Zogby: Obama’s Slipping Popularity

The public opinion honeymoon appears to be over for the Obama Presidency. Here’s what our latest measure of his popularity shows:

“A new Zogby Interactive survey shows a slight decline in President Barack Obama’s job approval, with 48% of likely voters now approving of the job he is doing as president, down from 51% who said the same in an interactive/telephone hybrid poll conducted in mid-June. Forty-nine percent now say they disapprove of the job the president has done so far in office and 4% are not sure.

Other Unknown Facts : The Truth About Cops and Race

The Truth About Cops and Race
By Michael Filozof
Last week, Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates, a black man, was arrested by a white police officer for disorderly conduct. Gates accused the officer of racism. President Obama created a national media firestorm by commenting on the arrest, saying the cops "acted stupidly" and that the U.S. has a "long history" of "African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately, and that's just a fact."
It's that old liberal stereotype once again - bigoted white cops picking on poor, innocent blacks, just like Selma, Ala. in 1963. Really?
The truth is quite the opposite: minority suspects are likely to kill or injure white officers at a rate much higher than the minority component of the overall population.

Israel has made it quite clear that in any future conflict with Hezbollah, Israel will regard the Lebanese government as being responsible for Hezbollah’s actions. This means that any attack Israel launches against Hezbollah will now include action against all of Lebanon and Lebanon’s armed forces.

Since Israel now regards Hezbollah as an integral part of the Lebanese government, any future war launched by Israel to destroy Hezbollah will have to involve a full-on invasion – which, of course, is what the Israelis have always wanted to do and have attempted a number of times before. But next time will different. Next time the Israelis invade Lebanon it will be with overwhelming force and the resulting occupation of southern Lebanon up to the Litani River will likely be permanent.

The Gallup poll, conducted in mid-July, found that only 30 percent rated the Fed as doing an "excellent/good" job.

At that time, then-Fed chief Alan Greenspan was steering a fragile economy back from the 2001 recession, terror attacks and corporate accounting scandals that had rocked Wall Street.

Israel on Iran: Anything it takes to stop nukes

Israel hardened its insistence Monday that it would do anything it felt necessary to stop Iran from getting a nuclear bomb, just the ultimatum the United States hoped not to hear as it tried to nudge Iran to the bargaining table.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One more time.

Iran does not have a nuclear weapon.

Iran is not building a nuclear weapon. The available evidence shows that they stopped their fledgling program in 2003.

What Iran is building is a nuclear power station, which they are legally allowed to do under the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, which both Iran and the United States have signed. Under article IV of the NNPT the United States is obligated to assist Iran in building their power station.

Even if Iran had a nuclear weapon they are not a threat either to the United States, which has thousands of warheads, or to Israel, which has at least 200.

Iran has not invaded anyone for 200 years.

In contrast ...

Israel has nuclear warheads, which they build in a no-longer-secret lab underneath the Dimona Reactor. Israel has never signed the NNPT and does not permit inspections of its facilities by the IAEA. Israel is constantly invading their neighbors.

Israel made the same accusations about Iraq just prior to bombing the power station at Osirik. Subsequent inspections following the 2003 invasion confirmed there was no clandestine weapons factory at the site. Israel's claims that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction were likewise totally false.

Who is the problem child of the Middle East?

Ehud Barak warns Iran of possible Israeli strike on nuclear facilities

With the US Defence Secretary standing at his side, Ehud Barak, Israel’s Defence Minister, today warned Iran that a military strike on its nuclear facilities was still an option.

“We clearly believe that no option should be removed from the table. This is our policy. We mean it. We recommend to others to take the same position but we cannot dictate it to anyone,” Mr Barak said at a press conference with Robert Gates in Jerusalem.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It appears that Obama and Gates have "greenlit" a potential Israeli attack against Iran, after what was an agreed-upon time-table, and with the diplomatic process chock full pre-conditions Iran could never accept.

There's only one slight, minor, tiny problem with this potential attack. Russian leadership has stated to both Israel and the US that such an attack will lead to WWIII.

US Has New Plan to Hold Afghan Youth

Faced with impending defeat in a U.S. District Court habeas corpus case, the Obama administration devised a new strategy for continuing the detention of Mohammed Jawad, an Afghani who may have been as young as 12 in 2002 when he allegedly wounded two U.S. soldiers with a grenade.

Justice Department lawyers announced Friday that they would transform Jawad?s indefinite detention as an enemy combatant at Guant?namo Bay into a criminal case, thus negating the habeas corpus hearing in Washington, D.C., where Judge Ellen Segal Huvelle had accused the government of "dragging [the case] out for no good reason."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Gates: Iran is a threat to Israel, US

Washington says Iran’s nuclear program is a threat to both Israel and the United States, reaffirming its ‘unbreakable bond’ with Tel Aviv.

US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates made the comments in a joint news conference with the Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak in Jerusalem (Al-Quds).

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: Barak and Netanyahu got everything they wanted from this meeting, including a "green light" for an attack against Iran after a specific deadline has passed in September.

Israel and the US knows that they will get very little traction at the UN, because Russia will veto more sanctions. Russia is Iran's 7th largest trading partner.

Iran is doing absolutely nothing wrong; under the NPT, to which they are a signatory, they have every right to use nuclear energy peacefully, i.e., the building of a power station.

The IAEA's reports on the inspections of this facility consistently indicate absolutely no enrichment beyond that which is needed to fuel a power station, and no misuse of nuclear materials.

The war drums are beating every more loudly, in the concerted "big lie" campaign to garner public US support for an attack against Iran; but it is not working this time (particularly after the pack of lies sold to the American people upon which the invasion and occupation of Iraq was based)

Revealed: £12bn hidden costs of Afghan war

The soaring cost of Britain's military campaign in Afghanistan is laid bare today, as a comprehensive analysis reveals that the cost of fighting the Taliban has passed £12bn. An Independent on Sunday assessment of the "hidden costs" of fighting since the Taliban was ousted in 2001 reveals that the bill works out at £190 for every man, woman and child in the UK – and would pay for 23 new hospitals, 60,000 new teachers or 77,000 new nurses.

Netanyahu: Israel wants 'understanding' with US

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday he hopes to work out key policy disagreements with the U.S. during a series of meetings this week with high-profile American envoys.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: Israel will give not one inch on the settlement issue, and expects the US to bomb Iran....or Israel will go ahead with a military attack.

The only leverage Obama has here, he refused to use as of the comment by the state department last Friday, that there would be no sanctions on Israel.

That means Netanyahu knows he can do whatever he wants, secure in the knowledge that the US will not pull any military or financial aid from Israel.

Clinton Seeks to Calm Russia After Biden ‘Diatribe’

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was left trying to do some diplomatic clean-up work today, as she publicly declared that Russia remains a “Great Power” and is still respected by the United States. The comments come just one day after an interview with Vice President Joe Biden featured what is being called a “diatribe” against Russia’s standing in the world.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It appears that the US's own "Foot in Mouth' Joe" Biden should never be allowed to open his mouth in public, anywhere.

Obama needs to dispatch him to ribbon cutting ceremonies (if there are any new roads or bridges actually being built in the US), and making absolutely certain that he makes no comments whatsoever.

Panic in North Waziristan Over ‘Huge’ US Build-up Along Border

According to the residents, NATO troops including tanks, APCs and helicopter gunships have been setting up camps and checkpoints on the Afghan side of the border. Villagers have also reported seeing warplanes and helicopters flying overhead. Pakistani military officials confirmed having received reports about the build-up but were advising the tribesmen not to worry as international forces often establish a massive presence in a concentrated area for a short period then move on.

Webmaster's Commentary:

People who live in North Waziristan have every reason to be deeply concerned about this buildup, and what the outcome might be.

The US, in its drone strikes, have a tendency to kill a lot of civilians to perhaps get one or two of the alleged "bad guys" - who, many times, aren't even in the location they are supposed to be.

These armchair assassinations do nothing but destroy the lives of innocent people, radicalizing those left behind even further away from the government which permits this terror to be visited upon its own people.

British government urges Afghan talks with "moderate" Taliban

International Development Secretary Douglas Alexander told the BBC in an interview that it was becoming increasingly difficult for politicians to explain to the British people the 'tough message' of a rising death toll in Afghanistan.

'All of us have a responsibility not only to support our troops, but also make the case to the British people of reconciliation and reintegration,' Alexander said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Memo to British Secretary Alexander: what you are proposing is completely logical, and communications, coupled with Karzai's willingness to apply a sharp stick in the rear of Afghan government corruption, might be a great start here.

Unfortunately, logic and the current US administration (as it was with this administration's predecessor) do not have an ongoing relationship.

Had this been the case, we never would have gone to war in Afghanistan in the first place. The Bush administration and the oil companies would have paid what the Taliban had asked, and installed the pipelines. Mission accomplished.

However, somehow in the magical thinking of the knuckleheads who "planned" this military misadventure, a military campaign (with its cost in blood, human devastation, and money) was somehow "cheaper" than paying what the Taliban were asking.

One has to shake one's head at this decision, given the history of the region, and the fact that even after the defeat of the Soviet Union, which had roughly 500,000 pairs of boots on the ground, that these planners actually believed that they could win what was essentially a land war from the air.

It didn't happen in Viet Nam; it is certainly not going to happen in Afghanistan.

Obama Birth Certificate Issue Activism Discussion

Forget Aloof, Bernanke Goes Barnstorming

Ben S. Bernanke, the chairman of the Federal Reserve, is on a publicity campaign with a message: the central bank is here to help, and it is not as mysterious or menacing as people might think.

In a profound departure from the central bank’s tradition as an aloof and secretive temple of economic policy, Mr. Bernanke has plunged into the public spotlight to an extent that none of his predecessors would have contemplated.

Webmaster's Commentary:

For thinking Americans who understand that the Fed is no more "Federal" than Federal Express, this is an attempt to put lipstick on a pig.

As reported in:

"1. The Fed is privately owned.

Its shareholders are private banks. In fact, 100% of its shareholders are private banks. None of its stock is owned by the government."

"3. The Fed generates profits for its shareholders."

"The interest on bonds acquired with its newly-issued Federal Reserve Notes pays the Fed’s operating expenses plus a guaranteed 6% return to its banker shareholders. A mere 6% a year may not be considered a profit in the world of Wall Street high finance, but most businesses that manage to cover all their expenses and give their shareholders a guaranteed 6% return are considered "for profit" corporations."

"In addition to this guaranteed 6%, the banks will now be getting interest from the taxpayers on their "reserves." The basic reserve requirement set by the Federal Reserve is 10%. The website of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York explains that as money is redeposited and relent throughout the banking system, this 10% held in "reserve" can be fanned into ten times that sum in loans; that is, $10,000 in reserves becomes $100,000 in loans. Federal Reserve Statistical Release H.8 puts the total "loans and leases in bank credit" as of September 24, 2008 at $7,049 billion. Ten percent of that is $700 billion. That means we the taxpayers will be paying interest to the banks on at least $700 billion annually – this so that the banks can retain the reserves to accumulate interest on ten times that sum in loans."

"The banks earn these returns from the taxpayers for the privilege of having the banks’ interests protected by an all-powerful independent private central bank, even when those interests may be opposed to the taxpayers’ -- for example, when the banks use their special status as private money creators to fund speculative derivative schemes that threaten to collapse the U.S. economy. Among other special benefits, banks and other financial institutions (but not other corporations) can borrow at the low Fed funds rate of about 2%. They can then turn around and put this money into 30-year Treasury bonds at 4.5%, earning an immediate 2.5% from the taxpayers, just by virtue of their position as favored banks. A long list of banks (but not other corporations) is also now protected from the short selling that can crash the price of other stocks. "

Does the Old Testament foster corruption?

The recent arrest and indictment of several—19 according to one source—members of Orthodox Jewish communities in New York and New Jersey on racketeering, money-laundering and organ-smuggling charges reminds us that this is not the first time Orthodox Jews have allegedly engaged in financial and other crimes.

In 2007, the Grand Rabbi of the Spinka sect of Orthodox Judaism, also located in New York, was indicted on tax fraud and money laundering, along with "several other defendants and five Spinka charities," according to the Los Angeles Times. In March 2009, one of the co-conspirators in that case, Rabbi Moshe Zigelman, was sentenced to 24 months in prison for these crimes. Unfortunately, the list goes on, with rampant sexual abuse charges as well within these tight-knit communities.

The Washington Post endorses Abu Ghraib scapegoating for torture

"We reject the distorted interpretations that underpin the OLC memos and that serve as legal justification for harsh interrogation techniques that either border on or constitute torture. But those who relied on the memos and shaped their behavior in the good-faith belief that they were following the law should not be subject to prosecution. It is an entirely different story for those who went well beyond the often-extreme measures authorized by the memos."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Bull Biscuits! Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld should be in prison at the Hague and charged with war crimes.

But, of course, this will never happen because the embrace and institutionalization of torture has been embraced by a Democratic administration, which has absolutely no plans to prosecute the former administration for doing what they themselves are continuing at Gitmo, and other places around the world.

Please remember; recently, the International Red Cross asked for access to prisoners at Guantanamo, and were denied access.

If this administration has absolutely nothing to hide, why did it deny the IRC access here?!?

Rogue kidney brokers resell organs from poorest nations on black market

The arrest of a Brooklyn man Thursday on organ trafficking charges sheds a new spotlight on an underground business where wretchedly poor foreigners — particularly in India — are paid $2,000 to $10,000 for kidneys.

Those kidneys are ultimately sold for as much as $180,000 to transplant recipients who otherwise could die.

More than 80,000 Americans were waiting for kidney transplants as of last week, the United Network for Organ Sharing said.

The wait for a suitable legitimate donor is as long as three years, which drives many to the underground market, experts said.

Lungs for transplant are also available on the black market, but the vast majority of the organs in play are kidneys, they said.

US hopes for Iran nuclear response by September: Gates

Washington hopes Iran will respond to overtures on its nuclear drive by September, Defence Secretary Robert Gates said on Monday amid a US push to jumpstart stalled Middle East peacemaking.

Gates, one of three top US officials in the region this week, said on a visit to Jerusalem that Israel's long-term security and regional stability were ultimately dependent on a "sustainable comprehensive Middle East peace."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: SecDef Gates has been given his marching orders that if Iran doesn't comply with US and Israeli demands before the end of September, there will most probably be a military attack against Iran launched by Israel and/or the US.

Kucinich: the Federal Reserve is paying banks NOT to make loans to struggling Americans!

Jul 27 08:55

I had to read and reread that headline a dozen times before I realised that it was not Jews building on Palestinian land. But when you read the article and see which Jews are doing the protesting, you can understand the irony of it all….”They are taking over the land of Israel without permission, building on hilltops as you can see here to the right and to the left,” said Baruch Marzel, who is associated with the banned Kach movement. It should be noted that the ‘Jews’ involved in this protest live on illegal settlements built on Palestinian land.

Conyers calls for criminal investigation into Bush administration

The chairman of the House Judiciary Committee has called for both a criminal investigation and a blue-ribbon panel to look into "Bush administration abuses of power and misconduct."

Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) told the National Press Club Friday that both avenues should be pursued because a criminal investigation would be done in private, while a blue-ribbon "9/11-type" panel would work publicly and would create a public record of the Bush administration's actions.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Conyers has a very track record of making very bellicose claims about vowing to get to the truth about various issues, but somehow never quite gets there.

His subpoenas have been consistently ignored, and nothing has happened so far with many other investigations he has chaired. He never throws down a serious Contempt of Congress citation against those who ignore him.

This little performance for the National Press Club appears to be more sound and fury, signifying nothing, which, unfortunately, the American people have been accustomed to getting from Conyers.

US envoy calls on Arab states to improve Israel ties

US Middle East peace envoy George Mitchell called on Arab states on Monday to fully normalise ties with Israel, after meeting Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on the latest leg of a regional tour.

Mitchell told reporters after the talks that Washington was asking countries in the region to set the "context" for comprehensive peace negotiations between Israel and the Arab world.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Memo to George Mitchell: how the blazes can these countries ever normalize their relationship to Israel when Israel consistently views every one of its neighbors as continuing existential threats to Israel's existence, and acts like it?!?

The sabre-rattling in the Middle East generally comes from one direction and one direction and one direction only, and that is from Israel.

Sale of human organs in N.J. a worldwide scandal

The arrest of a Brooklyn man last Thursday for allegedly agreeing to broker the sale of a kidney for $160,000 has cast a spotlight on an international scandal even darker and more pervasive than the culture of political corruption in New Jersey.

Levy Izhak Rosenbaum described himself to an uncover FBI agent and a cooperating witness as a "matchmaker" who would arrange to hire a donor in Israel to come to the United States to donate a kidney in exchange for a $10,000 fee, according to a complaint filed by the U.S. Attorney.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The $10,000 fee was to the kidney donor. Rosenbaum himself charged $160,000 for his "matchmaking". And latest reports are that he has been doing this for ten years at least.

Lending slowdown in US: report

Leading US banks are not lending as much as bankers and borrowers refrain from taking risks in the uncertain economy, The Wall Street Journal reported.

An analysis by the Journal showed the total loans held by 15 large US banks shrank by 2.8 percent in the second quarter, and that more than half of the loan volume in April and May came from refinancing mortgages and renewing credit to businesses and not fresh loans.

Webmaster's Commentary:

With many of the "taxpayer bailed out banks" having jacked their interest rates up astronomically, who wants to use credit or credit cards unless there is absolutely no other way to handle financial issues??

Errol Flynn was a Nazi spy, says author

The British-born Higham is the author of a 1980 biography of Flynn that accuses the swashbuckling Tasmanian-born screen legend of espionage for the Nazis before and during World War II and of having a secret meeting with Adolf Hitler in Berchtesgaden in the German Alps in the spring of 1938.

While subsequent Flynn biographers have dismissed the claims as baseless, Higham, 78, remains unrepentant.

US on verge of closing anthrax probe after 8 years

Webmaster's Commentary:

The probe is not closed until the FBI investigates WHY Dr. Philip Zack entered the laboratory where the strain of anthrax used in the letters was kept, without authorization and after losing his job over a racially-motivated attack on an Egyptian co-worker!

And why Dr. Barbara Rosenberg worked so hard to point the FBI at Dr. Stephen Hatfill.

And who really thinks that Bruce Ivins, a well-trained biochemist, would commit suicide using Acetaminophen, when there were so many quicker and less painful ways available to do himself in?

FDR Chickened Out from Making REAL Economic Reform

Americans are taught that Franklin Delano Roosevelt instituted massive economic reforms and regulations which tamed the banking hooligans.

True, FDR helped pass a boatload of legislation, including Glass-Steagal and many other laws which helped reign in some of the worst abuses of the robber barons of the day.

But Ellen Brown points out that FDR chickened out from making the most important, most fundamental reform: taking the power to create credit and "print" new money away from the private banksters and give it back to the federal government, as the founding fathers intended.

"We Don't Convict Beakers in this Country. We Prosecute, Convict or Acquit Human Beings"

You've heard that the FBI is paying scientists to study their novel theory linking Ivins with the killer anthrax.

But you may have forgotten that the FBI is simply trying to link the anthrax strain in Ivins' lab to the white powder used in the attacks. The FBI is not trying to rule out the hundreds of other people who had access to the exact same strain.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The FBI is still trying to prove that Bruce Ivans was the Anthrax killer (after failing to frame two other gentleman). Ivins' convenient death prevents him from clearing his name and the FBI is trying to claim the case is solved and closed. Even the National Geographic Channel was running a show yesterday claiming that whether or not Ivins was guilty, the motive for the crime was to stimulate national defense against bio-attack, totally forgetting the obviously fake letters attempting to frame Arabs for the crimes.

In the end, the fact remains that there is a real suspect in the anthrax letters, a scientist caught on the security system entering the lab where the strain of anthrax used in the letters was stored, without authorization and after losing his job over a racially-motivated attack on an Egyptian co-worker!

The FBI has gone out of their way to not investigate this most obvious lead.

How Wired Gadgets Encroach on Privacy

With every high-tech gadget we buy, we give up a little more privacy. Many devices today are in constant communication with their manufacturer. And it's not just consumers who are losing their rights -- the technology gives authoritarian states whole new ways of keeping tabs on individuals.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Consumer rights are being trampled here. Capabilities and features we have already paid for are being deleted from our devices by court order and we the purchasers seem to have no recourse.

We have reached a stage where we cannot trust that the device we buy will keep working as it did when we got it. Never mind outright technical failures, the software that came with the device can be altered remotely at will and without our permission.

The IP debacle has reached a ridiculous stage when lawyers are fighting inside our smart phones and we the people pay the price.

Will Iran Be Another Iraq?

19 years ago, on October 10th 1990 the televised hearings of conjectural Iraqi atrocities against the people of Kuwait, featuring a very emotional testimony from a young Kuwaiti girl who tells a heart-wrenching tale of Iraqi soldiers murdering Kuwaiti babies in incubators, stimulates an cataclysm among lawmakers and members of the United States public.

This was in 1990 and now here we are almost 20 years later with United States troops now occupying Iraq for over 6 years.
American and Iraqi epidemiologists estimated in 2006 that over 655,000 people have died due to the 2003 invasion led by United States forces.

Now we turn to 2009.

Startling New Evidence That The 'Swine Flu' Pandemic Is Man-Made

The criminal timeline begins in 1997, when Dr. Jeffrey Taubenberger assembled a team of geneticists and microbiologists to analyze the genome structure, and then to REPRODUCE (i.e. reverse engineer) what is arguably one of the most deadly viral structures the world has ever been cursed with the 1918 killer flu virus. According to numerous published stories and reports, Taubenberger and his team utilized super-computers to map the complex RNA and DNA structures of the killer virus, then utilized human plasmids to successfully re-create the 1918 killer. Taubenberger completed his work in early 2005, then immediately left the employ of the U.S. Army at Ft. Detrick to take a much more lucrative position with the National Institutes of Health.

The Zionist Gang that Bankrupted General Motors

General Motors did not simply collapse as a result of market forces; it was bankrupted by corporate raiders who had infiltrated the company and taken control of its finances.

Likewise, the evidence indicates that the twin towers of the World Trade Center did not collapse due to the stresses associated with the plane crashes; they were prepared in advance to be demolished using extremely powerful explosives, including tons of nano-thermite, or super-thermite.

This was facilitated by the people who had obtained control of the towers shortly before 9-11, namely Larry Silverstein and the former Israeli commando Frank Lowy.

Climate change helped the Incas build civilisation

New research has revealed that a prolonged period of warm weather between AD1100 and 1533 cleared large areas of mountain land to be used for farming, helping the Incas to spread their influence from Colombia to the central plains of Chile.

With the tree line moving steadily higher up the mountains, the Incas carved terraces into the mountainside to grow potatoes and maize, and developed a system of canals to irrigate the land.

The climate remained dry but melting glacial ice provided a constant supply of water, resulting in a surplus of crops to feed the population.

Harvest of Corruption: The Shame of the Scandal in New Jersey

he New York Post, in its characteristically pithy bad taste, has already dubbed the arrest of several prominent Brooklyn and New Jersey rabbis last week the case of the "kosher nostra." It is an ugly story, and not just how the Post tells it: alleged corruption among ultra-Orthodox leadership in the form of money laundering through charities and, even worse, strong-armed trafficking in human organs. Not two years after the breaking of the Agriprocessors scandal, we have another searing example of immorality dressed in the garb of Jewish piety, complete with all of the cringe-inducing stereotypical overtones. Yes, it’s a full-blown shande far di goyim—a scandal in front of the non-Jewish world.

Is Illinois the most corrupt state?

Sure, we've had two consecutive governors, an army of alderman and a posse of political fund-raisers under indictment -- not to mention two current members of Congress facing ethics inquiries.

But in New Jersey last week, 44 people, including three mayors, two state lawmakers and a slew of rabbis were rounded up in a corruption scheme replete with allegations of organ sales, $97,000 stuffed into a cereal box and plenty of good, old-fashioned bribes.

There were so many arrestees, the FBI had to herd them onto a bus.

Well, New Jersey may be trying to outshine us, but if the sleaze factor is gauged by FBI resources, Chicago isn't slipping.
