Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman orders arrests of Saudi Arabia king's brother, an ex-crown prince and a cousin by masked black-clad guards for 'treason' as he consolidates his hold on power

Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Nayef arrested
Over plot to oust king and son, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, reports suggest
Mohammed bin Nayef had been crown prince before his title was taken away
King Salman put his son - Prince Mohammed bin Salman - first in line for throne.

The brother and nephew of Saudi Arabia's King Salman have been arrested over a plot to oust the king and his son, Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The detentions cast aside the last vestiges of potential opposition to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and come as the kingdom limits access to Islam's holiest sites in a highly sensitive move to contain the fast-spreading coronavirus.

Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, a brother of King Salman, and the monarch's nephew Prince Mohammed bin Nayef were accused of treason.

They were taken from their homes early on Friday by black-clad royal guards, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing unnamed sources.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder; how long before these men get assassinated, and their families are imprisoned for life?!?

And will someone please remind me, about all the LOGICAL REASONS why Bin Salman is one of two of Trump's "BFFS forever" in the Middle East, the other being Israel's Bibi Netanyahu?!?

I am REALLY having a hard time with this, thank you.

THROUGH APPS, NOT WARRANTS, ‘LOCATE X’ ALLOWS FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT TO TRACK PHONES

U.S. law enforcement agencies signed millions of dollars worth of contracts with a Virginia company after it rolled out a powerful tool that uses data from popular mobile apps to track the movement of people's cell phones, according to federal contracting records and six people familiar with the software.

The product, called Locate X and sold by Babel Street, allows investigators to draw a digital fence around an address or area, pinpoint mobile devices that were within that area, and see where else those devices have traveled, going back months, the sources told Protocol.

They said the tool tracks the location of devices anonymously, using data that popular cell phone apps collect to enable features like mapping or targeted ads, or simply to sell it on to data brokers.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is both a dangerous precedent, and yet another, painful example of the reality of how much we have morphed, as a society, from allegedly "Innocent until proven guilty" to a "Guilty until proven innocent, Code Napoleon Throwback law.

Trump campaign sues CNN over ‘false and defamatory’ statements, seeks millions in damages

President Trump’s re-election campaign filed a libel lawsuit against CNN on Friday for publishing “false and defamatory” statements about seeking Russia’s help in the 2020 election.

"The complaint alleges CNN was aware of the falsity at the time it published them but did so for the intentional purpose of hurting the campaign while misleading its own readers in the process... the campaign filed this lawsuit against CNN and the preceding suits against The New York Times and The Washington Post to hold the publishers accountable for their reckless false reporting and also to establish the truth,” Senior Legal Adviser to Donald J. The Despicable USA – Theater of Dystopia. A Nation Run by Gangsters

These continuing egregious, lawless crimes around the globe result in the murder, maiming, and displacement of countless human beings in a number of countries. But these crimes are immune from impeachment because they enjoy overwhelming bi-partisan support. Additionally, the President has severely curtailed important life-preserving domestic programs and environmental protections designed to save the health and lives of US citizens, while the Congress yawns.

The obscene, insane annual $125 Trillion bi-partisan military intelligence budget, that includes 17 separate intelligence agencies, pre-empts development of any serious social and physical infrastructure.[3] And, such policy endangers everybody at home and abroad. Who really is the enemy of the US? What is clear is that the US is at war with the world.

Yangon, Myanmar - Continued fighting between Myanmar's military and the Arakan Army armed group has left several people dead in recent days as the government continues a clampdown on the western region.

Coronavirus: Remember the “Fake” 2009 H1N1 Swine Flu Pandemic: Manipulating the Data to Justify a Worldwide Public Health Emergency

Author’s Introduction

On January 30th 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) in relation to China’s novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) categorized as a viral pneumonia. The virus outbreak was centred in the city of Wuhan, a city in Eastern China with a population in excess of 11 million.

In the week prior to January 30th decision, the WHO Emergency Committee “expressed divergent views”. There were visible divisions within the Committee. On January 30th, a far-reaching decision was taken in an irresponsible fashion without the support of expert opinion at a time when the coronavirus outbreak was limited to Mainland China.

Who Made Coronavirus? Was It the U.S., Israel or China?

The most commonly reported mainstream media account of the creation of the Coronavirus suggests that it was derived from an animal borne microorganism found in a wild bat that was consumed by an ethnic Chinese resident of Wuhan. But there appears to be some evidence to dispute that in that adjacent provinces in China, where wild bats are more numerous, have not experienced major outbreaks of the disease. Because of that and other factors, there has also been considerable speculation that the Coronavirus did not occur naturally through mutation but rather was produced in a laboratory, possibly as a biological warfare agent.

China’s Coronavirus: A Shocking Update. Did The Virus Originate in the US?

The Western media quickly took the stage and laid out the official narrative for the outbreak of the new coronavirus which appeared to have begun in China, claiming it to have originated with animals at a wet market in Wuhan.

In fact the origin was for a long time unknown but it appears likely now, according to Chinese and Japanese reports, that the virus originated elsewhere, from multiple locations, but began to spread widely only after being introduced to the market.

More to the point, it appears that the virus did not originate in China and, according to reports in Japanese and other media, may have originated in the US.

NYT EDITOR & BRIAN WILLIAMS HUMILIATED AFTER SUGGESTING EACH AMERICAN COULD HAVE RECEIVED $1 MILLION FROM BLOOMBERG’S £500M AD SPEND

New York Times editor Mara Gay and MSNBC host Brian Williams faced humiliation after they erroneously suggested that Mike Bloomberg’s $500 million ad spend could have been used to give each American $1 million dollars.

The farce began with a tweet by Mikita Rivas, which some people claimed was satirical, stating, “Bloomberg spent $500 million on ads. The U.S. population is 327 million. He could have given each American $1 million and still have money left over. I feel like a $1 million check would be life-changing for most people. Yet he wasted it all on ads and STILL LOST.”

Ending the Myth that Trump Is Ending the Wars: Trump has sent more new troops to the Middle East than he’s bringing home from Afghanistan.

There was this moment during the State of the Union Address that I can’t stop thinking about.

When President Trump spoke to army wife Amy Wiliams during his speech and told her he’d arranged her husband’s return home from Afghanistan as a “special surprise,” it was difficult to watch.

Sgt. Townsend Williams then descended the stairs to reunite with his family after seven months of deployment. Congress cheered. A military family’s reunion — with its complicated feelings that are typically handled in private or on a base — was used for an applause line.

That gimmick was the only glimpse many Americans will get of the human reality of our wars overseas. There is no such window into the lives or suffering of people in Yemen, Somalia, Afghanistan, or beyond.

That’s unacceptable. And so is the myth that Trump is actually ending the wars.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Given that many of the Trump-Centric Evangelicals in this country are also "End of Time Believers", who believe that it will be only after a massive world war (which humankind MUST bring about) that Jesus' "Second Coming" will happen, coupled with the push by the military industrial complex for wars and more wars, I see both the chances for bringing about the end of existing wars, and not bringing about new ones, is statistically very slight for this administration.

And the hell of it it is, once the Dementocrats finally have nailed down their choices for President and Vice President, whoever they may be, we are still looking at a party which will never "cross the line" in terms of questioning if such a war is necessary, and if there might possibly be other alternatives which would see the US get what it wanted to get, geopolitically, without firing a shot.

So, as usual, at the end of the day, the American voter has utterly zero choice in finding a non-warmonger as their presidential or vice-presidential candidate, because no matter who they vote for, every vote in this Kabuki-like charade, is a vote for more war.; it pains me to say this, but if people are honestly, dispassionately looking at the American Presidential political process, this is the butt-ugly truth, no matter how you describe it.

Turkish Army Posts in Syria’s Idlib Merge With Rebel Positions: Russia says Turkey is violating past deals on Idlib

Turkish-backed Islamist rebels in Northern Syria’s Idlib Province have been getting more and more aid from Turkey to fight against the Syrian government. They are looking for direct Turkish backing by embedding closer and closer to Turkish Army posts. At this point, they’ve effectively merged.

This makes sense for the rebels to do, because having Syria attack al-Qaeda doesn’t look like a problem, but having Syria attack the Turkish military does. Making it less clear which is which ensures that every Syrian military operation is vilified.

Russian officials were critical of this tactic, saying Turkey was violating obligations they’d established in previous deals over Idlib, particularly deals when all those Turkish Army posts were established. This was done specifically so Turkey didn’t do exactly what they’re doing.

Webmaster's Commentary:

How ever this is happening, it does not auger well for peace; for the Syrian people, and for its government.

Syrian air defenses engaged incoming missiles shortly after midnight local time on Thursday, both near Homs in central Syria and Quneitra in the south, on the armistice line with the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. CORONAVIRUS VS. THE MASS SURVEILLANCE STATE: WHICH POSES THE GREATER THREAT?

SOURCE: JOHN W. WHITEHEAD
“If, as it seems, we are in the process of becoming a totalitarian society in which the state apparatus is all-powerful, the ethics most important for the survival of the true, free, human individual would be: cheat, lie, evade, fake it, be elsewhere, forge documents, build improved electronic gadgets in your garage that’ll outwit the gadgets used by the authorities.”—Philip K. Dick

Emboldened by the citizenry’s inattention and willingness to tolerate its abuses, the government has weaponized one national crisis after another in order to expands its powers.

The war on terror, the war on drugs, the war on illegal immigration, asset forfeiture schemes, road safety schemes, school safety schemes, eminent domain: all of these programs started out as legitimate responses to pressing concerns and have since become weapons of compliance and control in the police state’s hands.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Much of what happens in China's future, depends on its military; how loyal it will continue to be to a centralized government, which continues to abuse its people and act with an incredible degree of hubris, , or develop a new-found loyalty to the Chinese people themselves, suffering under the boot-heel of oppression.; and right now, that issue is up for grabs.

Assad Joins Forces With Libya’s Hafter to Combat Turkey: East Libya govt will open embassy in Damascus

While recent generations have shown them reluctant to expand far beyond their borders, in the past few months Turkey has shown interest in overseas military engagements. Forces have been active in northern Syria with an eye toward regime change, and Turkey has also committed to military involvement in Libya.

That’s given Turkey two potential enemies to worry about, and given them each a potential new ally. The Syrian government and Libya’s self-proclaimed Libyan National Army (LNA) or Gen. Khalifa Haftar have agreed to cooperation, and a memorandum of understanding to confront Turkish aggression.

The LNA’s adjoining government, the eastern-based Tobruk Parliament, has confirmed it will be opening an embassy in Damascus. This will be the first Libyan embassy in Syria since the 2012 NATO-imposed regime change in Libya.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is one of the most significant developments regarding Libya, that you will almost never hear about, courtesy of the Corporate Presstitutes.

A very very curious, but astute, article appeared in mid-January of this year, from fp, and titled: Russia’s Role in the Libyan Civil War Gives It Leverage Over Europe

It then states that "recent joint Russian-Turkish summit in Moscow aimed at forging a cease-fire in Libya broke down after the Libyan warlord Khalifa Haftar left without signing the proposed truce agreement. One of Haftar’s main backers is Russia, and his unwillingness to sign on to the deal raises important questions about not only the degree of influence Russia actually has in Libya, but also how serious it is about bringing an end to the conflict.

Russia first rose to prominence in Libya in September 2019 after it deployed mercenaries to the front lines of Tripoli to back Haftar, sparking concern in the United States and Europe that the Kremlin had finally thrown its hat into Libya’s civil war. Its presence in Libya was strikingly reminiscent of the decisive role it played in Syria, where it backed the regime of President Bashar al-Assad to brutal effect and essentially saved the regime from collapse."

but if Syria (and Russia) are bringing force to bear against the current UN/proxy military government in Tripoli, which Erdogan is claiming he is fighting to defend, we have a couple of potential outcomes, both lousy, for US involvement here.

The first is a triumphant Haftar, after taking Tripoli, and the rest of the country, calling for new elections, and throwing the delegitimized UN government out, and the question has to be asked; what is the US government actually willing to do to prevent this, in light of the fact that Russia is siding with Haftar?!?

The second is a prolonged US/NATO-led military against Haftar and the Russians, which could well turn Libya into another US Vietnam, with the same ultimate outcome as this war had.

And what concerns me, is that those in the Bowels of Power in this country appear to be sleepwalking into this trap, just as blissfully as did the US government in World War I.

One of the most brilliant films about war ever to have been made, is the 2nd Robert Downey Jr./Jude Law film about Sherlock Holmes; the title is "A Game of Shadows", and if you have not seen it, I urge you to do so, because it talks in very plain language, about just how regional wars like this get fanned, until they become world wars; this is the potential impact of Al Assad throwing his geopolitical fortunes with Russia, in supporting Haftar in Libya.

Erdogan’s Dance of Death With NATO

Although the evidence is murky, it appears that both Russian and Syrian jet fighters took part in the Feb. 27 attack on a Turkish mechanized infantry battalion consisting of roughly 400 soldiers. According to an account in Al-Monitor, two Syrian Sukhoi SU-22 pounded the convoy, forcing the troops to take cover. But then a pair of Russian Sukhoi SU-34s dropped advanced laser-guided bunker-buster bombs on two roadside buildings where Turkish forces had taken shelter, burying them in the rubble.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And the US government has responded accordingly, according to an article in msn.com, datelined today:U.S. promises Turkey ammunition for Syria's Idlib battle

The article goes on to state:

U.S. promises Turkey ammunition for Syria's Idlib battle

The United States is willing to give NATO ally Turkey ammunition alongside humanitarian assistance in northwestern Syria where Ankara is in a deepening standoff with Russia, the U.S. special representative for the region said on Tuesday. Lucy Fielder reports."

As I have mentioned on this site many times before, just because something is the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing the US government can do, is no guarantee that it will not do it; I am very concerned that President Trump may well rue the day he and his Cabinet decided that this was the "right way" of handling Erdogan's "military misadventures" in Syria.

ACLU SUES TO END ICE’S RIGGED ALGORITHM FOR DETAINING IMMIGRANTS

SOURCE: THE INTERCEPT
IN 2013, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement quietly began using a software tool to recommend whether people arrested over immigration violations should be let go after 48 hours or detained. The software’s algorithm supposedly pored over a variety of risk factors before outputting a decision.

A new lawsuit, however, filed by the New York Civil Liberties Union and Bronx Defenders, alleges that the algorithm doesn’t really make a decision, at least not one that can result in a detainee being released. Instead, the groups said, it’s an unconstitutional cudgel that’s been rigged to detain virtually everyone ICE’s New York Field Office brings in, even when the government itself believes they present a minimal threat to public safety.

“The federal government’s sweeping detention dragnet means that people who pose no flight or safety risk are being jailed as a matter of course — in an unlawful trend that is getting worse.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have a question here; are these detainees here illegally, or legally?!?

IF, in fact, they are here illegally, are they already not breaking the law?!?

And IF, in fact, these detainees are here illegally, what is New York's ACLU ready to do, in terms of paying for unfunded mandates, required by the City of New York, in order to feed, clothe, and house these people, to say nothing of educating their kids, many of whom speak absolutely zero English?!?

Now please don't get me wrong; I love that Emma Lazarus poem, beginning with the words, "Give me your tired, your poor; your huddled masses yearning to breathe free;" but folks, that was written in 1883, and just... a little has changed in this country since then, including a desperate need for skilled labor, which our schools seem pathologically incapable of turning out.

It is completely reasonable, at this point in the 21st century, for the US government to demand that those who immigrate to this country, have skills; speak a standard English; and not be a financial burden on this country, much as does the Australian immigration system, which gives good people with skills a shot at the "brass ring" of Australian citizenship.

Why should we not insist on inviting "the best of the best" immigrants to become US citizens?!?

I see absolutely zero reason why we should not.

And if you can think of any, please let me know!! :-)

YOU'LL NEVER GUESS HOW BIG BANKS WANT THE FED TO HANDLE THE CORONAVIRUS: MORE WALL STREET DEREGULATION!! "SURELY, THE BIG BANKS AREN'T CRAVEN ENOUGH TO USE COVID-19 AS AN EXCUSE TO LOBBY FOR LONG-SOUGHT REGULATORY ROLLBACKS, RIGHT? WRONG!"

The Bank Policy Institute, a lobbying group for big banks, drew criticism for a policy memo suggesting financial deregulation as a response to the coronavirus outbreak. (Photo: Phillipp/Flickr/cc)

A lobbying group for big banks in the United States came under fire Tuesday from financial industry experts for pressuring federal officials to push through long-sought regulatory rollbacks in response to the worldwide economic concerns sparked by the global coronavirus outbreak.

On Sunday, Bank Policy Institute (BPI) chief executive Greg Baer, head of research Francisco Covas, and chief economist Bill Nelson published a post on the group's website entitled "Actions the Fed Could Take in Response to COVID-19." The BPI is a lobbying group whose members include Bank of America, Citigroup JPMorgan Chase, and Wells Fargo.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Those people, pushing for this, in terms of attempting to blame Covid-19 for the economic downturn, and want government regulators to "fix" it, by loosening restrictions on banking practices, are being disingenuous in the extreme.

And we have a companion piece, also from blacklistednews.com, with the following headline and commentary: FED: CORONAVIRUS EMERGENCY RATE CUT, 50 BASIS POINTS

The article goes on to state: "The Federal Reserve cut interest rates by 50 basis points in an impromptu meeting on Tuesday as a response to the coronavirus.

The Fed said the “fundamentals of the U.S. economy remain strong” but that the coronavirus “poses evolving risks to economic activity.” The cut, which amounts to a half percentage point, lowered the current target range to between 1% and 1.25%."

MSNBC host Chris Matthews, 74, RESIGNS live on air after GQ columnist revealed he made sleazy remarks about 'falling in love' with her when she was a guest on Hardball

Longtime MSNBC host Chris Matthews has resigned from the network after facing harsh criticism in the past week over a series of on-air flubs and a journalist's accusation that he made sexist remarks to her.

Matthews made the unexpected announcement live during Monday's episode of Hardball, revealing that he and MSNBC that mutually agreed to part ways.

News Media Attacks Vitamin C Treatment of COVID-19 Coronavirus

First of all, the naysayers are too late. Vitamin C is already being used to prevent and treat COVID-19 in China and in Korea. And it is working.

Here is a verified official statement from China's Xi'an Jiaotong University Second Hospital:

"On the afternoon of February 20, 2020, another 4 patients with severe coronavirus pneumonia recovered from the C10 West Ward of Tongji Hospital. In the past 8 patients have been discharged from hospital. . . [H]igh-dose vitamin C achieved good results in clinical applications. We believe that for patients with severe neonatal pneumonia, and for critically ill patients, vitamin C treatment should be initiated as soon as possible after admission. Numerous studies have shown that the dose of vitamin C has a lot to do with the effect of treatment. High-dose vitamin C can not only improve antiviral levels, but more importantly, can prevent and treat acute lung injury (ALI) and acute respiratory distress (ARDS)."

Even NATO is unwilling to touch Turkey’s Idlib mess with a ten-foot pole

is a former US Marine Corps intelligence officer. He served in the Soviet Union as an inspector implementing the INF Treaty, in General Schwarzkopf’s staff during the Gulf War, and from 1991-1998 as a UN weapons inspector. Follow him on Twitter @RealScottRitter

Having been hit by the Syrian Air Force in Idlib, Turkey has called on NATO’s protection, but as much as the alliance would like a fight with Assad and his ally Russia, it’s refused to back Ankara’s questionable adventure.
Turkey engaged NATO in Article 4 consultations, seeking help regarding the crisis in Syria. The meeting produced a statement from NATO condemning the actions of Russia and Syria and advocating for humanitarian assistance, but denying Turkey the assistance it sought.

A failed gamble

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is painfully obvious, that Erdogan did not due his "due dilligence" with NATO, of which Turkey is a member, to sound out potential support for this military misadventure, which is on track to be one of the most miserable epic fails in Turkey's contemporary history, before he decided to send in troops.

The next Turkish Parliamentary elections are scheduled in about 3 years from now. Turkish General Elections Scheduled for 2023.

IF Edrogan keeps writing geopolitical checks his military is unable to cash, this pathologically "bad behaviour" on his part may well sour the Turkish electorate on him; cause the voting public to go back to a Parliamentary system of elections; and find someone else who will care enough about the Turkish people and its military to not put them in harm's way like this.

And now, we have a related story, from rt.com, with the following headline:
Turkey & Syria on brink of WAR in Idlib: How did it come to this?

I am hoping (and praying) that Russia's collective general level head will continue to prevail, but it all depends on how hard Erdogan, and his military, are willing to push back here.

Erdogan has been very much behaving like the human version of a loose cannon, ever since the 2016 attempted coup in Turkey; I am seriously hoping that there has got to be a point, where he has to realize what harm he is bringing to both his people, and his military; but in looking at his current behaviour, relative to Syria, I am not so certain that we are going to see a change in the behaviour which brought Turkey into Syria in the first place.

UK Should Be 'Scared to Death' of Assange Extradition Over Public Backlash - Politician

LONDON (Sputnik) - The UK government should be "scared to death" of a popular uproar over its treatment of the imprisoned founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, especially in the event of him being extradited to face espionage charges in the United States, Chris Marsden, the national secretary of the UK Socialist Equality Party, said.

The remarks come amid Assange's extradition hearing that started on Monday at Woolwich Crown Court in the UK capital of London. Earlier in the day, dozens of WikiLeaks supporters gathered outside the court, carrying banners with messages such as "Don’t Extradite Assange" and "The Truth Will Win."

According to Marsden, the accusations against Assange were effectively a "frame up" arguably motivated by Washington's desire to punish the whistleblower for his role in the publishing of materials implicating US forces in possible war crimes.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please remember; none of the Wikileaks revelations have ever been proven wrong.

Pentagon Papers Case Vindicates Julian Assange

Under the First Amendment, affirmed by the Supreme Court in the Pentagon Papers case, analogous to the Trump regime v. Assange, no one may be lawfully punished for truth-telling — not journalists or anyone else.

In wanting Julian Assange extradited to the US for prosecution under the long ago outdated Espionage Act relating to WW I, the Trump regime aims to reverse the landmark Supreme Court Pentagon Papers ruling.

Arguing to uphold speech and press freedoms when the case was heard by the High Court, Justice Hugo Black said the following:

The government’s injunction to prohibit publication by the NYT and Washington Post “should have been vacated without oral argument when the cases were first presented,” adding:

“(E)very moment’s continuance of the injunctions…amounts to a flagrant, indefensible, and continuing violation of the First Amendment.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Punishing people for telling the truth, is an anathema, in a truly democratic society, which unfortunately, the Unhinged, Surveilled State of America, is not any more.

Donald Trump's Erratic Foreign Policy Is a Failure

One of the most memorable parts of the 2020 State of the Union was President Trump’s surprise reunification of a military family. “For the past seven months, her husband, Sgt. 1st Class Townsend Williams, has been in Afghanistan on his fourth deployment,” the president said, introducing Amy Williams and her two young children before revealing to thunderous applause that Sgt. Williams was present in the House chamber. A happy moment, but why shouldn’t all military families experience the same joy?

Reuniting one family is good, but what about the tens of thousands of other families still separated by wars Trump could end at any moment? The president talks a good talk about ending “endless wars,” to use a phrase from last year’s SOTU, but he has failed to extricate the United States from a single conflict. The incongruity is indefensible.

Britain adjourns Assange’s US extradition hearing until May

LONDON — A British court adjourned hearing a U.S. extradition request for imprisoned WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange on Thursday after four days that focused on whether or not his alleged crimes were political.

Woolwich Crown Court adjourned the hearing, which is expected to last several months, until a three-week session set to begin May 18. Two short procedural hearings are scheduled in late March and early April.

Assange’s lawyers argued that his extradition should be blocked under British law because Washington has pursued it with “political motives.” Lawyers for the U.S. government said he had broken “ordinary criminal laws.”

The U.S. Justice Department said it charged Australian citizen Assange, 48, with conspiring with former U.S. military intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning to leak a trove of classified material in 2010.

Webmaster's Commentary:

To both the governments of the UK and US, a word, please; if the plan is to "encourage" Assange's death, either overtly, or covertly in the UK,this will make a martyr out of this guy internationally, for telling the truth, and embarrassing US and UK officials.

Please remember; so far, there has been nothing published by Wikileaks, which has been proven to be incorrect.

Is THIS the outcome you really want here?!?

His physical and mental state are fragile enough right now, according to the Doctors who have testified in his behalf, that he is in deep peril of dying.
End torture and medical neglect of Julian Assange

When an article like this appears in the Lancet, not particularly known as the scientific world's mouthpiece for "yellow journalism", you have to know that this plan to silence Assange through death, has all eyes upon you right
now, and even if his death might be utterly through no fault of either the US or Brit Spymeisters, both governments will be blamed and disparaged, both and intensely, and for a very long time to come.

I would like to politely suggest that you collectively cool your jets on Assange, give him the ability to claim sanctuary in a third party country, and live out what is left of the rest of his life, undisturbed and unprovoked.

And then perhaps, if you are collectively able, please try not to do the exceedingly ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid kinds of things for which Wikileaks has consistently called both countries out.

WE ARE ALL ASSANGE: A PHOTOMOSAIC OF INTERNET PRESENCES

So I made a photo mosaic of faces of people on the Internet, the censored, the demonized, the curious: podcasters and YouTube niche celebs and profiles from everywhere, from Twitter and Instagram and Myspace and Reddit and Pinterest and Snapchat and Tumblr and LiveJournal and even Facebook; faces of activists from BDS and BLM and OWS; faces of journalists of all kinds, anonymous and pseudonymous and eponymous, citizens all; whistleblowers and more whistleblowers and more whistleblowers; magazine publishers and rock stars and politicians and webmasters and authors and artists and poets and revolutionaries.

All of you who think for ourselves. Thousands and thousands of faces.

I made a mosaic. You should see it. I made it for you.

It is seven and three quarter feet tall, but fully zoomable on your device’s screen. Check it out. I call it “We Are All Assange.”

SINEAD O'CONNOR DESERVES AN APOLOGY ALREADY.

She tried to tell everyone about the rampant abuse of children at the hands of the Catholic Church... way back in 1992. She was booed, and poorly understood.

Now, I have an idea, and you can help.

Let's get Saturday Night Live to have her back on the show.

WHAT YOU AREN'T BEING TOLD ABOUT THE NEW SCOTUS RULING

...MAY HURT YOU.

Recently the Supreme Court ruled that to access to the vast amount of information, logged by your cellphone many times per minute on exactly where you have been and for how long, that the cellphone provider keeps for five years, a warrant is required. Fantastic. Obvious, right?

Well, no, and more importantly, as a privacy "win," understanding the new ruling is counter-intuitive. Reports on the ruling barely mention certain things as they rush to soothe an American public justifiably edgy after all the post Snowden lies. Such as:

it does NOT apply to real-time location data - so patterns can be reassembled after new tracking
it does NOT apply to data collected by the private sector - so data can be bought or traded
it does NOT apply to investigations related to national security - and remember, most invocations of the Patriot Act involved drugs, not terrorism

Private entities regularly share their data with the government, without a warrant, and even if they didn't, a trivial amount of real-time location tracking will reestablish the behavioral patterns of most individuals with alarming accuracy. Enough to discover most if not all of their important social affiliations. Include the call metadata, and you have nearly all of it; track their friends for a week, and, without a warrant, but with the info already available, I am sure the degree to which their privacy has been infringed upon exceeds that with which the Founding fathers felt comfortable.

For more detailed analysis, information, and links to sources, please visit No Warrant, No Problem: New SCOTUS Ruling Does Not Apply To Real Time Location Tracking.

IF YOU OWN A PHONE THIS MEANS YOU: AND IT IS SO VERY MUCH WORSE THAN THE FACEBOOK SCANDAL

I am publishing below an excerpt (called the 'main point') from my post with exhaustive links called YOUR PRIVATE LIFE JUST SUDDENLY EXPLODED. The rest of the post and a complete bibliography of links is at the source.

YOUR PRIVATE LIFE JUST SUDDENLY EXPLODED.

Evidence surfaced recently -- proof -- that each of us, that every one of us with a cellphone, might as well have a corresponding dot moving and blinking in real time, geolocated on a map somewhere. Did I say might as well? I mean does. (Yes that map is real.)

Find links below.

Let that sink in. THAT GIANT MAP IS REAL. It is a map of all connected devices. If you have a phone, or laptop, or tablet, or router for that matter, you are on it. I mean that absolutely literally.

If you own a cell phone, this means you.

[snip]

First we learned that our private location information may be, and is, easily retrieved, without a warrant, or our informed consent, and with little to no oversight, at the will, or even whim of almost any police officer in America...

Then, we learned that, until recently, your location information could be retrieved by absolutely anyone with your phone number.

I repeat, up until may 17th, 2018, it was trivially easy for absolutely anyone to locate absolutely anyone else's phone WITH ONLY THE NUMBER…

… and it very probably still isn't that hard.

DO NOT CLICK: Ads Falsely Reporting Deaths Of Bill O'Reilly And Rush Limbaugh Likely Malware

The files to which the ads are linked are highly suspicious, so much so that I didn't run them even quarantined.

Screenshots of the ads are here, as well as links to the online tests. You can look at the embedded code yourself there, safely; it was labeled "suspicious," which seems to me to be very possibly an understatement.

Be safe, and

Be seeing you.

Newspaper Runs P.R. Puff-Piece on TSA; Next day a security guard is arrested for stealing cash from a passenger

https://letterstothebeast.com/2017/06/24/newspaper-runs-p-r-puff-piece...

On Thursday, June 22, 2017, our good friends at that bastion of journalism, the Orlando Sentinel, joined its corporate media colleagues in The City Beautiful in pliantly joining in on the Transportation Security Administration’s tour of the Orlando Airport and the various unseen security measures “behind the scenes.”

...

Sadly, while the media was hard at work in the basement of MCO, 22-year-old Alexander Shae Johnson was hard at work upstairs at his work station. According to fellow Sentinel stenographer David “Dave” Harris, Johnson, a TSA security guard, was caught stealing cash from a passenger’s bag. While a complicit security guard distracted the female passenger with a “pat-down” (i.e. sexual assault), Johnson went into her (the passenger’s) bag and helped himself to the cash.

There are several stories going up on alternative media websites that can't be verified. The child dying because protesters blocked an ambulance is one. The black guy making a threatening selfie threatening our new President elect is another.I checked that one out,it was dated March 2nd,2016. No pic. No mention of the election or Trump. No mention of BLM.
The ambulance story needs a little who, what, when and where!
