you to leave the keys to your house with the local police station, so that the cops can come in and look around whenever they feel like it, even when you are not at home. No sane human would allow this, given the previously reported actions of the police forces, and likewise many of us carry data on our laptops which is private not only to our own businesses but to our clients.

As one example, on my laptop I have materials related to a TV show I work on; materials which are of some value to the various fan magazines, but which would be harmful to my client if it were released. I am legally allowed to have this material, but what if some TSA bozo (assuming he didn't drop the laptop and wreck it again) sees the familiar faces, decides to copy off the files, then sells them to a buddy at 'embarrassing moments on the set' magazine! The bozo picks up a few thousand, I get in trouble because I was the last person known by the production company to have the files, and all we get from TSA is "We're fighting music piracy!"

So in the name of protecting profits, the government will treat all of us like we are criminals rather than dealing with the fact that we cannot expect young people to be moral when the leaders of our nations are so obviously immoral.

Let us be honest; real criminals and terrorists can buy plenty of those fingernail sized multi-gig flash drives to put sensitive data on, then sneak them through the security scans (hidden inside the hundreds of tons of cocaine and heroin that cruise right past the customs people every year). Homeland Security admits that half of the practice bombs get through those gates (probably more now that TSA is working for RIAA) so getting a flash drive past them is easy.

So, in short, we will all be totally inconvenienced for a policy that doesn't stand a chance of working in the first place, but opens up our private files for looting by the "authorities."

There have been no comments from the Israeli army but reports indicate that the fifteen minute shootout wounded five Israeli soldiers.

US deploys warships as North Korea prepares to launch missile

The US has deployed two warships with anti-missile capabilities in the waters off Japan as tensions mount over North Korea's plans to test-fire a long-range ballistic missile capable of striking Alaska.

Webmaster's Commentary:

North Korea is not testing a ballistic missile. They are launching a satellite into orbit. Yes, they are using a military missile to do so, but then the United States has used modified ICBMs as space launchers, including the Mercury and Gemini programs.

Whereas the United States Government has consistently supported efforts to address the rise in anti-Semitism through its bilateral relationships and through engagement in international organizations such as the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and the Organization of American States;

Whereas, in 2004, Congress passed the Global Anti-Semitism Review Act (Public Law 108-332), which established an Office to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism, headed by a Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism;

GM ingredients detected in organic 'GM free' foods

A wide range of organic or health food products on sale in the UK contain traces of genetically modified (GM) ingredients, according to a study due to be published in April.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This illustrates the real danger of GM crops. They cannot be controlled. Once they are released into the wild, the altered genes will eventually spread out across the entire globe.

Shut Down the O'Reilly Harassment Machine

Going after O'Reilly through his corporate sponsors seems like a fitting punitive measure, considering O'Reilly's manic obsession with his imaginary enemy NBC and their parent company GE. O'Reilly even managed to use the Terkel ambush to continue his assault on his network nemesis, which was particularly strange since Terkel has nothing to do with NBC whatsoever. It was even odder when O'Reilly tried desperately on his show to make the connection between Terkel, NBC, GE, and Iran in less than one minute!

The covert war on UK teens - and its aims

The 16th president of the USA, Abraham Lincoln, said once, that a house divided against itself cannot stand. This is true in any era, and in any civilization. It is also true that a blatant dictatorship, such as Britain with its 3 million plus cameras in London alone, cannot stand as long as the people stand together in mutual support of each other. Endless fault lines are artificially created to prevent this outcome. White on Muslim, rich against poor, British against Polish, and now adults against teenagers.

Gun sellers can't keep up with demand for ammo

On the political front, they say, gun owners and enthusiasts appear to be buying more guns and ammo out of concern that President Obama's administration will push for more gun control.

As a result, "Obama has sold more guns and ammunition than anybody in history," said Bill Vinduska, owner of the Bullseye Indoor Shooting Range, 1455 N. Terrace.

And Don Holman, owner of the Bullet Stop indoor shooting range, 2625 W. Pawnee, said there is an economic component. Many gun consumers seem to be concerned that in a bad economy, crime will increase, he said.
