Netanyahu: Palestinian refugees must never return to their homes

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged Palestinians to give up the right of return to their homes in what is now Israel as a precondition for a future peace deal. Speaking on Sunday evening at a ceremony marking the 105th anniversary of the death of Zionist leader Theodore Herzl, Netanyahu said "They [Palestinians] must abandon their demand to settle the descendents of Palestinian refugees in Israel and gradually 'eat away' at the State of Israel after a peace agreement is signed," according to Israel's Ynet news website.

In 1948, Jewish and Israeli forces expelled more than 726,000 Palestinians from their homes in the land on which the Israeli state was declared, according to United Nations figures. Today, Palestine refugees and their descendants are some 5.5 million people.

Climate change measures will cause rise in fuel bills says minister

Households will be forced to install a range of green energy measures over the next decade to avoid a massive hike in fuel bills.

Ed Miliband, the Energy and Climate Change Secretary, is today (Wed) expected to announce a raft of new legislation to help the UK meet ambitious climate change targets to cut carbon emissions.

The biggest investment will be in power, with more renewables like wind farms and a new generation of nuclear power stations replacing "dirty" but cheap fossil fuels like gas and coal.

However the cost to energy companies will be passed on to the consumer and bills are expected to go up by as much as £230 per annum, prompting concerns about fuel poverty.

Climate Bill Spells “skyrocketing” Energy Rates, Unemployment, Less Freedom

In a famous interview with editors of the San Francisco Chronicle (Jan. 17, 2008), then-Senator Obama admitted the price of electricity would go up. Way up. In his words:

“Under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket … because I’m capping greenhouse gases -- coal power plants, natural gas, you name it -- whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money; they will pass that [cost] on to consumers.”

Court knew man jailed for a year for non-support was not child's father

Frank Hatley has languished in a South Georgia jail for more than a year.

Iran could have atomic bomb within 6 months – report

Germany’s BND foreign intelligence agency believes Iran is capable of producing and testing an atomic bomb within six months, much sooner than most analysts estimate, according to a report in German weekly Stern.

The report, which quotes BND experts, says the agency has information supporting the view that Iran has mastered the enrichment technology necessary to make a bomb and has enough centrifuges to make weaponised uranium.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Needless to say, the BND has already denied making any such comments. This is just another case of Israeli and US propagandists in the media, in this case Reuter's, simply making stuff up.

Goldman Announces Record Profit and Bonuses. So Much for Financial Reform and an End to Greed on Wall Street

"Greed is Good," Gordon Gekko, "Wall Street" (1987)

Well, greed is not only good, apparently, it's back, and more ravenous than ever. On Tuesday the venerable Wall Street investment bank Goldman Sachs announced an astonishing $3.4-billion quarterly profit, it's best ever in its 140-year history. It also announced that it's allocated a whopping $11.4 billion towards executive bonuses. So, just a few months after being bailed out by the U.S. Government and after much public and congressional excoriation over its high-risk trading and excessive compensation practices, this year's bonuses could match or beat the highest ever, while bringing Goldman back into the dicey mortgage and credit game.

Bush was a de facto president and he had two terms in office. The difference here is that the military never revoked any deployment orders under Bush because of questions about his illegal presidency.

It would appear to me that the situation in the U.S. just became much more dangerous and unpredictable because, with this case, the mask is off.

‘Government Sachs’ Strikes Gold ... Again

Connect the dots: Goldman Sachs made $3.44 billion in profit this past quarter, while the U.S deficit topped $1 trillion for the first time in the nation’s history and appeared to be headed toward doubling that figure before the budget year is out. Since most of the increase in the federal deficit is due to bailing out the banks and salvaging the greater economy they helped destroy, why is the top investment bank doing so well?

Well, because that was the plan, as devised by Bush Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, a former CEO of Goldman Sachs.

"9/11 Truth" and its role in the game

In April of last year I wrote an article that questioned the motives of a UN official who went public calling for a new investigation into the "neocons' role in 9/11." The person I am referring to is Richard Falk, who, as I stated in the aforementioned article, is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations as well as the World Federalist Society. Richard Falk was also a leading contributor to the globalist World Order Models Project, financed by the Rockefeller Foundation and Carnegie Endowment in the 1970's, which was a report that suggested "strategies of transition" into a new global era. On top of this, Falk has published numerous books with titles such as Toward a Just World Order (1982) and The United Nations and a Just World Order (1991), calling for global governance.

Mandatory Swine Flu Vaccination Alert

It's crucial to understand that these vaccines are experimental, untested, toxic and extremely dangerous to the human immune system. They contain squalene-based adjuvants that cause a host of annoying to life-threatening autoimmune diseases. They must be avoided, even if mandated. It's also known that vaccines don't protect against diseases they're designed to prevent and often cause them. They should be banned but proliferate anyway because they're so profitable, and if globally mandated to the greatest extent ever.

Taliban leader Mullah Omar is now the focus of attention, with the Pakistan military reportedly saying that it is prepared to act as a middleman to help the administration of United States President Barack Obama in a "new diplomatic overture to find an end to the long-running conflict" in Afghanistan.

Mullah Omar, however, is not believed to be in any mood to talk. Over the past few months, he has consolidated his grip over the various scattered but powerful resistance groups across Afghanistan and in Pakistan's tribal areas. His ultimate objective, as it has been since the Taliban were ousted in the US-led invasion of 2001, is for military victory against foreign forces.

After 9-11, with the knowledge I had of the bitter internal dispute inside the FBI that was being hushed up but had kept some of our better agents from possibly uncovering more of the 9-11 plot before it happened, I couldn’t forget two of the slides in that Law Enforcement ethics curriculum: “DO NOT: Puff, Shade, Tailor, Firm up, Stretch, Massage, or Tidy up statements of fact.” And “Misplaced Loyalties: As employees of the FBI, we must be aware that our highest loyalty is to the United States Constitution. We should never sacrifice the truth in order to obtain a desired result (e.g. conviction of a defendant) or to avoid personal or institutional embarrassment.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

YOU TUBE has removed this video. What it showed was a video of a couple having sex in what they thought were private circumstances. The video was shot using the infra-red cameras of a US military helicopter, which we who paid for it all would hope is used to protect the nation against enemies, not spy on people just having some fun.

Now, just what "terms of use" were violated is unclear as the video did not actually show all that much. A quick search of YouTube shows far more explicit videos are available, so I think what YouTube is saying is that it is okay for the US Government to spy on your sex life using all that taxpayer paid for equipment, but you're not supposed to know about it.

Selfish Arabs:Might,Mindset & Misconduct

If one was to take a look at the global events transpiring most rapidly, from America to Africa and beyond, we can only hang our heads in shame and disgust for what has become of humanity.

To put it bluntly, there is no humanity.

The rules of triadic interaction have left nothing but total destruction and humility at the price of decency, honor and justice – nothing positive has come from the idea that one should strike at a serpents head with the hand of your enemy.

The Catholic Church and Palestine

It´s my opinion, that we live in times of severe crisis, and that we, religious and secular people, alike will have to find some common ground, from which we together struggle against a terrible inhuman system, which is threatening to draw as all into the catastrophe of a new World War. Whatever divides us at this moment cannot be so big, that it justifies us to fight and hate one another, while our whole world is about to go down the drains.

'The Select Few' Are Cashing in: Shocking Corruption at the Washington Post

If you want to know what really matters in Washington, don't go to Capitol Hill for one of those hearings, or pay attention to those staged White House "town meetings." They're just for show. What really happens -- the serious business of Washington -- happens in the shadows, out of sight, off the record. Only occasionally -- and usually only because someone high up stumbles -- do we get a glimpse of just how pervasive the corruption has become.

Case in point: Katharine Weymouth, the publisher of The Washington Post -- one of the most powerful people in DC -- invited top officials from the White House, the Cabinet and Congress to her home for an intimate, off-the-record dinner to discuss health care reform with some of her reporters and editors covering the story.

The British Health Care System

Horror stories of incompetent doctors, negligent hospitals and unapproved drugs waiting idle for the bureaucrats to give them their blessing do not help; I'm sure you have those stories too. But in a country where anything short of criminal negligence is acceptable, where gross incompetance leads only to transfer to another region, where the doctor gets paid according to the number of patients in his area not the amount of work he does, you can imagine that while people say "the NHS is the greatest part of the Welfare State and the great success of post-war socialism," they also say that the system is in crisis, that it cannot go on like this.

Neocon Rodeo

Imagine this headline "George Bush arrested and extradited to the Hague for crimes against humanity." Upon further reading, "Prosecutors say George Bush is allegedly guilty of mass murder for the atrocities of 911 where over 3000 innocent people were murdered." One would think, "justice is served," but lets take a journey down this phantasmal path and weigh the ramifications of this price of corruption.
