FEDERAL JUDGE ORDERS HILLARY CLINTON DEPOSITION TO ADDRESS PRIVATE EMAILS: 'STILL MORE TO LEARN'

A federal judge Monday granted a request from conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch to have former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sit for a sworn deposition to answer questions about her use of a private email server to conduct government business.

Clinton has argued that she has already answered questions about this and should not have to do so again -- the matter did not result in any charges for the then-presidential candidate in 2016 after a high-profile investigation -- but D.C. District Court Judge Royce C. Lamberth said in his ruling that her past responses left much to be desired.

"As extensive as the existing record is, it does not sufficiently explain Secretary Clinton’s state of mind when she decided it would be an acceptable practice to set up and use a private server to conduct State Department business," Lamberth said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am not holding my breath, awaiting for Clinton to respond here, in any way, shape, or form.

Exit polls: 59 seats to Netanyahu's right-wing bloc

Highest turnout in 21 years appears to have worked in Netanyahu's favor as he claims right to form government; all three exit polls predict Gantz's Blue & White losing significant ground to ruling Likud
Ynet|
Updated: 03.03.20 , 02:08

Voting in Israel's Election Day ended at 10pm Tuesday with the three main television exit polls predicting that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party will likely claim significantly more seats than Benny Gantz's Blue & White party but with the right-wing bloc still two seats short of a parliamentary majority.

An initial prediction from the three channels of 60 seats to the right-wing bloc was amended by all 59 seats as the night went on.
According to the public broadcaster KAN, Likud has won 36 seats, while the Blue & White has won 33 seats. Channel 12 (Keshet) had Likud on 37 seats and Blue & White on 32. According to Channel 13, Likud will win 37 seats and Blue & White 34 seats.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The problems here are, that without some kind of coalition, and plurality with Gantz's"Blue & White Party", Netanyahu's win yesterday, makes Israel no more governable than before the election started, because the rivalry between Netanyahu's party, and Gantz's, never got resolved.

We will see if there is any resolution in the near future, but given both mens' penchants for hubris, you could see Israel at war with any of her regional neighbors in a heartbeat.

THE NOBILITY OF TULSI GABBARD

SOURCE: W.J.ASTORE VIA BRACINGVIEWS.COM
In the South Carolina primary won on Saturday by Joe Biden, Tulsi Gabbard earned only 1.3% of the vote. Her poor showing was due in part to her outcast status among the Democratic establishment joined by mainstream media outlets like MSNBC and CNN.

Speaking of CNN, I caught a few minutes of coverage over the weekend during which its commentators confessed they couldn’t understand why Tulsi was still running. One person (Anderson Cooper, the weasel) suggested she was angling for a job with Fox News.

Of course, Tulsi’s principled opposition to regime-change wars and other disastrous U.S. foreign policy decisions went unmentioned. When her name is mentioned by the corporate-owned media, it’s usually in the context of the candidate most likely to succeed – in Russia.

By running in the election, Tulsi Gabbard continues to make an invaluable contribution:

Webmaster's Commentary:

This woman may well go down in history, as one of the most principled candidates in the 2020 race; that is why she was knocked out of contention, because she is no warmonger, and doesn't believe that the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika needs these endless wars to keep it alive and well.

Jewish leaders say they’re in ‘fight’ against Bernie Sanders at AIPAC

The Vermont senator’s decision to boycott the meeting — once a crucial soapbox for presidential wannabes — also rankled Jewish voters at the event who blasted him for fostering growing anti-Semitism in the Democrat Party, they said.

“He is bad news,” Malcolm Sherman, a retired math professor from Albany, New York, told The Post. “He is not a friend of Israel.”

Pro-Trump Group Defiantly Says They Won’t Pull Obama Ad Despite Cease-And-Desist Letter

A Republican super PAC has just announced that they will not be pulling an ad featuring Barack Obama despite receiving a cease-and-desist letter from attorneys representing the former president demanding that they do so.

The Committee to Defend the President has responded to the letter by saying that the ad, which is currently airing in South Carolina, ”is a lawful expression of political speech.”

“CDP will not only refuse to take ‘Enough Empty Promises’ down but will distribute this advertisement to an additional 50,000 South Carolina Democratic primary voters,” the group said, according to The Hill.

Bernie vs AIPAC: As Sanders Surges, pro-Israel Democrats Scramble for Backup Plan

For about a minute last week, it seemed like the traditionally pro-Israel moderates in the Democratic Party were coming to terms with the fact that their least favorite candidate, Senator Bernie Sanders, had all but locked down their party’s presidential nomination.

They appeared to be ceasing their attacks on Sanders in the name of party unity, and because alienating the presumptive nominee – who would be the first Jewish nominee by a major party in U.S. history – wasn’t a wise move.

But the cease-fire proved too fragile to hold.

Where’s the outrage over Netanyahu trying to interfere in the US election?

For the last four years, there’s been a national debate regarding the scope of Russian interference in the 2016 election. The issue might end up dominating discourse in 2020 as well. Last month, intelligence officials warned House members that Russia is allegedly meddling in an effort to get Trump reelected.

Concerns about Putin’s impact on U.S. elections has generated countless articles and wall-to-wall cable news coverage. It also fueled an impeachment investigation. However, blatant election interference from other countries is certainly not treated in the same way.

This contradiction was on display over the weekend, when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed AIPAC’s annual policy conference via video feed. Netanyahu repeatedly referenced Democratic frontrunner Bernie Sanders, who skipped the conference and claimed that the lobbying group promotes bigotry. At the most recent Democratic debate, Sanders called Netanyahu a “reactionary racist.”

Netanyahu’s party is accused of using coronavirus hoax to suppress vote

Two recent hoaxes about coronavirus contagions in Israel have led to warnings that Likud will attempt to used corona hoaxes as a tactic of voter suppression during Israel’s election tomorrow. Benjamin Gantz, leader of the main opposition party Blue White, denounced today a corona hoax as a Likud dirty trick, an attempt “by Netanyahu to prevent you from going out and voting.”

There have been two corona hoaxes so far: one last week in Mevaseret Zion outside Jerusalem, and one today, in Givataiym, a city east of Tel Aviv. Both towns are considered to be Blue White strongholds. Both rumors were denied as hoaxes within hours by the Ministry of Health, but during election day, a delay of hours can lead to massive vote suppression. Another hoax was reported in the Palestinian region of the Triangle: an ad, supposedly put out by the Ministry of Health, calling upon citizens to avoid leaving their homes without plague masks. The Ministry of Health has issued no such recommendation.

'He's dead wrong': Bloomberg attacks Sanders over AIPAC criticism

US presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg slammed Bernie Sanders' opposition to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), accusing the Vermont Senator of undermining US-Israeli ties.

Sanders, who's been an outspoken critic of Israel and proponent for Palestinian rights, announced last month that he would not be attending AIPAC's annual conference because it was a platform "for leaders who express bigotry and oppose basic Palestinian rights".

In addition, Sanders took a shot at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a regular at the convention, calling him a "reactionary racist".

Judge Orders Hillary Clinton To Appear For Deposition As Part Of Judicial Watch Lawsuit

A federal judge on Monday ordered Hillary Clinton to appear for a deposition as part of a lawsuit filed by the watchdog group Judicial Watch, saying in a ruling that the former secretary of state’s written responses so far in the case have “left many more questions than answers” about her decision to use a private email system while in office.

Judge Royce Lamberth also granted Judicial Watch permission to depose Cheryl Mills, a top aide to Clinton at the State Department.

Turkey in Syria: Down a Blind Alley in an Unwinnable War?

Turkish Forces Will Leave Syria – One Way or Another

Turkish troops will not be able to remain indefinitely in Syria. Their proxies will eventually be liquidated and the positions of Turkish forces surrounded by Syrian forces. In many areas of Idlib this is already the case. Additional Turkish troops and supplies fed into losing battles and what is ultimately a lost war will only delay the inevitable undoing of Turkish interests in Syria.

Ankara could – on the other hand – begin aligning its policies with the reality of what is happening in Idlib and expand its cooperation with Russia and Iran regarding the Syrian conflict – incrementally withdrawing support from militant groups, encouraging them to disarm and surrender, and gradually handing over Turkish positions within Syria to the actual military, government, and people of Syria.

His own has been rife with gaffs, including the claim that “150,000,000 Americans have died from gun violence since 2007–which would be half the US population of around 330,000,000–but that he himself was a “candidate for the US Senate” and that he worked on the 2016 Paris Climate Accord with Chinese leaders Deng Xiaoping, who died more than 20 years ago!

Yet, despite efforts by other campaigns and more progressive-leaning media outlets to dampen Bloomberg’s chances at the nomination, one clear weakness of Bloomberg’s has thus far evaded meaningful media coverage: his ties to key players in the Epstein scandal, including Leslie Wexner, Ghislaine Maxwell and even Jeffrey Epstein himself.

Seth Rich, Julian Assange and Dana Rohrabacher - Will We Ever Know the Truth About the Stolen DNC Files?

The media is doing its best to make the Seth Rich story go away, but it seems to have a life of its own, possibly due to the fact that the accepted narrative about how Rich died makes no sense. In its latest manifestation, it provides an alternative explanation for just how the information from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) computer somehow made its way to Wikileaks. If you believe that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide and that he was just a nasty pedophile rather than an Israeli intelligence agent, read no farther because you will not be interested in Rich. But if you appreciate that it was unlikely that the Russians were behind the stealing of the DNC information you will begin to understand that other interested players must have been at work.

Apparent efforts to quash discussion of the documented relationship between billionaire Democratic candidate Mike Bloomberg and billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have only added more fuel to the fire on social media.

Turkey Asks NATO to Join Its War Against Syria and Russia

Note: The events that led to this critical impasse were reported by me last night, and that report thus continues here, in order to provide context to these events.

The spokesperson for the Islamist party of Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdogan has called upon all of NATO to go to war against Syria for Syria’s having killed dozens of Turkey’s troops in order for Syria to defeat Turkey’s invasion and military occupation of Syria’s Idlib Province, which borders on Turkey. Going to war against Syria would mean going to war also against Russia, which is in Syria to protect Syria’s sovereignty over its own territory. If the United States accepts that Turkish proposal, then World War III will consequently result.

The Iranian parliamentary elections have been marred with low voter turnout and a pending victory for Iran’s conservatives. Are the media right to lay the blame squarely on the government, or does the US share some culpability?
The mainstream media has been holding back no punches in its assessment of the recent elections in Iran. According to Iran’s official Fars News Agency, only 42 percent of Iranians took to vote in the country’s parliamentary elections last Friday — the lowest ever percentage since the Islamic Republic’s inception 41 years ago. The low turnout was not surprising to Iran, or even the world, after approximately half of the 16,000 candidates were disqualified.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately, the US government does share some major culpability for this outcome; it's attitude toward Iran, from abandoning the P5+1 deal, to making desperately needed medications, particularly for cancer patients, unavailable, is nothing short of spectacularly short sighted, and geopolitically damning.

UK Should Be 'Scared to Death' of Assange Extradition Over Public Backlash - Politician

LONDON (Sputnik) - The UK government should be "scared to death" of a popular uproar over its treatment of the imprisoned founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, especially in the event of him being extradited to face espionage charges in the United States, Chris Marsden, the national secretary of the UK Socialist Equality Party, said.

The remarks come amid Assange's extradition hearing that started on Monday at Woolwich Crown Court in the UK capital of London. Earlier in the day, dozens of WikiLeaks supporters gathered outside the court, carrying banners with messages such as "Don’t Extradite Assange" and "The Truth Will Win."

According to Marsden, the accusations against Assange were effectively a "frame up" arguably motivated by Washington's desire to punish the whistleblower for his role in the publishing of materials implicating US forces in possible war crimes.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please remember; none of the Wikileaks revelations have ever been proven wrong.
