Thought for the day
"Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle. The real extent of this state of misinformation is known only to those who are in situations to confront facts within their knowledge with the lies of the day. I really look with commiseration over the great body of my fellow citizens, who, reading newspapers, live and die in the belief that they have known something of what has been passing in the world." -- Thomas Jefferson, to John Norvell, June 14, 1807
Apple has allegedly told its suppliers based in Taiwan Friday to follow Chinese customs relations and label products “Taiwan, China” or “Chinese Taipei,” following House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s recent visit to the nation’s capital city, Taipei.
Outrage was the word of the night among Trump supporters on Monday after news broke of the FBI’s raid on former President Donald Trump’s Palm Beach, Florida, home. The unprecedented invasion of Mar-a-Lago quickly took precedence over Republicans’ consternation over the Senate’s passage of the inaptly named “Inflation Reduction Act.”
Famed conservative attorney Harmeet Dhillon, whose resume includes serving as former vice chairwoman of the California Republican Party, as well as being an expert on civil liberties, issued a laundry list condemning actions of the FBI in the wake of its raid on the home of former President Trump.
As China waged extensive military exercises off of Taiwan last week, a group of American defense experts in Washington was focused on their own simulation of an eventual — but for now entirely hypothetical — US-China war over the island.
The Hollywood star Alec Baldwin is being widely slammed after he praised the actress Anne Heche as “brave” following a horrific incident in which she “drunkenly” slammed her car into a house in Los Angeles.
TIME Magazine has published an extraordinary investigative piece titled, “The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election,” detailing how an extensive network of powerful and wealthy people ran a “shadow” campaign in order to save the election.
The column, authored by Molly Ball, lays out a scenario involving “a well-funded cabal of powerful people” who worked in concert to change election laws and control the dissemination of information before and after the election.
And now they seemingly want credit for their actions.
Those entities “want the secret history of the 2020 election told, even though it sounds like a paranoid fever dream,” the column reads.
“A well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and ideologies, working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage, and control the flow of information.”
The piece notes that former President Donald Trump had observed a shift in behavior in corporate America even as he sought to challenge the results of the 2020 election.
“It was all very, very strange,” TIME quotes Trump as saying in early December. “Within days after the election, we witnessed an orchestrated effort to anoint the winner, even while many key states were still being counted.”
The magazine observes: “In a way, Trump was right.”

A thief was in the middle of stealing a catalytic converter when he was confronted, beaten and chased away by his soon-to-be victim, security video shows.
Clay Hayner, a photographer, said it happened Thursday night outside his studio in Dallas’ Design District.
The video shows a man with what appears to be a bag of tools getting underneath Hayner’s van. Hayner said he got a notification from his Ring camera and went outside to see.
“I ran out there…I figured he’d run up the street by the time I got out there. And I look and he’s under there, and he’s got a knife. And I just kind of lost it,” he recalled. “And that’s when I started beating him.”
Think the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago was just about former President Donald Trump? Think again, says Kari Lake.
Veteran college football coach Cale Gundy resigned Sunday night after admitting to reading a “shameful” word from a player’s iPad. While one of Gundy’s former players decried the decision, his current boss said the resignation was necessary.
The White House claims it only learned of the FBI’s stunning raid on former President Trump’s home in Florida on Twitter, at the same time the media did, according to multiple reports.
The FBI raided the Mar a Lago home of Donald Trump this morning. democrats are frothing in excitement over the news, but none seem to have a grasp on the facts. The raid is said to have to do with classified documents allegedly removed from the White House. The warrant was approved by Merrick Garland, who managed to find time to do this when he’s been so busy threatening school child mothers.
Here’s where this goes off into the weeds:
The two sources, both briefed on the raid, said the agents who executed the search were from the Washington Field Office, the same office that whistleblowers recently complained to Sen. Charles Grassley was involved in political meddling into investigations involving Trump and Hunter Biden.
That same DC Field Office has been accused of abuse of power by whistleblowers.
The documents sought in the raid were already marked declassified because Trump declassified them.
Happy Tuesday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. Jeffrey’s predilection for chasing everything down with root beer was burdensome to his friends after every late-night Taco Bell bender.
Gosh, it seems like just yesterday that I was writing here about President LOLEightyonemillion’s puppet masters weaponizing and unleashing their rogue federal agencies on their political opponents.
For the last couple of years, I’ve been saying that I’m wary of putting even outlandish things into the universe because they might come true. Well, dear readers, here we are, sooner than even I expected.
Sealed search warrant here signed by Bruce E Reinhart, magistrate judge for the Southern District of Florida
On Oct 23, 2007, as federal prosecutors in South Florida were in the midst of tense negotiations to finalize a plea deal with accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, a senior prosecutor in their office was quietly laying out plans to leave the U.S. attorney’s office after 11 years. On that date, as emails were flying between Epstein’s lawyers and federal prosecutors, Bruce E. Reinhart, now a federal magistrate, opened a limited liability company in Florida that established what would become his new criminal defense practice. The stated address, according to Florida state corporate records: 250 South Australian Ave., Suite 1400. It was the same location, and identical suite number, as that of Epstein’s lead attorney, Jack Goldberger. By the end of the year, Reinhart had resigned his post in the Southern District of Florida. Within days, on Jan. 2, 2008, he was hired to represent several of Epstein’s accused accomplices who would later, like Epstein, receive federal immunity for allegedly trafficking underage girls. Reinhart’s defection was one of many highly unusual turns that the Epstein case took 12 years ago, moves that could merit examination as the multimillionaire’s controversial non-prosecution agreement is dissected in the wake of his arrest last week on sex trafficking charges.
Eric Trump said his father, Donald Trump, had nothing in a safe they claim the FBI breached as part of a raid of the former president's Mar-a-Largo resort on Monday.
The second son of the 45th president said he was with his father in New York City when they found out about the search, and he indicated that it was related to records that Donald Trump brought back with him to his resort in Florida after leaving office.
"Today, to have 30 FBI agents, actually more than that, descend on Mar-a-Largo, give absolutely no notice, go through the gate, start ransacking an office, ransacking a closet, you know — they broke into a safe. He didn't even have anything in the safe," Eric Trump told Fox News.
Donald Trump said in a statement earlier Monday that his Florida home was "under siege" by the FBI and claimed agents "broke into [his] safe."
When the FBI raided Donald Trump’s home on Monday, a key aspect of what made the United States of America great and free has been lost, and likely cannot be recovered. John Adams and Thomas Jefferson detested one another for years before their eventual reconciliation, but neither one used the agencies of the U.S. government to hound, persecute or discredit the other. Other bitter political opponents throughout the history of the republic have never before used the government’s own mechanisms of justice to do injustice to their foes. Joe Biden, Merrick Garland and their henchmen have brought America to a new phase of its history, and it is not likely to be one that is marked by respect for the rule of law or defense of the rights of individual citizens. Instead, we are entering an ugly age of authoritarianism, in which the brute force of the state is used to bend the people to the will of the tyrant.
Trump announced on Monday, “These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents. Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before. After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate.”
The 45th president is not given to understatement, but the FBI raid on his home is much more than just unnecessary and inappropriate. It is criminal. The FBI that was heavily involved in trying to frame and destroy Trump in the Russian Collusion hoax is now trying once again to destroy him, apparently by claiming that he improperly took classified material from the White House. They never cared when Hillary Clinton misused classified material on a grand scale; what is the difference? They’re also likely trying to find something to link him more firmly to the January 6 “insurrection” that never was. The Left’s January 6 narrative has been full of holes from the beginning: Trump told the demonstrators to proceed peacefully, the people who entered the Capitol had no weapons, and no one had sketched out any kind of plan to do what the Left continues to claim that Trump was trying to do all along, overthrow the government and rule as a dictator.
Snoring is such a common occurrence that most spouses would think nothing of it, but its persistence one night sparked a wife’s concern.
The former president reacted with fury to news that his Mar-a-Lago estate was searched by the FBI, while he was in New York City.
Trump, 76, said his Florida home was 'under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents.'
'They even broke into my safe!' he said.
'The political persecution of President Donald J. Trump has been going on for years, with the now fully debunked Russia, Russia, Russia Scam, Impeachment Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax #2, and so much more, it just never ends,' he said in a statement.
'It is political targeting at the highest level!
Famed neurosurgeon Ben Carson, who served as former President Trump’s secretary of Housing and Urban Development, blasted the FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home on Monday, comparing the action to those of infamous communist tyrants Mao Zedong and Fidel Castro.
Elon Musk denounced President Joe Biden’s push to free WNBA player Brittney Griner from Russia for a drug offense while thousands of Americans are locked up at home for similar crimes.
Griner was sentenced to 9 years in a Russian jail late last week after Russian prosecutors had claimed that Griner, who was convicted of deliberately sneaking marijuana vaping materials into the nation, should serve 9 1/2 years in prison.
Fox News weekend host Dan Bongino went ballistic on the network after news broke that the FBI raided the residence of Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago.
“This is some third-world bullshit right here,” Bongino declared on Monday’s Jesse Watters Primetime. “Let me say it again: third-world bullshit. I mean every word of that I don’t care that it’s cable news.”
The Congress of Aboriginal Peoples (CAP) filed a formal legal petition to the United Nations Human Rights Committee against the current Canadian federal government led by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The formal legal complaint, filed on September 9 with the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, outlines the Canadian government’s discrimination against Canada’s off-reserve Status and non-Status, Métis, and Inuit Indigenous peoples based on their indigeneity. The legal filing clearly makes the case that the Canadian government’s discrimination is based on the inaccurate and stereotypical assumption that Canada’s off-reserve Indigenous peoples are less Indigenous than their reserve-based counterparts, and that federal government programs and policy fails to meet their needs.
CAP said at the core of the UN legal action is the idea the Trudeau government denies rights to CAP and its constituents, Canada’s off-reserve Indigenous peoples. This was done by failing to involve them adequately, or at all, in consultation or negotiations about self-government, land claims, healthcare, education, infrastructure, or natural resources.

The Earth often has ways of making the “science” of climate change seem a bit ridiculous in the face of the great power of nature, and this year the eruption of Tonga’s Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai volcano is only the latest example of that might.
It’s actually fun to watch Elon Musk run free on Twitter, had this been anyone else, Twitter would have censored them and kicked them off. But yet again, Musk has Twitter in a position where it can’t kick Musk off the site because he is the potential new owner.
Woke General Mark Milley drafted a cringeworthy letter of resignation after President Donald Trump ordered Lafayette Square cleared of violent Black Lives Matter rioters in June 2020.
After BLM rioters set fire to the historic St John's Church across from the White House and started looting local shops and attacking people in the street, Trump reportedly asked Milley to "take personal charge" of putting the riots down.
As a woke coward and BLM supporter focused solely on the evils of "white rage," Milley turned him down and instead scuttled himself off to his office in the Pentagon to write and rewrite a letter of resignation he never had the balls to actually present.
