Danny Kaye: What You Didn't Know About This Iconic Funny Man

Danny Kaye preferred to be called an entertainer rather than a comedian because he believed that the term more accurately summed up all of his talents, and it is true that he seemed to be doing it all. He was a street performer, vaudeville entertainer, actor, singer, author, stand-up comedian, and TV variety show host. He has performed on Broadway, in films, for the USO, and on radio and television. You may know a little about Danny Kaye from The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and his work on White Christmas, but there's a lot more about this iconic funny guy that you probably didn't know.

Absurd ‘antisemitism’ charge against Emma Watson has exposed witchhunt strategy of Israel supporters

It’s an obvious point, but the obvious bears repeating. The absurd accusations of antisemitism against actress Emma Watson last week for expressing solidarity for Palestinians have backfired against Israeli leaders and in one bright flash helped to discredit an ancient tried-and-true strategy of the Israel lobby: maligning critics of Israel’s policies as antisemites.

Israel’s supporters have been effective for years at muzzling critics by doing just that. The good news of the Emma Watson’s smearing is that this time even establishment types raised an eyebrow over the strategy– and may even have noticed the anti-Palestinian bigotry that animates it.

So we should embrace the Emma Watson moment, as another landmark in the march to the mainstream of Palestinian solidarity.

Hollywood professionals are in quiet rebellion against wokeness

A new fight in the culture wars has emerged from an unexpected corner. Hollywood (of all places) is showing signs of resistance to wokeism, with several prominent Tinseltown insiders speaking out against forced hiring policies.

In a recent blog on Barry Weiss’ Substack, written by Peter Kiefer and Peter Savodnik, these insiders, many anonymously, gave their opinion on the new ‘diversity mandates’. It seems many Hollywood producers (like the audiences) have noticed that the rise of these ideological policies has been synonymous with the decline of the cultural relevance of films.

Webmaster's Commentary:

They finally realized that woke movies are losing money!

Harry Potter series to cast trans & nonbinary actors – media

The producers of the new Harry Potter series want the wizards to be played by transgender and nonbinary actors. But the woke project can still be derailed by J. K. Rowling, who hasn’t given them permission to use her characters.

“We aim to reflect the diversity of the fan base in its beloved characters, introducing people of color, queer storylines, and characters of differing faiths,” TikTok video producer Megan Mckelli, who is the project’s mastermind of the series planned to be filmed in the US this summer, said, as quoted by The Daily Mail.

The casting notes for the upcoming production, seen by The Daily Mail, insisted that the role of Harry Potter’s mother, Lily Evans, should go to a “gender-nonconforming, nonbinary, trans female.”

What Is One Way To Kill Movies Forever? Some Woke Producers Are Working On It

Film producers are preparing a woke version of the Harry Potter movies in which the magical characters will be recreated by transgender and non-binary actors.

In what will be seen by many as a challenge to J.K. Rowling, who was slammed for questioning the allegations that trans women are identical to biological women, the filmmakers are trying a more diverse line-up for the starring positions.

They are insisting that some of the characters for the new versions – to be aired as a "web series" – cannot be played by white actors, including the starring position of James Potter, father of young wizard Harry.

Variety: It's a Sad Reflection of the State of the World That White Men Composed So Many Songs People Like

The music industry doesn’t expect many popular songwriters to emerge in the future, so the trend in recent years has been to buy up all the song rights of aged rock stars for massive sums. So, the highest income musician for a recent year is not the most popular long run musician, but whoever did the biggest one time cash in for selling his song catalog that year.

Hollywood will barely dare whisper it but the woke revolution that has driven out white men and ensures that every production is ideologically sound will kill the entertainment industry, writes PETER KIEFER and PETER SAVODNIK

One showrunner, afraid to send his emails to us out of fear of them accidentally winding up on the wrong screen, agreed to show us correspondence with agents, writers, and studio chiefs that capture the new thinking at the highest levels of the Hollywood food chain.

Sitting in his office, in a casita behind his house and next to the pool, we scrolled through the emails on his laptop:

'This one a dead end — they are going to limit search to women and bipoc candidates'

'How tied to hiring him are you? There are some internally that don't like the idea of hiring a white guy. I wish I had a better way to frame it. Hate this shit.'

'Studio now telling us this job must go to a female / bipoc writer. Sorry — it sucks'

When we wrapped up, the showrunner said: 'This is all going to end in a giant class-action lawsuit.'

Eric Clapton's "Heart of a Child" Powerfully Addresses COVID Lockdown-Fueled Depression

Eric Clapton, whose fierce opposition to the vaccine mandate aspect of the COVID panicdemic is well chronicled, released a new song this past Christmas Eve that was overlooked in the hustle and hassle of the holiday season. Now that things have calmed down, it’s well worth taking into consideration. “Heart of a Child” is an achingly beautiful tune bringing powerful testimony about, and against, the human toll of COVID far separated from the virus itself.

Celebrity-obsessed people are less intelligent, new study boldly claims

Obsessed with Kim Kardashian’s butt? Can’t get enough of Bennifer getting back together? Chances are you’re an idiot — at least according to Hungarian academics.

New research has deemed people obsessed with Hollywood gossip and A-list celebs to be not that smart — which will surely come as a blow to those who love poring over the pages of tabloid magazines and tuning into reality TV.

The study, published in BMC Psychology late last year, asserts that “there is a direct association between celebrity worship and poorer performance on cognitive tests” measuring both literacy and numeracy.

I've Worked with People Like Bette Midler... Yes, They Think You're Stupid

Bette Midler got a lot of attention this week when she attacked the people of West Virginia for daring to elect a senator that Ms. Midler and her Hollywood pals don't approve of.

Rather than isolate her criticism to Sen. Joe Manchin, a long-time, professional politician who has voluntarily put himself in the arena of ideas and the rough-and-tumble world of electoral politics, she instead focused her vitriol on West Virginians.

Her attack was unseemly, rude, insulting, and demeaning. Also, sadly, it was all too common within the cloistered, sheltered, and privileged ranks of the entertainment elite.

So much for gratitude: The Harry Potter stars and Hollywood studio who owe their fortunes to JK Rowling's genius have turned on her. But like her refusal to be cowed by trans extremists, she's not taking their attempt to cancel her lying down

But she has now been repudiated by Radcliffe and the other young actors whom she turned into rich-beyond-dreams stars — all for daring to challenge the hard-line dogma of trans activists who insist biological sex does not exist.

In fact, so universal is the condemnation of Rowling, who has been cast into cinematic Siberia, that even Warner Bros, which owns the rights to all eight Potter films, is doing its best to distance themselves from her.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, let's see where Hollywood is headed. J.K. Rowling's films make money; get rid of her. Make films with transgender indoctrination that nobody goes to see; keep making them. Yeah, that makes sense!

Luongo: Davos' Last Stand Flops at the Box Office

Geopolitically, this is the worst opening for a movie since Ishtar.

Sure the overnight preview box office was good. The Dow off 1100 on Opening Day. Gold thwapped. Bitcoin crushed. But then people started talking about the train wreck they’d seen.

The response to OmicronVID-9/11’s performance has been nothing short of hilarious.

The early reviews pointed to an overblown ‘whisper number’ on box office receipts.

The hits just kept coming. The first scathing review came from no less than Goldman Sachs which screamed that they were not informed of the release of Omicron. They compared OmicronVID’s acting ability to the best on PornHub.

I’ve read a lot of Goldman notes over the years and they generally sound like someone desperately trying to convince you to take the opposite side of the trade from them…so they can fleece you.

That one was different. It was one that made it clear that they had no idea during production that Omicron was so bad.

Nolte: Steven Spielberg’s Woke ‘West Side Story’ Bombs with $10M Opening

Director Steven Spielberg’s woke West Side Story remake is a box office catastrophe expected to open in the $10 million range.

How awful is that? Well, do you remember that previous woke catastrophe, In the Heights? It opened to $11.5 million.

West Side Story is projected to bomb harder than In the Heights, lol.

Even so, the In the Heights’ production budget was only $55 million.

West Side Story cost $100 million to produce and probably as much to promote.

Now we get to my favorite part, that part where all the Hollywood media suck-ups fire off their lame excuses to appease their Studio Masters.

“So far, moviegoers over the age of 35 are the most leery in terms of returning to theaters,” says the left-wing THR.

That’s what you all said about No Time to Die, which opened to a disappointing $55 million. It seems to me that if the older-skewing No Time to Die could open to $55 million, West Side Story could do the same.

Reiner: Trump Followers ‘Are Not Hesitant to Use Guns’ — ‘We Have to Stop’ the Coup Now

Actor Rob Reiner said on this week’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Sunday Show” that former President Donald Trump’s followers were “not hesitant to use guns,” so they must be stopped now from attempting to overthrow the government.

Reiner said, “There was an insurrection. There was an attempt to overthrow the government. Now to put it in context, let’s say, for instance, a guy goes in to rob a bank, and he fails. You’re still breaking the law. You’re trying to rob a bank. That’s what happened. They tried to rob this country of its due process and the election. They went and tried to steal an election, and they tried to overthrow the government. That’s against the law. That breaks federal law. We need the DOJ to prosecute that. Unless they prosecute that, we’re giving the rights for people to just do it again, and they will. So we need two things, we need to prosecute the people responsible, and we need to pass voting rights.”

The Bizarre Christmas Marketing Stunt That Made Tinker Toys A Hit

Like Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys were popular because they allowed kids to express their limitless creativity, but unlike those cabin beams, they weren't an immediate success. In fact, the toy's makers could barely afford them. Fearless, they came up with a clever marketing stunt before Christmas 1915, which today would have raised a few eyebrows but resulted in sales of millions.

In the early 1900s, Charles Pajeau, a mason by trade living in Evanston, Illinois, observed a group of children playing with thrown spools of thread on a morning walk to work, building tall towers. To put a pencil in the hole of the spool. , He was amazed at their ingenuity, but he could see that they were frustrated by the limitations of the spool. Drawing on his background as a stonemason, Pajeau added more holes around the perimeter of his wooden spools so that the sticks could form 45- and 90-degree angles.

The people of rural Norway through the photographs of Nils Olsson Reppen, 1900s

Photographer Nils Olsson Repen was born in 1856 on Repen's farm in Sogndal, western Norway. In 1882, he moved to America and worked as a photographer in Browns Valley and Morris in Minnesota.

He returned to Norway in the late 1890s and continued to work as a photographer in Sogndal, where he was born. Sogndal is a village beautifully situated by the Sognefjord, the longest and deepest fjord in Norway. This area is considered one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Instead of taking simple pictures in a studio like a typical photographer, Nils Olsson Reppen used a large-format stereoscopic camera to photograph his countrymen among the region's idyllic fjords, glaciers and towering mountains.

His shoots were unusual, in that he saw packed subjects at the bottom of the frame or at a distance, and then the landscape above them.

Lessons From Hollywood’s “Great Replacement”

Why do some attempts at social engineering and racial apartheid work, while others don’t? It often comes down to whether the machinators choose to acknowledge human nature or ignore it.

So let’s take a look at the first industry-wide attempt to make Hollywood less white, and we’ll reason out why it failed.

Leftists have long sought to de-whiten Hollywood’s on-camera talent. I stress “on-camera,” because behind the scenes, in terms of studio heads, producers, and network execs, Hollywood is content to be exceptionally not diverse (unless your definition of “diverse” is that some names end in “stein” and others in “berg,” “witz,” and “thal”). But “diversifying” the faces in front of the camera has been a long-term project for those who think that trading the Grace Kellys for the Leslie Joneses will heal the nation or whatever (the “Phase 2” in between “Phase 1: Ban white actors” and “Phase 3: Utopia” is something the Underpants Gnomes have yet to elucidate).

Baldwin will sit down for his first formal interview regarding the tragic shooting on the set of the independent Western film "Rust," it was announced on Wednesday. Baldwin addressed the fact that he was holding a gun that was apparently loaded with a live bullet that should not have been on the set at all, let alone in an actor's hand, in a trailer for the tell-all.

‘Anne Boleyn’ show writer: ‘We wanted it to feel fresh and different’ on AMC+

Call it a new spin on an old story.

The three-part period drama “Anne Boleyn,” premiering on AMC+ on Thursday (Dec. 9), showcases the famous doomed Queen’s story in a different way — with Jodie Turner-Smith, (“Queen and Slim”), a British actress of Jamaican descent, in the lead role.

“We wanted to make sure the world of our Tudor court didn’t look exactly like period dramas that we’d seen in the past,” series writer Eve Hedderwick Turner told The Post.

“Because it is such a well-known period of history and Anne’s story itself has been really well covered, we wanted to make sure that it felt fresh and alive and different. And also, reflective of our society today — so that hopefully we would attract new audiences who maybe didn’t see relevance in watching a story like this previously.”

A CIA and Pentagon Production

I haven’t seen the movie Top Gun, and I won’t bother seeing the much anticipated sequel, Top Gun: Maverick. Why should I? If I wanted to see a movie produced by the Pentagon or the CIA, I would just watch Animal Farm.

Seriously. In perhaps the most ironic moment in the history of literature, the CIA actually made an animated movie version of Animal Farm. Of course, they rewrote Orwell’s ending to fit the message. CIA operative Howard Hunt, of Watergate fame, would recall in his memoir that they "tweaked [it] to heighten the anti-Communist message, and distribute it throughout the world in the hope that it would be seen by parents and children alike."

Other key contributors to the movie included Hollywood producer and agent Carleton Alsop and scriptwriter Finis Farr, who were both actually with the CIA. The CIA followed this project up by acquiring the rights to 1984. You got it: Big Brother owns Big Brother.

Disney Under Fire For Blocking Simpsons Episode From Hong Kong Streaming Services

A month ago we reported that Hong Kong's new pro-China film censorship law could see an eventual ban on Netflix and Amazon and other streaming services. The legislation was part of the continuing unfolding of the sweeping pro-China 'national security law' of June 2020, with the film censorship even working retroactively for any movies or programming "found to be contrary to national security interests".

Questions are now being asked about why Disney's streaming service in Hong Kong, Disney Plus, has blocked a popular episode of the "Simpsons". The episode in question features reference to the famous "tank man" photo from the June 1989 Tiananmen Square protests and massacre. The episode entitled "Goo Goo Gai Pan" also features jokes or references that could be deemed offensive to people of Chinese or Asian descent.

To save money, Zoromski said the film’s producers (Baldwin is a credited producer) took two separate jobs — prop master and armorer — and combined them into one job.

“I impressed upon them,” he said, “that there were great concerns about that, and they didn’t really respond to my concerns about that.”

In a separate interview with the far-left L.A. Times, he described Rust as “an accident waiting to happen.”

Asst. Director Who Handed Alec Baldwin Prop Gun Terminated from Previous Film After Firearm Incident: Reports

Rust assistant director David Halls, who handed Alec Baldwin a prop gun moments before the fatal on-set shooting last week, was reportedly terminated from a previous film after a situation involving a firearm injured a crew member.

Halls was the assistant director on 2019's Freedom's Path when a gun unexpectedly discharged on the Arkansas set. A crew member from the sound department reportedly jumped back from the blast and incurred an injury, the film's producers told Deadline and CNN.

"Halls was removed from set immediately after the prop gun discharged. Production did not resume filming until Dave was off-site," producers told both outlets. "An incident report was taken and filed at that time."

The unnamed producers also told CNN that Halls "was very remorseful for the events, and understood the reasons he was being terminated."

Gun that killed Halyna Hutchins used for leisure shooting by crew the morning of the accident: report

Crew members on the movie "Rust" reportedly used the firearm involved in the death of Halyna Hutchins the morning of the fatal accident.

According to a search warrant executed by the Santa Fe County Sheriff's office, obtained by Fox News, Armorer Hanna Gutierrez Reed handled the prop gun, leaving it among others on a cart outside the set location they were filming. Assistant director Dave Halls then retrieved the gun and handed it to actor Alec Baldwin announcing that it was a "cold gun," a term used to indicate that a prop gun is safe to handle and not loaded with live ammunition.

However, somewhere along the line, there was a miscommunication and a live round was put in the weapon that discharged when Baldwin pulled the trigger, killing Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza. TMZ previously speculated, after sources close to the set reported that the guns were sometimes used for off-time target practice, that the hobby contributed to the live-round mixup.

John Oliver says 'f---ing let' police officers who resist vaccine mandates quit

"Last Week Tonight" host John Oliver took aim at police officers who have yet to get the COVID-19 vaccine, encouraging them to "f---ing" quit if they don't want to comply.

"The police are supposed to be keeping the public safe," Oliver said. "That is the point of their jobs. Yet some don't seem to give much of a s--t about that."

The liberal host singled out the Chicago and New York Police Departments as falling under that category. CPD officers, he noted, resisted uploading their vaccination statuses to a portal. Over 20 officers are on a no-pay status for refusing to comply and face possible termination, the Chicago Sun-Times has reported.

Detectives find loose and boxed ammunition and a 'fanny pack with ammo' on Rust set where Alec Baldwin accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42, as he rehearsed drawing a gun

Detectives have recovered loose and boxed ammunition and a 'fanny pack w/ammo' from the set of Rust where Alec Baldwin shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

An inventory of seized items was released by authorities but did not specify the type of ammo nor whether it included live or dummy bullets or blank cartridges.

The items included three revolvers, two boxes of 'ammo,' 'loose ammo and boxes', spent casings as well as 'a fanny pack w/ammo', according to the inventory delivered to Santa Fe County Magistrate Court.

DAVE CHAPPELLE VS THE TYRANNY OF THE GENDER AGENDA

In my honest opinion, Dave Chappelle’s latest comedy special The Closer wasn’t that funny. At times, there were glimpses of early Chappelle, the one that was relentlessly hilarious. However, these moments did not last long. Clearly, being funny was not Chappelle’s top priority.

The Closer was about proving a point. And it only took a few days to see this point proven to an absurd degree.

Like the vast majority of people on Earth, Chappelle believes that men have male reproductive organs and that women have female reproductive organs. That is why the word “gender” and “genitals” share the same root word.

However, this basic fact of life, which was an unquestioned, universally accepted truth only a few years ago has become taboo. Even worse, it is now considered offensive and “transphobic”. Not by regular people, but by a powerful agenda that is looking to completely redefine the meaning of gender and human sexuality in general.

Watch: Bill Maher Picks Sides In The Chappelle-Netflix Conflict

In Friday's episode of Real Time with Bill Maher, the show’s namesake bashed the response Dave Chappelle's Netflix special, 'The Closer' received from the left, specifically calling out NPR's review of the performance, accusing Chappelle of white privilege.

"There isn't just one true opinion. I'm a free-speech guy," Maher stated. "Now, I'm 'Team Dave,' but that doesn't mean I'm anti-trans. We can have two thoughts in our head at the same time."

Maher condemned the accusations against Chappelle, claiming that he is "transphobic."

JUST IN: Alec Baldwin Accidentally Shoots and Kills Crew Member on Movie Set

Alec Baldwin on Thursday accidentally shot and killed a crew member on a movie set while filming the western “Rust” in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

According to Deadline, Baldwin discharged a prop gun that killed one member and injured another.

The fatal shooting is currently under criminal investigation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Shades of Brandon Lee and "The Crow!"

When I worked on LOST, there was a strict policy against functioning guns on the set. They used "unguns" which were fabricated to look authentic, but could not be loaded with a real bullet or even a normal blank round. Instead, there was an electrically fired pyrotechnic charge to create the flash and smoke of a real firing. I was unable to locate the company that makes them on the web and maybe they went out of business, but again, the tragic experience during the filming of "The Crow" should have been a reminder that any gun, even a prop gun, can be a danger if mishandled.

Latest Hollywood Wokeism Production HUGE FAIL

One of the latest Disney’s movies called The Last Duel that stars Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, turned out to be an epic fail at the box office on its opening weekend, due to the fact that it grossed a small $4.8 million.

This medieval epic film innovatively incorporated woke gender politics, following the latest trends, by embracing the #MeToo movement and hiring a female screenwriter aiming to add an anachronistic feminist perspective to the screenplay originally written by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These "woke" productions are giant money shredders and yet Hollywood keeps cranking this crap out. People do not go to the movies or watch TV to be lectured at and indoctrinated. They want to be entertained. They want to have fun! Wokism isn't interested in people having fun.

Netflix CEO Now Says He ‘Screwed Up’ Defending Dave Chappelle Calling Out the 2SLGBTQQIA+ Agenda

Caving to the mutiny people have pushed within his own company, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos now claims he “screwed up” when defending comedian Dave Chappelle against the 2SLGBTQQIA+ activists outraged over his explosive stand-up special The Closer.

According to Sarandos, his defense of Chappelle should have “led with more humanity” by acknowledging the “pain and hurt” his employees were feeling due to the company’s decision to host Chappelle’s special.

“I screwed up that internal communication. I did that, and I screwed it up in two ways,” Sarandos told Variety in an interview on Tuesday. “First and foremost, I should have led with a lot more humanity.”

“I had a group of employees who were definitely feeling pain and hurt from a decision we made,” he added. “And I think that needs to be acknowledged up front before you get into the nuts and bolts of anything. I didn’t do that.”

Netflix Staff Apparently Unaware That Dave Chappelle's Comedy Special Would Include Jokes

Comedian Dave Chappelle's newest hourlong special, The Closer, pokes fun at people's pieties, sprinkled with a tenderness that Chappelle has long supplied. It's humane and irreverent and, yes, he directly deals with the criticism and cancellation attempts he's gotten from transgender activists; why wouldn't he? He's never been one to shy away from good material.

If you were reading reviews of the special, you wouldn't know that. "Too often in The Closer, it just sounds like Chappelle is using white privilege to excuse his own homophobia and transphobia," sanctimoniously declares an NPR piece, clumsily arguing that he thinks that the plight of the black man in America trumps oppression faced by all other identity groups, intimating that Chappelle is just looking for thinly veiled excuses for his own purported animus. A Daily Beast headline reads "Dave Chappelle, and the Week From Hell For Trans People."

Bo Burnham’s ‘Inside (The Songs)’ ineligible for comedy Grammy

The accompanying album to Bo Burnham’s Netflix comedy special Inside has been deemed ineligible for the Best Comedy Album award at next year’s Grammys.

The comedian, musician, actor and director surprised fans in May by releasing Inside, his first comedy special in five years. A month later, he shared ‘Inside (The Songs)’, an LP featuring songs from the special.

According to Billboard, the Recording Academy has decided that ‘Inside (The Songs)’ does not meet the criteria to compete in the category for Best Comedy Album at the 64th annual Grammy Awards.

The album hasn’t been shut out completely as it will compete for Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media. The soundtrack for Jojo Rabbit won in the same category last year.

Forget cancelling provocateur Chappelle… it’s the black celebrities who disgrace their own race who REALLY deserve our ire

Instead of targeting comedy genius Dave Chappelle, we should be reserving our contempt for those black stars who diss their own people by perpetuating commonly held stereotypes while unapologetically sucking up to the ‘man’.

Dave Chappelle. Don’t you just love him? I mean, hate him? I mean, love to hate him…? Whatever. While debate still rages over whether the self-proclaimed “transphobic comedian” deserves to be persona non grata for making squillions of dollars out of telling jokes that some people may find offensive, Netflix has suspended a lowly trans employee who tweeted that Chappelle’s latest special, ‘The Closer’ was an “attack” that pitted “us [the trans community] against other marginalized groups.” Oh, dear.

Music Festivals Will Now Admit Unvaccinated Attendees Who Show Proof of a Negative COVID Test

By B.N. Frank

Vaccine side effects, injuries, deaths have been reported for decades. They continue to be reported about the COVID jabs as well, hence increasing American opposition to COVID vaccine mandates and lawsuits filed against them.

Some experts have also testified that the U.S. COVID death count is not being accurately reported. Businesses seem to be paying attention to all of this, including concert promoters...

"Foreign Is Dangerous" - China's Censors Are Banning Hollywood Films From Domestic Market

Just like American political leaders and financial giants, Hollywood has also misjudged China's intentions. After Dalian Wanda's takeover of the American production company Legendary Entertainment, some warned that Beijing was trying to subvert American audiences' opinion of China by injecting subtle Chinese propaganda into American films.

But it turns out, Beijing and President Xi had no intentions of embracing Hollywood: instead, it appears they're trying to keep Chinese consumers from absorbing Hollywood's decadent cultural values. Which is why American films have been increasingly blocked from being shown in the Chinese entertainment market in recent years.

Disney Documentary On Fauci Getting Brutal Reviews

The new Disney documentary on Doctor Anthony Fauci is getting some brutal reviews from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes.

The documentary features Fauci, the Biden administration’s top infectious disease specialist, and chronicles his career and rise as a public figure during the pandemic.

Disney describes the Fauci documentary as “a revealing portrait of one of our most dedicated public servants, whose work saved millions.”

Top critics on Rotten Tomatoes seem to agree with that assessment, but audience reviews have come to a different conclusion, giving an ‘audience score’ of just 2%.

Woke SNL PLUMMETS in ratings—season premiere down 35 percent from last year

This year's Saturday Night Live (SNL) season opener was watched by just 3.5 million viewers on Saturday, dropping 35 percent from the previous year.

The long-standing Nielsen agency released the data, which was drawn from 44 different areas. It should, however, be noted that this data is imputed and preliminary in nature, and that Nielsen will release the full data on Tuesday.

According to the New York Post, the show pulled out all the stops in order to get viewers to tune in. The show was hosted by actor Owen Wilson along with cast member Kenan Thompson. It also featured singer Kacey Musgraves, who, surprisingly, disrobed completely for her musical number, singing with only her cowboy boots and her guitar to hide her otherwise complete nudity.

These results are in line with the ratings of the last two episodes of SNL's 2020-2021 season, despite being a season opener. It also should be noted that the show's ratings were steadily sliding all throughout the previous season.

William Shatner will launch into space with Blue Origin on Oct. 12

Captain Kirk will boldly go where some men have gone before, on a suborbital flight aboard Blue Origin's New Shepard launch system.

Actor William Shatner of "Star Trek" fame and Blue Origin's Audrey Powers, the vice president of missions and flight operations, will fill the last two seats on the company's second crewed flight, due to blast off from New Shepard's west Texas launch site in just over a week, on Oct. 12. Rumors were swirling in late September that the 90-year-old actor would be on the company's second flight, which today's announcement confirms.

"I've heard about space for a long time now," Shatner said in a Blue Origin statement. "I'm taking the opportunity to see it for myself. What a miracle."

Shatner and his crewmates will fly just shy of three months after New Shepard's first crewed flight, which carried the company's founder, Amazon's Jeff Bezos, and three other passengers on a 10-minute flight that reached 66.5 miles (107 kilometers) in altitude.

Hollywood Stageworkers Consider First Strike In History In Threat To "Cripple" Content Studios

The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, one of Hollywood's most prominent unions, is eyeing a strike.

In what could be a massive blow to movie and TV studios, many of whom are still trying to deal with fallout from the pandemic, the union's leaders have hit an impasse while seeking shorter working hours as part of a new contract, Bloomberg reported Thursday.

The request has been in response to longer hours that have become the norm since Covid shut down a large portion of the industry.

The union has a membership of about 60,000, most of whom are based in Los Angeles. They are threatening to walk off the job, should the union's leadership - which is countrywide - decide. This means that a strike would affect studios across the U.S., not just in Los Angeles.

In total, 1 million jobs "directly tied to film and TV production" could be affected.

Broadway show to be held for “black-identifying” audiences only – and they’ve figured out how to make it legal

Broadway has announced that only whites will be allowed to attend Chicago in a special series of “white only” performances next month. The announcement sparked a great deal of controversy…oh, never mind.

What in fact did happen is that producers of a “critically acclaimed” Broadway show Slave Pay announced they would hold performances for a limited engagement in November for “Black identifying” people only, Breitbart News tells us.

Yes, this is 2021 and it may as well be 1963 since we have apparently rewound the time machine back to when everything was about race. Dr. King must be rolling in his grave.

According to Breitbart, the show was nominated for 12 Tony Awards however garnered none during the clearly racist awards ceremony that took place last week.

Fauci Flop? New Documentary About COVID Czar Fails To Disclose Box Office Results

A new documentary called "Fauci," released by National Geographic Documentary Films two weeks ago, honors Dr. Anthony Fauci's work to combat the HIV/AIDS epidemic and COVID-19 pandemic. Since the release two weeks ago, there's been no data on ticket sales by major film sites, according to Just The News.

The new documentary was released in theaters across York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, D.C., and New Orleans on Sept. 10. No major film site, including RottenTomatoes.com, Boxoffice Pro, IMDB.com, and BoxOfficeMojo.com, has calculated ticket sales or earnings for the film.

The documentary "follows the renowned infectious disease specialist's work in two health crises: AIDS and the coronavirus pandemic. Dr. Fauci agreed to participate as long as it didn't interfere with his work," NYT tweeted.

Shawn Robbins, the chief analyst with Boxoffice Pro, said it's "incredibly uncommon" for a major studio not to release box office earnings.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I certainly would not watch a puff-piece about Fauci. Would you?

New BET movie ‘Karen’ is 2021’s most rabidly racist film, as it tries to make hating white women culturally cool

Black Entertainment Television’s ‘Karen’ is a truly toxic movie riddled with the same identity-based hate that it supposedly aims to expose. The fact it’s been made at all makes a mockery of the serious subject matter.

When people inquire about what I do for a living and I tell them I’m a film critic, they often ask, “What’s that like?” My pat answer is, “It’s better than digging ditches.”

Having suffered through the atrociously awful new BET original movie ‘Karen’, I realize that statement isn’t true, as I would’ve been better off spending that hour and a half digging a ditch in which to bury myself alive.

‘Karen’ tells the story of Malik and Imani, a young black couple who move into a mostly white suburb of Atlanta. The titular character is their white racist neighbor Karen Drexler, who’s like the creature from the white lagoon, as menacing music accompanies her every appearance on screen.

How the CDC used the movie ‘Contagion’ to exploit the anthrax plot and increase their staff and budgets

Newly released documents have revealed the extent of the CDC’s role in the 2011 film, and how they milked the positive publicity. But they also beg the question why they weren’t more prepared for a real pandemic, like Covid.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is one of the fastest-growing federal agencies of recent decades. In 1987, their budget was $590 million but by 2020 it had ballooned to over $8 billion, leading journalist Eric Boehm to observe, “If the agency had grown with inflation since 1987, it would have a budget of about $1.3 billion today. Total federal spending, meanwhile, has grown from a hair over $1 trillion in 1987 to $4.4 trillion last year—which means that the CDC's budget has grown faster [than] the government’s overall spending.”

Biden Says Children Must Be Masked, But Celebrities Are Exempt? - (Video)

The Emmys were skewered on social media as observers took notice of the lack of coronavirus safety measures, especially masks.

The 2021 awards show was one of the first to return to the typical in-person format after over a year of delayed and adjusted ceremonies like the Oscars and Golden Globes. Some of the stars in attendance on Sunday were seen on the broadcast wearing masks or observing social distancing suggestions.

Although host Cedric the Entertainer noted on the broadcast that everyone in attendance had to show evidence of vaccination, as well as test negative for COVID-19, stars like Seth Rogen, came out swinging at the lack of requirements. He wasn’t the only one.

Reinventing the deliciously female Jessica Rabbit is a step too far from the joyless revisionists who are destroying Disney

The news Jessica Rabbit is to be reimagined in a role “more relevant to today’s culture” confirms that common-sense has left the building at Disney, a company which now seems to focus more on virtue signalling than entertaining.

Okay, I have to admit to something that’s not exactly cool. Ready? I had a crush on a cartoon character when I was a teenager. It wasn’t Marge from The Simpsons. Nor Betty Rubble from The Flintstones. Nope.

It was Jessica Rabbit, from the late ’80s Disney flick ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’. Nightclub singer Jessica Rabbit was most definitely – voluptuously – female and, to my adolescent self, very, very sexy... er, for a drawing.

SPIELBERG’S RAPTOR

YOU JUST FOUND SPIELBERG’S RAPTOR!”

Paleontologist Robert Bakker’s exclamation to his colleague, Jim Kirkland, on the phone back in 1991 was quite literally about a big discovery.

Digging in Gaston Quarry in Grand County, Utah, Kirkland had uncovered fossils of giant newly discovered raptor. Snout to tail, the ferocious creature would’ve been about 20 feet long and six feet tall, with long, curved, razor-sharp talons on each foot measuring nearly a foot in length.

At the time, Bakker was consulting with some of the dinosaur artists on Steven Spielberg’s upcoming Jurassic Park, and he had a problem. He knew the now-iconic Velociraptors in the movie were going to be about three times larger than they actually were — or exactly the size of Kirkland’s soon-to-be-named Utahraptor (pronounced “Utah-raptor”).

Biden to meet Disney chief, other CEOs in 'rallying cry' for vaccine mandates

U.S. President Joe Biden will meet on Wednesday with business leaders as he pushes companies to require workers to be vaccinated amid a surge in COVID-19 infections among those without a dose.

Participants in the meeting include the chief executives of Walt Disney Co, Microsoft Corp and Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc, the White House said.

Biden last week announced here vaccine mandates for nearly all federal employees, federal contractors, and larger companies as the number of U.S. infections continued to rise, hospital beds in some parts of the country filled up and mask requirements returned.

Some Republican-led states are defying recommendations from health officials, citing economic or freedom-of-choice arguments. Biden, a Democrat, has chosen to dig in on the issue, embracing vaccine requirements despite fierce opposition.

Still, opinion polls have shown a majority Americans support some form of mandates.

“DeSantis is the new Jim Jones…” Baldwin wrote, without offering any further explanation.

The Great Replacement Comes for Captain America: He’s Now Black. In Marvel Cinematic Universe, Whites Have No Place

The Great Replacement will not leave anything created by the Historic American Nation untouched. That includes Captain America, the quintessential Historic American. Two years after killing off the most important Marvel Cinematic Universe characters, the very white Captain America and Iron Man, in Avengers: Endgame, Disney plans a fourth theatrical release: Captain America 4. But now it will star black actor Anthony Mackie, also the lead in the Falcon and the Winter Soldier Disney + miniseries, where he was sort of a moral compass showing whites True North; i.e., how to internalize anti-white propaganda, and assist in their own dispossession.

Both projects are the creations of Malcom Spellman, who is half-black, half-Jewish and wholly anti-white:

Porn games are ready for their big data money shot

Nutaku claims that MindGeek has been willing to invest in it because the porn powerhouse simply wants to tap a huge, underserved market for hentai games. But a number of adult industry insiders and observers, as well as information security experts, suspect there may be another motive at play: the absolutely obscene amount of user data that companies can potentially mine out of porn games. Data is, after all, far better than cash in the bank for any modern digital company — but its rampant collection is extremely worrying for any modern digital consumer.
