Olympic women's 800m champion Caster Semenya should be classed as 'biologically male', lawyers to tell court

Lawyers for the International Association of Athletics Federations will tell a court Olympic women's 800m champion Caster Semenya should be classed as a "biological male" who identifies as female next week.

While the IAAF will argue the 28-year-old South African should be classed as "biologically male" they will also suggest Semenya be allowed to compete in women's races if she takes testosterone suppressants, The Times reports.

The issue will be addressed in a five-day hearing at the Court of Arbitration of Sport seen as a landmark case surrounding athletes with differences of sexual development (DSD).

We are now living in a “Dark Age” of internet censorship due to dishonest tech giants

What was once a free and open web of information, much of the internet has since been deconstructed into a Leftist “utopia” of rampant censorship and mind control, warns Dennis Prager of PragerU – so much so, in fact, that we’ve now entered a “dark age” of near-total Leftist propaganda online, he says.

GINSBURG’S HEALTH RAISES FRIGHTENING HISTORY OF INCAPACITY AND DISABILITY ON THE SUPREME COURT

Fervid speculation as to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s well-being was set off in December when the Supreme Court abruptly announced that she was being treated for lung cancer.

Though a positive prognosis has since allayed the worst fears of Ginsburg’s admirers, her continued struggles broach important but little-discussed questions about judicial fitness in an era when unprecedented longevity often entails sudden declines in mental and physical faculties.

Those questions are hardly theoretical: The modern history of the Supreme Court is replete with examples of real or perceived incapacity among the justices, who alone decide when to leave active service.

East German-Style Gun Confiscation Orders (“Red-Flag Laws”) Coming to Wisconsin

The idea behind these dangerous new gun laws is that someone reports you, or “red flags” you to the government. The World’s Most Dangerous Nuclear Weapon Just Rolled Off the Assembly Line

Last month, the National Nuclear Security Administration (formerly the Atomic Energy Commission) announced that the first of a new generation of strategic nuclear weapons had rolled off the assembly line at its Pantex nuclear weapons plant in the panhandle of Texas. That warhead, the W76-2, is designed to be fitted to a submarine-launched Trident missile, a weapon with a range of more than 7,500 miles. By September, an undisclosed number of warheads will be delivered to the Navy for deployment.

Mars Rover Opportunity Is Dead After Record-Breaking 15 Years on Red Planet

NASA declared its Opportunity Mars rover dead today (Feb. 13), more than eight months after the solar-powered robot went silent during a raging dust storm on the Red Planet — and a day after the final calls to wake Oppy up went unanswered.

"I declare the Opportunity mission as complete, and with it the Mars Exploration Rover mission complete," Thomas Zurbuchen, associate administrator of NASA's Science Mission Directorate, said today during an event at the agency's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, California. [Mars Dust Storm 2018: What It Means for Opportunity Rover]

Opportunity roamed the Martian surface for nearly a decade and a half, covering more than a marathon's worth of ground and finding conclusive evidence that the Red Planet hosted large bodies of liquid water in the ancient past. The golf-cart-size rover and its twin, Spirit, also helped bring Mars down to Earth, in the minds of scientists and laypeople alike.

Israel and Arab nations discuss 'common interests of war with Iran' - Netanyahu

Israel and Arab countries are in talks “in order to advance the common interest of war with Iran”, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said, although the translation from Hebrew was later downgrade to mere “struggle.”
The promise of a major conflict in the Middle East was floated by the Israeli leader during his trip to Warsaw.

“From here I am going to a meeting with 60 foreign ministers and envoys of countries from around the world against Iran,” Netanyahu said as quoted by Jerusalem Post.

Ted Cruz Revives ‘EL CHAPO’ Bill to Pay for Border Wall

Following the conviction of Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman in a New York federal court on Tuesday, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) revived his call to pay for border wall construction with the assets seized from drug traffickers. The Texas senator first introduced the “EL CHAPO” Act in 2017.

“America’s justice system prevailed today in convicting Joaquín Guzmán Loera, aka El Chapo, on all 10 counts,” Senator Cruz said in a tweet on Tuesday. He said that prosecutors are seeking the seizure of $14 billion in “drug profits and other assets” from the jailed drug lord and that those funds should go toward building the border wall.

Trump’s Border Wall Is Currently Being Built

I checked in with agents at the Rio Grande Valley border sector to see if they knew what new “wall” Trump was talking about. They sent me information on construction for new border barrier announced last year. The project funds six miles-worth of concrete and steel barrier of the sort that agents told me in January is immensely successful in deterring illegal border crossings.
The wall will be supplemented by “detection technology, lighting, video surveillance, and an all-weather patrol road parallel” to the barrier, according to a release sent out by the CBP in November.

DOJ’s Rosenstein Doles Out $24 Million in Hush Money for Las Vegas Massacre Cops & ‘Victims’ after FED Cover-Up

Rod Rosenstein has been doling out over $24 million in taxpayer funds to state bureaucrats in Nevada and California under the guise of ‘helping’ the victims of the Mandalay Bay massacre shooting.

Today he announced a new award of over $8 million to assist victims in California but the funds, like a previous $16 million Nevada, do not go directly to the victims. It goes to law enforcement and state boards who can give it to victims — or anyone else — they see fit.

Sounds legit.

This is the old bait and switch and the real victims end up on the short end again, after being gunned down. Even worse news for families who lost loved ones.

With the way the FBI led the cover-up of the investigation into the Las Vegas shooting, this also reeks of hush money payouts to co-conspirators. A reward to feckless and corrupt law enforcement agencies like The Metro Police in Las Vegas.

Netanyahu: Meetings in Warsaw With Arab Leaders to Combat Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday, in what could be a possible gaffe, that his meetings with Arab leaders in Poland are "in order to advance the common interest of combating Iran."

The comments were made to reporters on the sidelines of the Warsaw Middle East ministerial following Netanyahu's meeting with the Sultanate of Oman's Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Yusuf bin Alawi.

"Here I am going to a meeting with 60 foreign ministers and envoys of countries from around the world against Iran," Netanyahu said. "What is important about this meeting—and this meeting is not in secret, because there are many of those—is that this is an open meeting with representatives of leading Arab countries, that are sitting down together with Israel in order to advance the common interest of combating Iran."

The Suffering of the Iranian People Has “Made in USA” Stamped on It

Iranians have taken to the streets across the country to mark the 40th anniversary of the 1979 revolution,” reads a Monday morning Al Jazeera report, “renewing their allegiance to the country’s Islamic principles at a time of rising economic and political pressure amid the resumption of punishing US sanctions.”

So much terrible history rammed into one sentence: The brutal U.S.-backed regime of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi; the 1979 revolution and the 444-day hostage crisis that roiled the 1980 presidential election; four decades of turmoil, sanctions, secret deals and Cold War manipulation; a ray of hope after the Obama administration’s nuclear deal with Iran that was slapped down by the Trump administration; a return to ruinous sanctions; and, as ever over these 40 years, a looming threat of war.

FEC Still Refuses To Investigate Alleged $84 Million Clinton Campaign Money Laundering

Tuesday evening the Committee to Defend the President (CDP) filed a motion in a D.C. federal court seeking to supplement the complaint it had filed against the Federal Election Committee (FEC) in April 2018. In its original complaint, the CDP alleged that the agency responsible for enforcing campaign-finance law failed to act on an administrative complaint the CDP had filed with the FEC. That complaint charged that, during the 2016 presidential election, Democrats illegally funneled approximately $84 million through the Hillary Victory Fund to the Democratic National Committee (DNC), which then illegally coordinated with the Hillary Clinton campaign.

To understand the alleged scheme requires familiarity with controlling campaign-finance law and campaign contribution limits.

AT LEAST 70 CIVILIANS KILLED AS US COALITION POUNDS SYRIAN VILLAGE - REPORTS

Syrian media have repeatedly reported on US-led coalition strikes, which have led to countless civilian casualties and damage to crucial infrastructure in the Arab Republic. The coalition has been bombing targets in Syria since 2014 despite never obtaining a UN mandate and not obtaining Damascus’ approval.

At least 70 civilians were killed or wounded as a result of air strikes launched by a US-led international coalition on the Syrian village of Baghuz in the south-east of the country, Syria state television reported, citing local sources.

Syrian media have continually reported on the death of civilians which were killed in US-led coalition strikes. The coalition regularly carries out airstrikes in Deir ez-Zor region.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, I love my country, but abhor its current leadership. And as a Christian Pacifist Activist, never advocate for violence.

And this is why, as completely and intelligently as possible, I have to channel my upset about these policies which create these endless wars, into articles which, hopefully and peacefully, will get other people reading and thinking about this, and talking to their alleged Congressional Representatives, as to why this country is bound up in so many military conflicts on this planet?

Is it because, in the long run, it is cheaper to destroy potential economic rivals than learn to compete against them?!?

Unfortunately, Mr. President, I am afraid that this is the path that the US Deep State - and the corporations they represent - have enforced upon you.

President Trump, you are so on the wrong side of history, to still be authorizing bombing strikes in Syria, and abetting and aiding the Saudis in their genocide of Yemen, I hardly know where to begin.

And where the hell is Congress on these immoral, unstoppable wars which, according to our Constitution, can only exist if Congress approves of them, and which, in the cases of both Syria and Yemen, they did not approve of these wars.

Your campaign rhetoric bears absolutely zero relationship with your actions of the last couple of years you have been in office.

Have you been subsumed by the mechanism of the American Deep State, that you are no longer running the country, but they are, and sometimes, in direct contradiction to what you have said is happening, or will happen?

Mr. President, color me very concerned about your foreign policy trajectory,
which could lead to a world war and total devastation of this planet.

Senate Intelligence Committee: No Evidence of Collusion Between Trump Campaign and Russia

Republicans and Democrats report that the Senate Intelligence Committee has been unable to find any evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

The revelation comes after two years of investigations involving over 200 interviews.

While members of the political parties disagree on an ill-defined and so-called “pattern of contacts,” what is indisputable is that both sides concur that there remains “no direct evidence of a conspiracy.”

Democratic Senate investigators who spoke with NBC News did not dispute an assessment made by Chairman of the Committee, Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) last week.

“If we write a report based upon the facts that we have, then we don’t have anything that would suggest there was collusion by the Trump campaign and Russia,” Burr said in an interview with CBS News last week.

Women sue Yale to gender-integrate fraternities

Three undergraduate students are suing Yale University and fraternities at the university to force the fraternities to “gender-integrate.”

The suit’s plaintiffs, students Anna McNeil, Eliana Singer and Ry Walker, “believed that the most direct route to prevent sexual harassment and assault—and to challenge the gender disparities in social clout and economic opportunity perpetuated by fraternities—was to integrate Yale’s fraternities by gender,” according to the suit’s complaint, which was published in-full by The New York Times.

All three women said in court that they were groped at fraternity parties their first semester at Yale and know many other women and gender-nonbinary students who were sexually harassed and assaulted at fraternity parties and by fraternity members.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Oh yeah, so let's have the women actually move into the fraternities. THAT will solve the problem!

Medical Expenses Contribute To Two-Thirds Of Bankruptcy Filings In U.S.

For many Americans, putting one’s health first can mean putting one’s financial status at risk. A study of bankruptcy filings in the United States showed that 66.5% were due, at least in part, to medical expenses.

The study, led by Dr. David Himmelstein, Distinguished Professor at the City University of New York’s (CUNY) Hunter College and Lecturer at Harvard Medical School, indicates that about 530,000 families each year are financially ruined by medical bills and sicknesses. It’s the first research of its kind to link medical expenses and bankruptcy since the passage of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in 2010.

“Unless you’re Bill Gates, you’re just one serious illness away from bankruptcy,” Himmelstein says in a release by the Physicians for a National Health Program. “For middle-class Americans, health insurance offers little protection. Most of us have policies with so many loopholes, copayments and deductibles that illness can put you in the poorhouse.”

Watch MSNBC Host Squirm During Live Update On "No Collusion" Intel Committee News

We knew this day was coming, but watching an MSNBC anchor and guest pundits squirm during a live Tuesday morning update in which NBC News intelligence and national security correspondent, Ken Dilanian, read aloud that the Senate Intelligence Committee admits it has found “no direct evidence” of collusion between President Trump and Russia, is a segment that itself perhaps belongs to the history books.

Mediaite described of the "stunned" MSNBC host's demeanor: "The report met surprise first, then skepticism, with Jackson and her guests." CLICKING ON TERRORIST PROPAGANDA EVEN ONCE COULD MEAN 15 YEARS IN PRISON UNDER NEW LAW

Anyone who views terrorist propaganda once online can be jailed for up to 15 years under new laws that have sparked human rights concerns.

MPs had urged the government to scrap plans to criminalise viewing “information useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism”, which goes further than much-used laws that made physically collecting, downloading or disseminating the material illegal.

A United Nations inspector accused the government of straying towards “thought crime” with the proposal, which originally stated that people would have to access propaganda “on three or more different occasions” to commit a terror offence.

But the benchmark was removed from the draft law, meaning a single click is now illegal.

Journalists, academic researchers or people who had “no reason to believe” they were accessing terrorist propaganda are exempt.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What about Christian pacifist activists, like myself, or born-again atheists like my husband Mike?!?

When does getting the truth out there, as best documented as one can, become a "thought crime"?!?!?

And to the MPs who ever began to think that this law was a "great idea", I have a spoiler for you; George Orwell's "1984" was a cautionary tale; not a bloody "how-to" manual!!

McConnell Says Senate Will Vote On Ocasio-Cortez's "Green New Deal"

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell just lobbed what we imagine will be the first of many stink bombs into the 2020 Democratic primary.

During a news conference on Tuesday where he was flanked by fellow Senate Republican, McConnell revealed that he plans to call a vote on the Green New Deal bill proposed by NYC Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey, a plan that, as we have noted, is filled with extreme proposals like rebuilding every building in the US, and weaning the US off all carbon-based forms of energy within 10 years.

While the plan doesn't have a prayer of passing in the Republican majority Senate, McConnell's intentions should be clear to any avid follower of US politics. Now that no fewer than five Democratic Senators have announced their 2020 campaigns, McConnell is going to force them to make a choice with potentially major consequences down the line:

The threat is often associated with a specific deviant group or identity. These are the “folk devils” of Cohen’s title.

China Rejects US Media Reports About Talks With Venezuelan Opposition as False

US media reports about Beijing holding talks with the Venezuelan opposition to protect its investment and ensure Caracas will pay on its debts are false and unprofessional, with a US newspaper having failed to wait for a response to its request for Beijing's comment, the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s spokeswoman said on Wednesday.

"The Wall Street Journal published this material yesterday at 2 p.m. [Eastern Time, 19:00 GMT], while we were preparing a response [to their request]. It is not very constructive and [actually] unprofessional. In fact, this is a false message, it's fake," Hua Chunying said.

Rep. Omar Labeled Anti-Semitic for Pointing Out the Problematic Role of AIPAC

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) apologized this afternoon for what many saw as anti-Semitic comments discussing links between AIPAC, as well as other Zionist lobbying efforts and money, and American policy output. She quote tweeted journalist and Intercept co-founding editor Glenn Greenwald, who said: "GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy threatens punishment for @IlhanMN and @RashidaTlaib over their criticisms of Israel. It's stunning how much time US political leaders spend defending a foreign nation even if it means attacking free speech rights of Americans," and she added that McCarthy's motives were "all about the Benjamins." "We operate every day, including yesterday, against Iran and its attempts to entrench itself in the region," Netanyahu said as he was about to depart to the Middle East conference in Warsaw, Poland on Tuesday, confirming a Monday attack on Syria's southern Quneitra province.

Bigotry & xenophobia about ‘the Russians’ is the only kind PC culture allows

Corruption is in the Russian DNA. Sharing is not a Russian trait. The Russians are genetically driven to lie. In an increasingly politically-correct media landscape, “the Russians” are still fair game.

The three statements above have been made with various alterations by journalists, expert analysts, and US officials in recent years — and each time, the overt xenophobia within them flies almost completely under the radar, in a media culture which is otherwise hyper-vigilant of real or perceived slights against any one group of people. The Russians, however, are an exception. Their very existence offers a convenient outlet for pent-up hateful, racist, and xenophobic rage.

Go on, try it. I promise, you can say nearly anything you want about the Ruskies without any repercussions at all.

Winter storm bears down on upper Midwest and Northeast, cancelling 2,000 flights and leaving at least 100,000 without power

A major winter storm is moving from the upper Midwest into the Northeast, causing significant travel impacts and the possibility of power disruptions.

On Tuesday morning, the leading edge of the storm hit New York City, where two to four inches of snow are forecast before the storm turns into a messy mix of ice and rain around midday.

'The potential exists for 6 to 12 inches of snow from northern Wisconsin to northern Michigan, and even higher amounts across upstate New York and northern New England with 12 to 18 inches possible,' the National Weather Service said in a flash bulletin on Tuesday.

VENEZUELAN OPPOSITION RECEIVES FIRST BLOCKED AID SHIPMENTS IN DEFIANCE OF MADURO

As part of the continued jostling over the contentious issue of the US intent to deliver foreign aid to Venezuela, which embattled president Nicolas Maduro has controversially banned — going so far as to post troops along potential border access points — opposition leader Juan Guaido announced on Monday that his team had received its first shipment of external humanitarian aid cargo, yet he didn't specify how it was received or which country or organization was the source.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And one could not help but notice who President Trump had as guests at the White House this morning: Columbia's President Iván Duque Márquez, and his wife, María Juliana Ruiz Sandoval.

Most likely, if in fact this aid came from the US, the supply lines are well and truly carved out in Colombia, and Marquez and President Trump will be figuring out the next political and military steps which must be taken to "regime change" Venezuela to their liking.

Of course, what the Venezuelan people have to say about this, is nothing over which they will expend any skull-sweat whatsoever.

Trump's pick for Brett Kavanaugh's old judgeship apologizes for writing in college that date rape victims share responsibility for their own sexual assaults

Neomi Rao, President Donald Trump's nominee for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh's now-open federal court seat, apologized for columns she wrote as a Yale University student that said date rape victims share responsibility for their assault.

'Sexual assault in all forms, including date rape, is abhorrent. Responsibility for the rape is with the rapist. I believed that as a college student and continue to believe that today,' she wrote in a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee, CNN reported. 'As a society, we should create an environment where survivors feel empowered and comfortable coming forward. I am sorry for anything in my college writings to the contrary.'

During her confirmation hearing last week, Rao told senators she cringes at some of the language used as a college student when writing about controversial topics such as sexual assault, race and equal rights for women.

Embattled Virginia governor plans statewide 'listening tour' to argue he should keep his job despite blackface scandal

Embattled Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam is planning a 'listening tour' to meet with citizens in his commonwealth as his 'blackface' scandal continues and he vowed to remain in his post.

Northam has resisted calls from powerful lawmakers in both parties to step down, after Northam's page on his 1984 medical school yearbook was revealed to show a man in blackface.

His repeatedly stumbles in his response to scandal have led to further calls for his resignation – although the conundrum for Virginia Democrats became even more complicated after Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax faced allegations from a woman claiming he assaulted her and another claiming rape. Fairfax denies the charges.

California Governor Gavin Newsom Cancels High-speed Rail: ‘Would Cost Too Much and Take Too Long’

California Governor Gavin Newsom announced Tuesday in his “State of the State” address at the California State Capitol in Sacramento that he would abandon the state’s high-speed rail system because it was too expensive.

The plan to connect San Francisco to Los Angeles by high-speed rail “would cost too much and, respectfully, would take too long,” he told legislators. He said the state would still build a portion of the system under construction in the rural Central Valley, denying that it would be a “train to nowhere.” He said the state would not send $3.5 billion back to the federal government to be spent by President Donald Trump.

But Newsom said the state could not afford the total cost — even with what he noted was a “record-breaking surplus” in the state’s coffers, thanks to the ongoing economic recovery.

Activision Blizzard cuts nearly 800 jobs amid ‘record results in 2018’

Activision Blizzard has announced that it’s laying off 8 percent of its employees — roughly 770 people — as part of the company “de-prioritizing initiatives that are not meeting expectations.”

The news came on the heels of announcement of Activision Blizzard’s Q4 and 2018 earnings, where CEO Bobby Kotick gave the company’s “record results in 2018.” Kotick went on to comment that, “While our financial results for 2018 were the best in our history, we didn’t realize our full potential.”

As such, Activision Blizzard says that it’ll be focusing more on its biggest franchises: Call of Duty, Candy Crush, Overwatch, Warcraft, Hearthstone, and Diablo, with plans to increase developers across those titles by “approximately 20% over the course of 2019.” (Destiny, another one of Activision’s marquee titles, parted ways with the publisher in January and is now back in the hands of developer Bungie.)

HERE'S A LIST OF THE 31 NATIONAL EMERGENCIES THAT HAVE BEEN IN EFFECT FOR YEARS

According to the Federal Register, 58 national emergencies have been declared since the National Emergency Act of 1976 was signed into law by President Gerald Ford.

And 31 have been annually renewed and are currently still in effect, as listed in the Federal Register.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The questions I would like to ask are, why these 31 Emergency Declarations have not been removed, and what threats do these situations still create, that they have to stay renewed?!?

I am sorry, but must confess that, from my perspective, it is US Foreign policy is which is creating enemies where it should be creating friendships and alliances.

Folks, we have been trading with Vietnam for a long time Clinton presidency normalizes relations with Vietnam

So what about relations with Cuba, please?!?

Mike and I know a police officer from Canada, who, when he needed surgery to get his knees replaced, was sent to Cuba, as these doctors and medical teams here, have one of the most stellar track records for shorter recuperations, and good surgical outcomes.

Why cannot Americans take advantage of this?!?

Why cannot there be cultural, educational exchanges, so Cuban kids could get a dose of (healthy, not exploitative) capitalism, in the kind homes of good US sponsors whose own kids may be in homes in Cuba?!?

I think such exchanges would sow the seeds of mutual understanding and support between Cuba and the US, and could be an important building block to normalized relations with the country.

Or, one has to ask, does the Trump Administration WANT Russia to come back as a huge influence in this very strategically placed island, as another "reason" for invading and reconquering Cuba?!?

Folks, all we have in Cuba is Guantanamo, one leased encampment, and that is a horrible place, where people the US suspects of trying to do something awful are thrown, and frequently with no charges against them.

Inmates are still force-fed, if they elect to do a hunger strike, so they won't die quickly.

Because water-boarding is not the worst which has been done to these men, and the American military doesn't want autopsies done which would validate that this was true.

The following are very graphic images of men being force-fed; if you don't have the stomach for it, don't look.Images: inmates being force-fed (believed to be still be happening in 2019, at Guantanamo

IF we are. in fact, a nation of laws, why do we hold people indefinitely, without charges?!? Even the rankest of US criminals has that right.

Cohen has largely been banished from mainstream media.

Trump repeatedly suggested Venezuela invasion, stunning top aides – report

Donald Trump repeatedly raised the possibility of invading Venezuela in talks with his top aides at the White House, according to a new report.

Trump brought up the subject of an invasion in public in August last year, saying: “We have many options for Venezuela, including a possible military option, if necessary.” But the president’s musings about the possibility of a US invasion were more extensive and persistent than that public declaration, according to the Associated Press.

The previous day Trump reportedly took his top officials by surprise in an Oval Office meeting, asking why the US could not intervene to remove the government of Nicolás Maduro on the grounds that Venezuela’s political and economic unraveling represented a threat to the region.

70 civilians martyred or injured in new massacre by Int’l Coalition in Deir Ezzor countryside

Warplanes of the US-led “International Coalition” on Tuesday continued aggression on the Syrian territories through shelling al-Baghouz town in Deir Ezzor countryside claiming the lives of scores of civilians and injuring others, mostly women and children.

Local sources in Deir Ezzor told SANA that at least 70 civilians were martyred or injured, mostly women and children on the outskirts of al-Baghouz town in airstrikes launched by warplanes of the “International Coalition”.

The sources indicated that the coalition’s airstrikes targeted a camp that embraces hundreds of civilians who fled the shelling by the coalition and the terrorism of Daesh (ISIS), indicating that the number of martyrs is more likely to rise due to the critical conditions of some of the injured and the difficulty of hospitalizing them due to the continued shelling.

Rutherford Institute Sues City Over 700-Police ‘Emergency’ Lockdown That Resulted in Arrest of Disabled Veteran for Canned Iced Tea & Bug Spray

Denouncing excessive, costly government security protocols lacking in common sense and intended to chill First Amendment activity, attorneys for The Rutherford Institute have filed a Fourth Amendment lawsuit against government officials who allowed a disabled war veteran to carry two firearms through a security checkpoint only to arrest him for lawfully purchasing canned iced tea, bug spray, lightbulbs and razor blades, which were banned as part of the city’s pre-emptive measures to discourage civil unrest. Incidentally, the veteran’s guns (not among the list of prohibited items) caused no alarm. A district court judge later dismissed the charges against 64-year-old John Miska, ruling that the ordinance used to justify the veteran’s arrest was overbroad and unreasonable and, therefore, unenforceable.

Don’t blame the Israel lobby on Christians and Republicans

Let’s say your neighbor’s barn burned down and she came to you and said she’d seen your son running from the barn, and you talked to your son and he said, Well I got the rags and kerosene but Jimmy Jones got the matches; and you went back to your neighbor and said, You really need to be talking to Jimmy Jones, leave my family out of it.

That would of course be the height of irresponsibility, but it is the stance of a lot of Jewish writers when anyone mentions the Israel lobby. They say, Don’t blame the Jewish establishment; it’s Christian evangelicals who drive U.S. policy.

Bret Stephens said it the other day in the New York Times: American Jews have “wealth without political power.” Paul Waldman said it in the Washington Post: Ben Cardin and other Democratic senators were serving a rightwing agenda in pushing the Israel Anti-Boycott Act (which was pushed by a leading Jewish organization, AIPAC).
